I think they weren't expecting the popularity of JackZi (LiKe cp) when they were shooting their scenes. And now the team definitely regrets not putting enough of their scenes. The fact that they have a very large following despite only appearing for about 2-3 minutes per episode is really impressive. Imagine the power they'll have if they were given decent screentime or perhaps a series/movie of their own.

Am I the only who was amazed with Kenny's (Zhaozi) acting in tonight's episode? He gave us ANGER and PASSION, he gave us LONGING and DESIRE. He showed us mature adult Zhaozi, vulnerable Zhaozi and the Zhaozi with a sense of self-agency. Kenny really outdid himself in this episode. And to think this is his first acting project?

Now I'm kinda scared. I wish they had it the other way around though. I think we have one final twist before the series ends. And for some reason I think Daoyi has something to do with it.

His grandma passed away and his bestfriend, Shaofei, was shot. And now Jack is leaving, too. I can only imagine the pain he's feeling right now. He probably feels so alone. Can you hear me crying? TT . TT

It is. No one really deserves hate. Especially the director that's just doing her job. She seems so nice and I feel bad she had to deactivate her social media accounts to avoid getting hate.

I also like those two. But after their scene, they were basically tossed aside. Hence, Hong Ye disappeared after the whole hostage thing. I don't mind them including a hetero couple, I actually like it as it shows how dynamic love is, and normalizing BL as a whole as most series fetishizes BL. My problem is they promoted JackZi as the second leads, but have them no decent development whatsoever. It is unfair to the actors and to their fans. And regarding the previous scenes, yes, there are a LOT of filler scenes that should've been removed. Andy is one of those. And the doctor as well. As I previously said, if they focused on the actual important things, and maybe foreshadowed some gang stuff early on, they wouldn't need to cram everything after ep. 12.

Their dynamic is interesting. To be honest, if they were given more screentime, perhaps they would've done more. Jack's character in itself could be a whole subplot of its own. Their scenes and characters aren't very common indramas. It's like a fluffy yet disturbing atmosphere since you don't know what Jack's thinking at all. Until now, we know almost nothing of him. But given what we've seen, I do agree that they should've just let them be supporting characters if they were gonna do them dirty and not include a decent subplot for them. That is why a large fraction of viewers are mad since they have a very large following despite appearing for only two minutes an episode.

They were done dirty in my opinion. They had so much potential and the writer wasted their characters. I remember giggling so hard after ep 17, their scene was too cute.

The plot wasn't perfect, but I also agree that they really raised the bar for this HIStory. I wish they could've done some things differently, but I'm still kinda happy they made this series.
