I've stuck w/it, but each episode seems like a repeat of the previous episode ('cept for a few things). Arf (I mean Arif) is the same in every drama I've seen him in. It seems all the dramas I was anxiously waiting to watch turned out to be duds.
I'm just on episode 1 and loving it. I think I've lost it (or my IQ has dipped) because this is the 3rd or 4th silly C rom-com I've watched, e.g. Su Yu. I think it's because C-drama rom-coms have always been rather poorly produced w/unlikeable characters. This one is another exception. I need the light heartedness after all the angst/misery I've suffered at the hands of the serious C=dramas.
Let me see if I got this right. 3 different people contributed to Mo Xin's poisoning, one being the emperor (abortion concoction). So she's out for revenge against the ones who killed her mother and poisoned herself, right? So sleeping w/the enemy (emperor) is a strategic maneuver. Which half of her is in charge of her body? I haven't learned anything about the sister to know what kind of person she was/is. I am confused & expect to become ever more confused before it's over.
This drama has been riveting from the 1st episode. An entire family (save one son) is slaughtered due to a fake decree. It ricochets from there to members of the royal family, A princess & the surviving son of the commanding general are in love but because they have to survive, their romance is not realized. I can find no fault except it gave me a headache from holding my breath so long.
I normally don't comment on Thai dramas, but with all the different emotions I went through watching this one...The casting couldn't have been better; the actors/actresses fit their roles perfectly. I hated Jai Rerng from the very beginning and only felt a trace of pity for her at the very end. She was a product of her upbringing; love to her was getting her way, getting money & designer clothes & cars. She didn't know how to love & respect others. Deep down I think that is why she wanted Pim as a friend. She saw in her something she could never be. That is why she was so jealous of her & always tried to hurt her.
I like Pong as an actor, but gosh, the roles he plays.
OK, thanks. But I am not going to reveal what my Interpretation was. I interpreted by syllables - hams up. I apologize & am so embarrassed that my thoughts veered in that direction.
When I watched this drama the first time I came away depressed, bitter & disappointed. Yes, the drama was brilliantly acted, filmed, produced, etc... but gosh, what can I say? I am so wary of dramas I've put on my "must watch" list. But I definitely will catch any newly released episodes/
I finished the drama & do not regret it at all. I gave it a 9 rating because of the story & the acting of the main leads. They are so versatile & so comfortable w/one another. The story tells of how a good, gentle person is constantly beat down. He fought hard to get where he was but because of the ambitions/greediness of others...It is really hard to believe that there are actually sincerely good people in this world - and no matter how others try to fit them into a mold they have an inner resiliency, allowing them to retain that special goodness. Of course, it helps to have someone silently helping you along.
I've watched through episode 30 & will stick w/it to the end. I like the interaction 'tween the leads. True, so far there is no passion, no heart-stopping moments, not even a slow burn...but life is like that sometimes. Being a good man, the ML sees everyone as good & so is very gullible. The FL is just the opposite - she sees people for who they are but still, she is also a good person. The FL is there to bail him (ML) out every time & so unknowingly, he begins to notice her. I think the ML's personality is so bland because he lost his Qing hair (like in Samson).
I don't have any good theories as far as who the accomplice is, a part of me believes we still haven't actually…
My mind is working overtime. The director's son - was there a clear answer on how he got in a coma? And he had blond hair - maybe the ML's wife was crushing on the guy in a coma & this "fugitive" stepped in to take his place? So maybe he really doesn't love her - not a killer maybe but a liar in the third degree.
I think he's not a psychopath, it's just what people think he is and what he's branded off as. His diagnosis tho…
I have worked w/children with mental disabilities for years and I have learned this: the DSM-V is the go-to manual for "naming" the disability. But it renders its diagnoses via charts/ surveys submitted by mental health professionals... who render their diagnoses via questionaires/surveys submitted by parents and teachers, etc. Consequently, there is a very big chance for misdiagnosis.
wow! I really like the theory of an organized crime going on. It does make sense and adds up to my own theory…
Did the victims have missing body parts? I don't know, but this little voice in my conscience keeps reminding me that things are not as they seem - that maybe, just maybe the whole family was accused wrongly?
As the drama goes on, the more I'm gearing towards a tragic ending. It will not be a happily-ever-after ending, not with his deception. I know she practically threw herself at him and despite his weird behavior & attempts to push her away, she persisted relentlessly. In the real world we call that clingy, rather like a middle-schooler with a crush on someone. To me she honed in on him until she got him - which makes her a good detective but which also makes her feelings towards him rather questionable.
