I never liked those wild carnival rides, only rode them when friends dared me to. I mention that only because…
OK, I'm no longer holding out hope for him to be innocent. He & his so-called parents are Creepy (with a capital C). Plus, I can't forget how he discussed his wife w/his parents - something to the effect that he's got her under control. How can you live w/someone & not notice that his expressions are so forced?
I never liked those wild carnival rides, only rode them when friends dared me to. I mention that only because I compare this drama to one of those "thrill rides." My hands are gripping the arms of my chair & my eyes are clenched shut (just opened enough to watch the drama). I sure hope the ML is innocent...
Gosh, I'm watching 2 refreshing dramas, Su Yu and The Heiress - and enjoying them both. I'm not a rom-com fan & usually avoid them. But I've been so disappointed lately with both K- and C-dramas. It seems like all the dramas repeat the same plot, have the same type of characters, and end on a sour note. Turkish dramas are my go-to dramas....but these types of dramas are slowly drawing me back. I'm getting so use to the FL as a man - wonder if I'll ever be able to accept her as a woman?
Being an avid Cdrama fan I've watched just about every type of drama under the sun. This one isn't an award winner, for sure, but it's delightful. Every actor/actress fits their character perfectly. If you can go into it with a simple heart, you will love it.
I could find a lot of things wrong if I were to pick this drama apart. Fortunately, I don't/won't pick it apart because I love everything about it. One word sums it up for me: adorable. Very few rom-coms have succeeded in keeping this smile plastered across my face. The acting is spot-on for their characters - the ML fits the role perfectly. The bodyguard who stands watch & throws his advice occasionally - what can I say? Again, it's just an adorable drama to watch.
I think everyone views chemistry differently and actually it's quite refreshing to see a relationship which is…
OK, I give....some. Your comment makes perfect sense. My problem is that while waiting for new episodes I revisited some really old dramas/movies. After watching Pride & Prejudice, I'm stuck with the ending scene: "Only call me Mrs. Darcy when you are utterly & completely incandescently happy." ML replies: "And how are you today...Mrs. Darcy?" (kiss on cheek) "Mrs. Darcy." (kiss on the other check) "Mrs. Darcy." (kiss again)
Thus, I'm looking for that electricity 'tween leads. Please forgive me for that.
OK, I'm enjoying the drama - it's good. But it's not one of those dramas where I sit biting my fingers waiting for the next episode. Everything is there for it to be popular; yet, it's lacking something. I haven't figured out what that is...the chemistry between leads is good but it's not "electric", if that makes sense. The atmosphere around them is too...placid?
OK, I've watched some really wonderful dramas (Royal Nirvana is a perfect example) that left me so disappointed. I find myself skeptical when I find one I like and this one, despite its great qualities, screams "Beware! Tragedy ahead!" Am I ready for this? Don't know, but I'd have to rate it a 10.
Li Qin is such a badass heroine - and they weren't able to find her an antagonist who's on the same acting level...???Staring…
I beg to disagree. Qi Ji looks & acts like an underhanded, sneaky bad guy. The worse people I've met are ones able to control their emotions & keep smiling while they slip that knife in your back. 'Course I'm a Qi Ji fan from way back.
The synopsis at the top says four men have an impact on the FL's colorful life. To me, everyone around has a colorful life "except" for the FL. She exhibits such a bland personality that I can't see where anything or anyone has made an impression on her (her acting, I'm sure). I'm thinking that if 4 men made an impact on her life, then she's suffering from an "impaction." In my neck of the woods, we call that constipation.
Truthfully, I'm rather tired of this unrequited love stuff, especially when it has to do with the purple-eyed, red-dot sister. I see a jealous gleam in her eye & I don't think it will turn out good. I'm trying to self-diagnose my addiction to these Cdramas w/miserable endings. I visit Psyche-Central on a daily basis, but it hasn't helped so far.
OK, he found the crystal, opened the coffin, saw himself & "himself" opened his eyes. And...the point of this? He will die? He will not die? I don't think I can stand watching it again just to find out what this means.
No one else has watched this? Watching on iQiyi & though the subs seem somewhat confusing, the drama is watchable. Of course, I'm only on episode 3. Who knows if I'll stick with it? Any input would be appreciated.
I finished the drama & I ended up really liking it. Beautiful people, beautiful costumes, & a really good-looking villain. Re-watch value to me is an 8.
I'm on ep 4 & haven't formed a strong opinion yet, but I'm going to give it a chance. Season 1 was just too dark for me plot-wise & like Royal Nirvana, it was a drama I had anticipated - only to be disappointed. So I'm hoping season 2 will be a nice surprise.
I continued the drama just because I hate dropping one midway. Would have made a very good drama if...it hadn't left me just as confused at the end as I was in the beginning. The c ast was very good except for the older bro's mustache.
Thus, I'm looking for that electricity 'tween leads. Please forgive me for that.
