It's cuz they keep adding a killer plot in the middle of it all. I don't know why they couldn't just stay with…
There are parts when we see mok-ha singing a whole song. But I'm not speaking about that. I'm speaking about the montage EP10 at 39:15, or the quite slow first part of EP09, or other slow scenes here or there, with angst, sad people staring and background song/music.

The father plot is essential. Then, it's your opinion.

The thematic of episode is about "answer vs risk". End of episode, she makes clear she want to take risk and doesn't…
Yes. It's longer episodes, and depending the episode, it's quite dense about content. It's easy to miss something. Myself, I'm surprised when someone finds a detail with importance, and I missed it.

I'm not even sure the writer promote something, but tells (hidden under the drama) some important life experience, that helped being a better person, able to love people. "the path for happyness".

She needs to shows the other side, as well, the difference of her wrong and right path. Because, like Mok Ha says in a line "failure is what create success". Means people having success had to make a lot of errors and get lesson and experience for finally reaching success.

Same about familly plot. How good is a familly, how bad is life without (ambition vs personnal life), then certainly, how even better it is to be with family.
And also, see what the writer knows from life, when Mok Ha tells what she feels when she saw her father dead. It's almost forgiveness, or at least understands the sad conditions of his life. For people keeping hatred and regrets in their heart, is it possible to find happyness?

If it were that, she wouldn't be in his home, bleeding from the noze, and writing each night Mok Ha songs and he wouldn't wait for her to decide!!!

Somehow this drama got so predictable and boring that I'm skipping scenes now. Especially about that psycho dad,…
Crazy, and you are skipping best scenes.
I don't know. Stop watch dramas? seems the best therapy.

Why are we promoting the message "Give up your family for fame" ?????Lmao y'all liking the reply simply insulting…
The thematic of episode is about "answer vs risk". End of episode, she makes clear she want to take risk and doesn't want to be separated from people anymore. So, after some time, no way for her to "give up family for fame".

Naw, I'm not reading more comments. I will have brain damage. Seriously, it's so sad, how many people can't understand…
Irony is when this kind of people say "I fast forwarded" or "I skiped scenes with X or Y" or "I played it x3" or "Watched it while writing -something else-".
Then the same people saying:
"full of plot hole, I don't understand anything, it doesn't make sens. Lazy writer."
Even more crazy when they do that with a complicated but awesome drama, missing everything and DARE to say the writer with 200 hours screentime experience can't write and has no logic.
...When these people didn't create a single simple thing of their own life.

It doesn't drag because of the father plot. Excellent scenes with conflict.
It drags because of a slow montage scene of 7 minutes with a song, for example.

can someone explain to me why ranjoo and that abusive manager are together, he wasn't there when he needed her,…
They know each other since more than 15 years. Producer and Diva.
They made their own company and were lovers. See how intimates they are.
At one point (we don't know when), they break up about love relationship.

A previous episode, she was ready to go back to him, almost kissing him.
But he betrays her about the records sales.
Now she doesn't want the records sales anymore, and see:
He want to go back with her (just, she doesn't want it now).

If you just say this man is abusive, you have half of the story. She's also an abusive diva.
And he's an excellent producer, doesn't make decisions out of nothing.
They are an old couple, so anyway, know each other well, and can't spare so easely.

Just to tickle you: Chae Jong Hyeop did 5 main roles before. ;-)
Main role in a Park Hye Ryun's drama is really like reaching the stars. ;-)

The lake (or pond), said in a flashback ep8. A family disappeared 20 years ago. Ki Ho family took their names.…
I'll just watch the drama to the end. Then, think about that. But it's not really the kind of thing I criticize, and not at this point of the story. I start first to understand the writer choices.

Just an example, after Ki Ho plan fails (because his father is clever and guess it's a trap), we have a scene with face to face shots, when in real, the two characters are not in the same time. And this scene is very powerful. So, I keep that because it's what has to most impact on screen, and consider the screenwriter did something better than anything I could imagine.

Now, I can't answer more to you. This thread is for everyone to give their opinion. So, keep giving yours, but I have nothing more to say, as you focus on points that are irrevelants to me, without knowing what's coming next in the drama.

PS: as a joke full of irony: I was thinking the old woman was Ran Joo inner voice. But ok, I take easely it's a real person, Ran Joo mother, but what's great, thinking she's Ran Joo (because brain disease).

This makes no sens. For weeks, a few people are angry, saying Ki Ho mystery "who's who" is painful. (what I don't agree). And now you say when it's not a mystery, it's also painful. Or anti-climatic or I don't know what. First it wasn't really a mystery. As soon as we see this pond, we have the feeling there are corpses into it. And a voice-over even talk about "lies that could destroy the family".

Yeah ok, rewrite the script and show me that. As you know better than the creator of the character what is out of character...

But the dad already knows he follows the right person. He even says it to Mok Ha! The dad is sure that Mok Ha is in contact with Ki Ho. So Ki Ho have to find at least something saying he's far away from her.

Ki Ho makes smart choices: he uses the two guys from the resto on the island. Because he knows they are snitchers. So, his plan was to feed them with fake info, knowing they would say it to his father. And he even asked them "don't say it to my father", knowing they would do.

Until ep8, I'm sure the script says: stares intensely to avoid melting down, expressioneless but burning inside, feels but have to hide it, insistant glare but beating heart, can't show his emotion but on the verge of it, etc etc... LOL.

I didn't watched extraordinary attorney woo, SO, I can just relate that her acting is believable, and even excellent, in the role of Mok Ha.
