I'm on first episode and kind of confusedWindows of Heaven? Four Seasons Manor? Are those names of place or
Window of Heaven is the name of the Secret Service/ assassin organization that works for the royalty, in particular Prince Jin. Zhou ZiShu was the leader of this group. Four seasons Manor was the name of the martial arts sect that Zhou ZiShu belonged to before he started working for Window of Heaven. He was a disciple of this sect. Usually masters and disciples of the sects become very much like family to each other.
No worries. Lot of people misunderstand because of her pseudonym. And I agree she writes pretty good characters and I love the way she writes the progression of relationships.
Depends on your taste. I liked the politics aspect of it but tbh I didnt feel the romance. It is well written…
The political parts are somewhat important here as they show how ChangGeng's character is changing. He schemes and manipulates to gain power to protect his country and bring peace just so GuYun can retire from the military and go live peacefully.
Guys, I think this casting rumor of Neo playing XieLian might be true. I was reading some old comments from a month back and someone had posted about this casting rumor back then. The original poster said they read about it on weibo and someone from the production team was the source. I guess they had shortlisted Neo then, they must be sure about him now.
Casting rumors.....no official word yet.https://twitter.com/dramapotatoe/status/1372881993491353600The producer…
So if this is true....are they Xie Lian, Hua Cheng and Jun Wu? I can see Ding Chengxin as Xie Lian and Liu Xueyi as Jun Wu. Not too convinced with Neo Hou as HuaCheng. Lets see.
The producer for the adaptation of #HeavenOfficialsBlessing (#TianGuanCiFu) is noticed to have followed Ding Chengxin, Hou Minghao, & Liu Xueyi on Weibo as casting rumors rise up again.
OK so... After seing the trailer I can say that I'm really excited for the main couple (the prince of the company…
Its seems more than just creepy. From the trailer it looks like the stalker attacks people who are close to his brother. From what I saw the main couple both got attacked/beat up by him. Looks like Taiwan bls are getting influenced by Thai bls in trying to normalize toxic relationships.
This will most likely get completely toned down. The end result might be nothing like the book. As 90% of the book has stuff that will never ever get through the censors. I'll still check it out when it comes out just to see how Steven portrays my boy Fei Du.
This is the first time watching a drama that I feel that 40min+ is very short. I haven't seen any scene that seems…
And to think this series was expected to be the biggest flop out of all 2021 bls. It got highest votes for that on douban or something. I admit I was least interested to watch it when it started because of its Wuxia heavy storyline. But I saw some fan videos on YT and got sucked into it because of the crackling chemistry of the main leads. 12 episodes in, I'm sure this was truly a labor of love. Everything from the writing, acting and the directing feels completely in sync, just like that duel/dance ZZS and WKX did in ep02, with pink petals from the peach blossom trees raining down on them.
Prince Jin mentioned in ep. 7 that Bei Yuan/Lord Seventh is gone and that the shaman, Yun Xing/ Wu Xi left. Chances…
I spoiled myself and read the chapter titled Lord Seventh in TYK. In that QiYe gets news from someone of ZZS and plans to go look for him with WuXi. I think QiYe knows what condition ZZS is in and was looking for him to heal him from the start.
Priest wrote another novel regarding lord seventh and wu xi ( I did not read the book yet) So he was t he main…
His first lifetime, actually. His other times were as animals, flowers, etc. ZZS was the one who killed QiYe in his first lifetime. But the reason QiYe respects him and appreciates him is ZZS as a goodwill gesture warned QiYe and gave him a chance to leave and save himself. But at that time QiYe was too obsessed with his prince and couldn't let go. After living through so many lifetimes of dying at his loved ones hands QiYe came to realise that ZZS had tried to save him from that fate. That's why he always treated him as his friend...and went to great lengths to find him and save him.His last lifetime to change his fate is with WuXi. (QiYe had seven lifetimes fated to be with the prince)
Actually the book version of XuLingYi was perfect fit for Wallace. This tampered series version does not fit Wallace at all. Any idol actor could have handled this version.
Drama has changed about 90% of the stuff from the book. Only the main leads, their names and backgrounds are similar,…
I have the same problem with chinese dramas adaptations. I don't get why they buy rights to the novel and then go and change everything about the novel that the readers loved in the first place. When they announce adaptations and if they have good actors I search out those books and even read them on Google translate if they haven'tbeen translated. After I fall in love with the novels story and characters my excitement increases for the drama. Bur when the drama airs, I see that everything is changed my interest drops with every stupid and unnecessary change. I dropped many recent dramas because of this.
Priest wrote another novel regarding lord seventh and wu xi ( I did not read the book yet) So he was t he main…
QiYe was actually fated to end up with the prince he supported. He had been in love with him for ages. But the Princes favourite concubine was killed and QiYe was blamed. QiYe was killed by the man he loved. This happened for six lifetimes....each lifetime worse than the first. Worst part was he had memories of each and every lifetime. At the beginning of the novel QiYe is granted one more chance, a last lifetime.. to find his fated one again..Which is against the rules of heaven. This was possible because of the head boss of the reapers. The head reaper was responsible for QiYe's misfortunes in the first lifetime...which then had the butterfly effect in his other lifetimes. Because the head reaper took away the wrong soul of the princes favourite concubine, it changed the fate of QiYe. To grant QiYe this last chance lifetime, head reaper gave up his powers and his immortality and became a mortal as a penance. This head reaper who destroyed QiYe's fate with his beloved came back as WuXi.It's heartbreaking and romantic at the same time, right?

WuXi was successor in training to the neighbouring tribe. He would become the chief shaman of the tribe. But because of infighting between his brothers he's sent to QiYe's country as a hostage when he was a teen. He knows all sorts of witchcraft and poisons. He has poisonous animals and plants all over his house. He has his own dark guards and spies. At first QiYe was just being nice to him to use him as an escape route after all his schemes were done and the prince he supported became the king. But after years of living as next door neighbours, and during his lessons in politics and stuff, WuXi fell for him completely. WuXi realized QiYe never showed his actual emotions or feelings in front of others only him. So he planned to elope with QiYe, take him away from all the political machinations and scheming, before the war began. But QiYe, to protect him, drugged him and slept with him as an apology and sent him back to his country. When he woke up, WuXi got so mad at him. After he took over his tribe he came back and kidnapped QiYe, faked his death and took him back to his own country. If you have read Priest before you know she writes one lead staightlaced and upright and the other mischievous and flirty. QiYe is the mischievous one in this but WuXi completely straightforward in his thoughts and actions is the more possessive and jealous one. Once he realized his feelings for QiYe, there was no question of letting him go.There is another twist to this couple at the end. It revealed who actually WuXi was and why he was so protective of QiYe.

Yes Lord Seventh(Qi Ye) is also a bl novel by Priest. Lord seventh is really a cool and smart character...more of strategist than a fighter. He really appreciated ZZS and his skills. He was the only person who saw through ZZS's disguises and would recognise him always. ZZS little bro died during the war between the princes and because of guilt ZZS wanted to leave everything. Lord seventh had wanted to help him but he left already. So Lord Seventh had been looking for him. The little bro was a really good person, kind and sincere... completely loyal to ZZS. He got involved in the war because of some schemes of Lord Seventh. Qi Ye(Lord Seventh) also feels a bit guilty for ZZS brother, I feel. I haven't read Tian Ya Ke yet. I was going to read in sequence QiYe first then this.
