Person Darren Wang
It seems liQin told in an interview that she felt uncomfortable kissing darren because of his big lips. Is it…
The way I see it.
She is the one with the teeny-tiny-macroscopic lips...
Hahaha

Darren Wang’s voluptuous lips should be put on display at Madame Tussauds museums.

My heart is towards Bo Wang. A lot of his actions are being misinterpreted by viewers. People cannot accept his…
I would gladly wiggle inside of that can of worms with you.

I, for one, thought Darren Wang’s performance was undeniably stunning.
There were a multitude of intricate facets to the Chu You Wen/Lord Bo character.
Darren Wang knocked it out of the park.
Without saying many words; his pain, his cruelty, his aggressiveness, his viciousness and his profound love resonated and emitted throughout and from his entire person.
And that is an extraordinary feat for an actor to accomplish; while, wearing a perpetual impenetrable stoic face.
It felt if I had blinked just once, I would have missed something...

I do agree that the Ji Chong character could have been played by anyone. His presence didn’t really affect the substance of the drama.

I have to be very careful not to be extremely biased here because Yeo Gin Goo, Kim Yoo-jung and Nam Da-reum were and are my 3 favorite Korean kid-actors and actress.
So anything these 3 are in, I tend to loose all my objectivity.
With that in mind, I think none could have played the character of King Lee Hoon and Ha Sun as perfect as Yeo Gin Goo did.
I have seen the original movie, Masquerade with Lee Byung-hun. As expected, it was great; Yeo Gin Goo most certainly did the original movie version justice.

Yes, that's why my heart is always for Bo Wang; I feel him.
The complexity of his character was beautifully written.
And Darren Wang certainly did it justice.

Darren Wang just blew my mind... and other things...
This actor has virility to sale... to share... to donate...;)
To say that he was ON FIRE in The Wolf; does not quite describe completely the depiction of the Chu You Wen/Lord Bo character.

I have some complexed emotions about this drama.
It is not the greatest drama.
Some episodes had questionable directions and bizarre writing; however good grief, it was damn good.
The characters’ complexities were enticing.
The musical selections were on point.

And Darren Wang just blew my mind... and other things...

Let us take a moment to acknowledge that the best ancient Chinese man hairstyle of 2020...
Goes to Lord Bo.

So actually the acting is very good and also the music is fabulous BUT the story is just so boring :/
I loved every piece of music from that drama.
They really did a great job with the musical selections.

Absolutely love this drama however I am increasingly disliking the FL she is so immature, annoying and makes so…
Strangely, for a Wuxia drama titled with his name on it; I don’t think that Darren Wang got enough screen-times in it.
However, the fewer numbers of the screen-time he got... He took them and ran the hell of with them...

He is definitely one of my new and few discoveries of 2020.
And definitely, a new favorite of mine.

Too bad, it took them 3 years to release it. The other 2 leads got so much more popular during that long wait.
I wonder if it was intentionally done that way?

Title The Wolf
For some unknown reasons, although not the best montage, this drama... this storyline... Bo’s storyline (more specifically)...
Hurts me to the core.

I understand that they can not be together and I actually do not want them to be together.
ZX got her first kiss or smooch from another man...
She got married to another man...
Her first sleep together was with another man...
In Wuxia and Xianxia dramas, these are decisive lines that I want only the male love interest to cross. Once they have been crossed by another man, I am no longer interested in that female lead.

However, it hurts so damn much to watch Bo.
More so, because he has to keep everything and I mean EVERYTHING deep down inside.
Therefore, he has to wear a perpetual and an impenetrable stoic face.

Yeah, I'm afraid. Too many factions here.
Why the name-calling?
This kid was literally perfect for the role.

Yeah, some viewers can be such drama-queens sometimes...
It’s fun to read their childish views.

Yeah, I'm afraid. Too many factions here.
Check out Wolf (2020).
After 3 years of a long waiting, it is finally released.

The CGIs are to be desired but the storyline and the general acting are stunning.

I swear sometimes, it seems some specific roles and characters were specifically written for a specific actor or actress...
We witnessed that with:
- Hu Ge in Nirvana In Fire 1
- Arthur Chen in Ever Nigh 1
- Cheng Yi in Love and Redemption
- Yoo Ah-in in Six Flying Dragons
- And now, with Darren Wang in Wolf (2020)

Yeah, I'm afraid. Too many factions here.
Zhao Yiling’s eyes expressions convey too much maturity; which doesn’t synch well with the younger character she is portraying.
I don’t think that role (ZF) was right for her.

Actually, my main issue with this production is why Zhao Yiling only has ONE facial expression for every single scene?
She is a better actress than that... at least, she used too.

In the when ZF came down the mountain it's 3 years later so she is 16-17. In the show they made that half year…
I don’t think Zhao Yiling can play teenager roles anymore.
Her eyes convey too much maturity.
I don’t think that role (ZF) was right for her.

Yeah, I'm afraid. Too many factions here.
I am on episode 8 but I am having a really hard time watching it.
I like the 2 main leads (in other projects); however in this drama, they both feel so unpolished.
It’s bizarre.

Title Love Is Sweet Spoiler
If you think about it from a psychological view, someone who has never felt he's received real love from his parents…
Hmmmmm...
I thought about it.
Are you saying that all unfortunate orphans and unwanted adoptees who did not receive love throughout their upbringings are also psychologically and emotionally impaired, as well?

Hmmmmm...
I don’t agree with you.
We are more resilient and more adaptable than we give ourselves credits for... It is a matter of letting or of not letting our inner demons in control of our actions.

These futile extra episodes were a complete let-down by the writer and the director.

Leo’s current physique exudes many attributes, for sure...
However, innocence is definitely not one of them;)

I’ve been a fan of the manhua for so long, and have been waiting for this drama for years, but I’m disappointed…
You must have not checked Leo Wu’s recent projects at all...
This kid sprouted out like a giant beanstalk in the last couple of years.
He is around 6 feet tall now and still growing taller.
Earlier this year, in one of his last projects - Guardians of the Ancient Oath, although the released drama was just average; Leo Wu’s physical transformations did not go unnoticed. His lean-muscular features and tall stature are no jokes.
He sure does not look innocent anymore.

As for Dilraba Dilmurat, she is well equipped with features that can portray a wide range of roles. Young and weak or mature and strong.
I, for once, approve of the casting for these 2 leading actor and actress.
And I am actually very intrigued to see how that “Ancient Chinese Noona Romance” is going to play out...
