I am about to finish chapter 97.
For me, this novel is an utterly jouissance.
Even if I get disappointed with the coming televised version, I can always fall back on the novel.

I DO NOT HATE Cheng Xiao. I did not like her past-acting project; however, no sane person should hate an actress nor an idol because of bad acting.

Well yes, it is true. There were dramas with the post-release of Legend of Awakening and there are dramas with the pre-release of this current one. These do not imply that Cheng Xiao is the drama but there are dramas and rumors around the 2 productions.

I certainly can’t judge her on her acting because I have not watched her in this current drama.
I do hope that she had improved from Legend of Awakening.
And those same wishes also go for Arthur Chen; although, I loved the kid in Ever Night season 1, I also found his performance mediocre in Legend of Awakening.

Fyi: I am extremely excited to watch this one because I want to see if it can surpass Cross Fire; which, I think that is the best e-sport modern drama so far.

That slowwitted husky is really SPECIAL and not the good kinds of special.
His brain only works one straight line.
- You give him a bowl of wontons... He loves you for a lifetime and more.

PS: I think; there are more to Shi Mei’s death than that meets the eyes. For some reason, that Shi Mei’s character gives me the creeps.

PS: I think that I might like 6 years old version of Chu Wanning better than his adult version.
Also Mo Ran wears his name well; he is a complete moron.

The first time that I saw him was in The Princess Weiyoung.
He was depicted as a vile, vicious and insufferable villain.

Jin Han has that uncanny ability at portraying both protagonist and antagonist characters.
I always get goosebumps by his portrayals.
He is able to convey complex emotions from both sides of the spectrum. I hate him with rage when he plays the villain...
And I go head-over-heels-gaga for him when he plays the good guy...
His ability at adapting to all sorts of characters is far beyond than most seasoned actors out there.

I more attracted to actors and actresses who have multiple layers and facets in their acting skills.

For me, I wanted a mixture of the two versions. I liked the romance from the Chinese version; however, I liked the seriousness from the Korean version.

As for the leading actors and actresses, the only actress that I was not familiar with was the Chinese FL one. Nerveless, I really enjoyed the Commedia dell'arte side of her acting.

Well, the FL character was never depicted as the more literate one, neither in the Korean version or in the Chinese version.
Her character was supposed to have a lot of bravado but she was never really a scholar, per se.

When it comes to Asian entertainments; I try not to get myself too invested in their lack of feminism.
If I do, I would pretty much stop watching... all together.
