Jin Han was way too old for this role (and too tall imo). He was the wrong choice for this role. He looked like…
Hmmmmm... I beg to differ. For me, the age gap and appearance were much more appropriate to look at. Although I like both versions, in the Korean version, some of the romantic scenes felt so uncomfortable to watch mostly due to the fact that Lee Jong Suk has a more juvenile-baby-face about him. I never had those feelings of inappropriateness with Jin Han. I thought that Jin Han pulled it off marvelously. I was completely invested in his performance and delivery.
What I found slightly off was the female lead. The FL from the Korean version delivered a better performance.
*On a side note, I have to ask because I find that physical description of Jin Han very amusing:)... Is there such a thing as “A Too Tall Man?” For the rest of us, the taller... the better...
Agree.based of appearance ,Arthur and Leo are the best choice specially Leo with his sword shape eyebrows .I really…
I really doubt that there will be any explicit scenes whatsoever in the drama. We have to remember that Arthur is only 20 years old and Leo is in his 30s. There is no existing universe where the Chinese entertainment industry would let these 2 embrace.
I am just hoping for a good flowing storyline with good acting. As for the juicy parts, I will just immerse myself into the original novel.

I finished chapter 43 late last night and I cannot wait to go back to it, later tonight.
I have that impulsive question; which I need to ask: The crazed teenager with the bloody face, stomping on the clementines some chapters back, was also a version of Mo Ran... was it not?

No, I have yet finished the complete novel. I am in chapter 30 and I am enjoying it way too much... I can’t seem to put it down, not even for 1 minute. It is really good!
How they were able to depict that storyline into a televised drama, water-down or not? It is exciting for me to see...
i remember you, you're the notorious cheng xiao hater hahaha
Wow. This is an awful long litany for me to read!
Let me make myself clear so hopefully that will appease your insinuations and belligerences. I DO NOT HATE Cheng Xiao. I did not like her past-acting project; however, no sane person should hate an actress nor an idol because of bad acting. That would be just ludicrous.
"Whenever Cheng Xiao is in a drama, there is always all sorts of drama..." Well yes, it is true. There were dramas with the post-release of Legend of Awakening and there are dramas with the pre-release of this current one. These do not imply that Cheng Xiao is the drama but there are dramas and rumors around the 2 productions.
I certainly can’t judge her on her acting because I have not watched her in this current drama. I do hope that she had improved from Legend of Awakening. And those same wishes also go for Arthur Chen; although, I loved the kid in Ever Night season 1, I also found his performance mediocre in Legend of Awakening.
Fyi: I am extremely excited to watch this one because I want to see if it can surpass Cross Fire; which, I think that is the best e-sport modern drama so far.
Just the same tired, pointless, noisy post over and over just like the ones in the Legend of Awakening page. I…
You took the question out of my mouth! For you to find a comment, such as: “Dramas seem to follow her, directly or indirectly.” Hateful? You must have one majorly screw-up mind.
Your pitiful comment makes me also wonder about how pathetic and how low you are... You are quite the diligent hater to follow my comments from one drama to another drama. Looking at the vile selection of words you used, the instigator of hate is clearly you.

Seriously... Reading the novel and picturing the scenes in my head... Leo and Arthur are the perfect fits for Chu Wanning and Mo Ran. They could have not selected 2 better actors for these 2 characters!
Sometimes, I get mad at Shizun for being so disinvolve - with everything. And sometimes, I get mad at Mo Ran for being a moron - even though technically, he is 32 years old.
Whenever Cheng Xiao is in a drama, there is always all sorts of drama... Poor Xuxu! Was it a smart decision for him to accept to play this role? Now, I don’t know.
One thing that I have to say; I LOVE Yu Zheng‘s reactions to all of the rumors. This is how K’s producers should have reacted against the vicious rumors about him during the filming of I-Land...
This novel is so so so funny. I can not stop laughing at Mo Ran’s idiotic banters. I was worrying about Arthur portraying Mo Ran at first... However while reading the novel, it is clear that they made the right decision by selecting AC for the role. This kid is PERFECT for that role! I can already picture AC doing all these devious shenanigans.
As for the romantic/bromance parts... Well, we will see... Fingers crossed.

I thought that I had deciphered his identity before the full story.
Darn! :(

Haters calling other commenters haters because their views differ from the mass.
Interesting!
Hahaha

I am not judging her; I am just stating the reality. Also yes, you are right about this modern drama; it is not her fault this time.
And the dramas around it.
I was so hoping for a smooth release.

That actress just loves strong colored lipstick...
It can not be helped because Xuxu is simply is!
Even when they tried to uglify him like in the Dance of the Sky Empire:)
Fingers crossed, indeed!
In blue!
And finally, they gave him a beautiful flowing wig to wear.
It is a water-down bromance with romantic innuendos; like they did for The Untamed and Guardian.
I can not stop laughing at Mo Ran’s idiotic banters.

We don’t get to experience these kind of male lead’s characters very often in DramaLand.
