I'm on ep. 36 now and I'm glad I continued watching again because I remember now why I ended up liking the drama as much as I did. I also realize my feelings regarding the second half of the drama being "dark" are inaccurate. The love between the leads was endearing and adorable and my favorite part about it is that they don't break up (at least not so far...and I sincerely doubt anything will be able to come between them by the end).

The second half of the drama does have some big issues which occur and the antagonists pull some really ugly moves but the drama otherwise became MORE cute and sweet and fun in ways as well, to balance things out so we're not completely overwhelmed with the heavy topics the drama delves into. I was also wrong about feeling like the protagonists chased their tails while the antagonists ran wild. I'm SO GLAD I was wrong about that too.

I rated this highly after my first time watching for a reason and I can confidently say, after properly watching this again, that I understand why I did back then and once again think very highly of the drama now.

I still remember not being satisfied how that Xiao Ai (or whatever her name is - the female antagonist) was handled though. I seem to remember them trying to play it off like she was a victim too and only became the way she did after her own bad experiences. However, based on what I've seen so far I'd have 2 issues with that, if it were the case - 1) she was willingly in a relationship with that predator dude just to advance her career so I don't see how that can be construed as sexual harassment (she's basically a typical opportunist with no morals, the cliche female who's willing to sleep around to advance her career instead of having the actual skills or doing the actual work to earn things the right way; all she does is do nasty shit to get ahead...same for that antagonist team captain); and 2) victims willing to make others become victims as well, especially when done for no reason other than their own personal gain, disgust me. I feel no pity for someone like her.

Let's see if that impression I've held in my mind about her character will also change by the end of this though.

The female antagonist in this drama is the definition of a bad person. She has a clear understanding of right and wrong but constantly chooses to do VERY bad things to others just to get what she wants, and feels no shame in doing so. She's not someone who was backed into a corner. No, she simply is a really ugly human being. So many of the bad things that happened in the second half of the drama were all caused by here. She both lights the fire and adds the fuel. Yet, they have the gall to try to get us to pity her by the end?

It's been years since I first watched this and I'm finally watching it again now. I tried a few months back but stopped as soon as I got to ep 20 when the went to the winter training because I remembered that's when the drama just started getting really dark.

This time I've made it to ep 23 and I'm finding that I'm starting to struggle to push through what's coming all over again. In my mind, the second half of the drama just became way too melodramatic. It wasn't fun and cute and sweet anymore. The bad scenarios were drawn out for too long and built up too much. There was too much of the antagonists getting away with stuff while protagonists chased their own tails before things got resolved.

That's how I remember it though. I hate that there are still so many more episodes to go which means there's so much still to play out. But, hopefully, by watching it again this time the second half of the drama won't turn out to be as bad as I recall.

Could you let me know what the issue is with the ending? I keep seeing people say it's an open ending. Do our leads not end up together or something? I'd rather know what to expect before I get started.

Someone else mentioned that this had an open ending. In what aspect was it open, do you recall?

I know this is just a personal preference and a really random thing to say, but every time I see this FL actress, I have this unfailing urge to see her get lip fillers. LOL!

Thankfully it seems like they make her a lot less annoying during the second half of the drama.

For those questioning whether or not to watch this I do highly recommend it if you're in the mood for something light and fluffy and quick.

I've watched this twice now and have two completely different opinions about the drama...or, more specifically, the FL.

FIRST WATCH: The only comments I made for myself about this are - "LOVED IT! The ML was freaking GORGEOUS in this role (not sure if he finally got his nose done or not but I'm not complaining either way)! This was a nice, light filler."

SECOND WATCH: See my comments below. But be forewarned, there are A LOT of spoilers.

I'm posting this here because I'd hate for people to miss out on something they could really enjoy, because I did enjoy it myself as well. Even this second time around it's been decent, especially when the leads start getting closer to one another.

However, I feel like all the comments I've seen everywhere keep making it seem like the FL is unanimously endearing, adorable and lovable. Yet, what I've found my second time watching this is she makes my VERY FRUSTRATED throughout the first half of the movie! So, I feel bad not forewarning others that she may be too much for them to accept. Just keep in mind that they make her less annoying during the second half, so you're able to focus more on the story and the romance between the leads than any frustration you may feel towards her.

Could you explain why it's not a happy ending for the ML? Don't want to start this only to end up being disappointed in the end, especially when there's an extremely bothersome SML in the mix for the duration of the drama.

But THEN! The DUMBASS FL strikes again!

WHY would she show up at the party looking like a damn hobo? Did she seriously think she should show up there without putting any effort whatsoever into her appearance, when she knew for a fact that everyone would be dressed up? In fact, the way she showed up was actually rather rude! It's like she didn't care enough to get dressed up! No lie, I'd have asked her ass to leave or come back wearing something more appropriate.

Just as I was thinking she's back to being not so bad (like the first time I watched this), she pulls this shit. Her behavior is so tacky too. But I can even tolerate that. However, not dressing up for a party where you knew ahead of time everyone would be dressed up for was pure trash.

This got VERY, very sweet and adorable when the two leads started getting closer to one another. I had a mile-wide, perma-grin on my face while watching them.

I guess I'm a bit atypical because I wouldn't give a damn that the father of that asshole on the motorbike turned out to be my professor. LOL!

That girl flat out told the SFL that the ML likes her. That she's CERTAIN he likes her. When did he ever tell her that he likes the SFL? What is that certainty based on?

Even if he did tell her himself that he did like the FL who is she to be telling the SFL about HIS feelings? WTF is WRONG with this girl?!?! She's sure to tell everyone that she and the ML aren't close yet she feels justified in telling someone else about his feelings for them?!

What the hell am I watching? WHY did I like this the first time? What the hell was wrong with me?

The FL's super-MEDDLESOME personality is EXTREMELY off-putting! My GOD! She interfered in the ML's life in high school for 100% selfish reasons, without even knowing a damn thing about the ML or the SFL. Then, in college, she STILL hasn't learned her lesson and continues to meddle in their shit! Like seriously, you didn't feel guilty enough about the situation you created in the first place so you continue to meddle some more in something that has absolutely NOTHING to do with you AND about which you know absolutely NO first hand details about? WTF?! She literally only got second hand, unverified information and decided she understood everything that happened between them based on that alone. *smh*

How in hell did I like this before?!?!

The only thing I can think of is that it must get better. However, the whole story so far seems to be built on the FL's meddling in other people's lives. People who she KNOWS she's not even close to.

I'm seriously beginning to question my sanity the first time I watched and rated this.

LOL! I have to say - it's funny how our moods affect our viewing experience.

I started this earlier today but had to step away for a few hours before coming back to it. As soon as I did - I'm at the scene where the leads first run into the SFL on campus - the FL's overly friendly, abnormally bubbly, completely gullible and dense/clueless personality started irking the heck out of me! When I first started watching a few hours ago she was annoying but didn't irritate me even slightly as much as she is now. That's how I realized I must be in a bad mood now. LOL!

EDIT: Bear in mind that this is my second time watching this and my first time around I gave this a really high rating so I doubt the FL irritated me as much when I watched it before.

I'm watching this again now and what kind of idiotic female becomes attracted to someone who, only 30 secs after meeting them, says they look forward to stealing them away from their childhood sweetheart as it would make it even more satisfying. He's LITERALLY saying you're nothing more than a conquest. Yet she's flattered?! I gave this a high rating the first time I watched because it was a nice, light, fluffy, quick watch. I, of course, never rooted for the SML, as expected, but I was even more put off by him after that comment.

One thing's for sure, at least he's honest. It's not his fault these college freshmen are straight up DUMB and gullible.

Ep 1 - in the end they never do it.
Ep 2 - in the end they never do it.
Ep 3 - I already know they had their very first kiss at the end of the movie so I expect, yet again, they never do it in their episode either.

WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT OF THESE EPISODES?!?! It's not cute and it's not funny. It's just DUMB.

Ep 4 - here we go again! He's making this huge deal about finally going into her room but from the movie we know he doesn't see her room for the first time until the very end of the movie!

In the end. We watch all 4 episodes and they accomplish NOTHING. What. Was. The. Point.

Ep 1 - Calling one another by their first names.
Ep 2 - Holding hands
Ep 3 - First kiss

I'm not even sure I can get through ep 3 to make it to ep 4. It's all so pointless and ridiculous! If you've watched the movie you'll already know why.

Ep 4 - First sleepover

The cookies she makes for the ML in this are actually important in the movie too but they don't ever show that she made him any in the movie. Instead the SML shows off to the ML that he received cookies she baked for him during cooking class at school (which, of course, really bothers the ML). It was obvious from the little bag she gave the SML though that she only gave him a small portion, so you expected to see later on that the ML received his own batch of cookies from her himself too (as in, the majority of what she baked) but they never showed her give him any in the movie.

Now, here, in the first episode those same cookies are what she invites him over to give him as a way to make him feel more at ease to start calling her by her first name.

The significance of the cookies would be completely lost had I need seen the movie.
