Linkin Park is a hardcore fav of mine too. Like majorly so. Enrique Iglesias did put out some seriously music back then too but wow I haven't thought about him in years.

I'm like 7 mins into this and that stopped me dead in my tracks. 1 min 35 sec would have been bad enough but at least believable. I really hope this was just an inaccurate translation because it would have taken the writers all of 30 secs to look up what an average 100m freestyle time might be or maybe search for a provincial champion's time or something, if they weren't sure. *smh*

I actually thought it weird that kpop was in large part a lot of oversized groups with a really large number of members. I thought it was odd. Like I was never into Nsync (I liked them but wasn't a part of their fandom or anything - now Justin Timberlake? I just love that man) or Backstreet Boys back in the day and when I first came across a few Kpop groups my first thought was - why are their groups so dang large and why are there so many of them? I couldn't really understand how what we used to call boy bands (guy groups who could sing and dance and all that) was really still a thing . Then I saw BTS perform...and they shut me up. That was years and years ago and I'm still a die hard fan to this day.

Branching out into Blackpink and Taeyang is actually relatively new for me. I knew of them but had never even watched one of their videos. After all this time I still really don't know of many other kpop groups and even when I've tried to get into others, I might like a song or performance but I hadn't actually started following them or anything. Until I saw Lisa and Jisoo's videos and became an instafan. Same for Taeyang. But I only actually follow BTS. They're an entirely different story. I love every single one of those men and my old ass has a closet full of memorabilia and gear. LOL!

So I totally get where you're coming from and really am not giving you a hard time.

Believe it or not neither am I. I literally only found out about BTS a few years ago when I was still playing the Sims 4 and kept seeing mods being created for the game that were all BTS themed everywhere. I finally looked them up and have followed them since. Don't follow anyone else really (except maybe Blackpink, oh and Taeyang who I only checked out because kpop stars all idolize him so much, so I had to check him out too). In fact I technically don't 'follow' them either. Oh and I know groups like Astro and Exo and such because of dramas their members were in.

At one point they shipped Tae and Jimin. Some still do. I couldn't care less as long as I get to continue seeing all of their beautiful selves and get to enjoy their amazing music and crazy antics for a long, long time.

OMG that literally hurt. I know I'm being completely illogical but I can't believe there's someone who doesn't know my TaeTae's real name! The agonyyyy! LOL! I'm laughing but I literally grunted when I read that. Clearly I have issues. Love me some Kim Taehyung!

I'm on ep 24 and I must say I've been waiting all this time for Gao Leng to grow on me but I just keep liking him less and less.

I hate with c-dramas write in that bs with letting an antagonist slide just because there was a reason for them behaving the way they did. The female team member didn't have to choose the route she took, not when her actual managers were so approachable and supportive. Gao Leng may believe the only thing she did wrong was try to take credit for other people's work but he was out of line for trying to make the FL seem like she was a bad leader for how the way things turned out for that team member. That was an asshole thing to say on his part. Would the FL have been a good leader to the other team members if she allowed that to happen? What an asshole. He should have given the FL the benefit of the doubt since she's been nothing but good to every one of them all along. Yes the female team member had done good work and worked hard in the past but had she asked for the credit she actually deserved does anyone really think the FL wouldn't have given it to her?

I hate, hate, hate when c-dramas do this shit. It always takes away from the dramas in a big way for me. The fact that they used Gao Leng to do it too was a bad choice because his character is already enough of a turnoff imo.

Yeah, I'm totally with you on this. It's like we're watching two entirely different dramas. I'm only on ep 24 but I can't think of a single kiss that didn't fit or was lifeless (compared to the usual kiss scenes we typically get in C-dramas). But after reading that person's other comments it makes sense. They won't like anything that actor does so it's not worth commenting on.

Huh? Ruining other actors? Are you referring to me or to that other person? I just said I was neutral but seriously doubted I would NOT enjoy his steamy scenes (meaning I had high expectations and so far I haven't been disappointed). So if anything I'm leaning more towards liking him. There's nothing I DISlike about him.

If you were referring to me I'm sure you didn't read what I said properly or maybe you were already on the defensive. I wasn't even attacking. I was just trying to remind you that not everyone likes the same things so don't let what that person said get to you.

But whatever. I seriously couldn't care less about this conversation.

The romance in this drama (so far; I'm only on ep 12) is at You Are My Glory-level while everything else is more average for me. Meaning the leads did an excellent job bringing to life the romance. It's not even that the script was that good but that they did a damn good job with the execution. I'm enjoying it so far and that's all I really care about.

I'm actually glad I stuck it out because the romance itself is pretty great. Not necessarily the writing itself but the execution. Somehow I get drawn in. But then they go and throw in all the side stories again and lose momentum with the romance. smh

I'm only on ep 12 now.

I love how they break everything down but it's structured in a way that makes it easy to pick and choose what you want to spoil. The reviews are always very impartial but the author does a spectacular job of painting a clear picture for you. I always check here to see if there's a review like this for any c-drama I'm considering watching. I like to know what I'm getting into. Hate surprises. Just thought I'd share!

LOL! I'm only just about to begin watching ep 5 and I already agree. It's progressing too slowly. It literally had just crossed my mind that it would be a completely different case had it been a J-drama then I came on here and read this. Too funny.

Simply different tastes dear. We can't all like the same thing. What a boring world this would be if we did.

I'm pretty neutral about ZBB myself tbh. I'm looking forward to getting to the steamy scenes in this drama everyone keeps mentioning though. I seriously doubt I'll be disappointed.

I'm so glad you said this. I'm just about to start ep 5 and I was beginning to feel a bit disappointed that there's really been zero development in the romance aspect so far. At least give me something to keep me going. I can stick it out to ep 6. It's not that the drama is bad. It's just progressing really slowly and I want to see more romance, even if only mingled in with the business.

I absolutely agree! I'm only halfway through the 2nd episode now though but I don't want to go further since I know they'll have to separate. I can't believe how much I've fallen in love with this drama. The leads have done a splendid job so far. The lead actress owned her role.
