So the big secret was that he had a crush on her back when they were like 8 and she came to help him when she…
Because it's a mini drama they didn't spend time going into details about what he'd been doing in between that time but since everyone around him knew about that special person in his heart I believe we're supposed to understand the implication that he'd been keeping tabs on her prior to that first interaction in ep 1. He knew all about her so he had to have done his research and been keeping tabs. Had it been a longer drama I expect it would have been explained more clearly.
I just rewatched Ex-wife Stop S1 yesterday, finished S2 earlier today and started the first episode of You Are My Exclusive Surprise a few minutes ago. I noticed that he always wears a gold ring on his left pinky. I'm curious to know if that's something he always wears and, if so, what exactly it signifies. I suspect it may mean he's in a committed relationship in real life. If that's the case, I think it's a crazy cool way to subtly but blatantly express his commitment to that person in his heart, at all times. It'd be mad cool if I'm right.
I'm baffled by the wig thing. I'm guessing FL got a haircut and then scenes had to be shot so they got the longer…
LOL! If you scroll through the comments you'll find that I literally had the exact same questions you did about the switching back and forth between the wig and her normal hair that you did when I tried watching this a few months ago.
I made it to ep 24 and really want to see more of the main couple but I'm having the hardest time trying to force myself to watch this further. At some point SML just started having more screen time that anyone else and everything he does disgusts me so I needed a break. That was 3 months ago. Each time I try to go back to this I can't do it. I just tried to pick it back up AGAIN and realized that I'd immediately started skipping scenes, so I've stopped again. From spoilers I've found it seems that's going to continue for quite some time too and it seems they even eventually try giving him some sort of redemption arc that I have less than zero interest in seeing. It's such a damn shame because I really like the main couple in this drama (and the fashion!) but I think I'm gonna finally give up on it for good. *Sigh*
The cross-dressing wasn't only for 2 episodes. The question wasn't how long it was before the FL found out the ML was cross dressing. The cross-dressing lasted for like half the drama and he still did it occasionally when necessary.
hows the romance in this drama? is it the main focus or just part of it?
The romance plays a HUGE part in the drama. If your question is how much skinship there is then there was relatively little but there was a lot of romance.
I'm scrolling through here to see if anyone mentions what happens to the traitorous brother later on in the drama (I really want to know he suffers once he realizes what he's done) but have come across some of the strangest, frustrating and even disturbing comments instead lol. Like, WOW!
One person commented about having a hard time feeling badly for that sick af bastard Yool Mu, saying if he'd been the ML his behavior would have been seen in a positive light and that he really loved the FL...ummm, WHAT?!?! Like I can't even begin to address how absolutely ludicrous that post was. Others saying it was boring...okay, fine, maybe if this isn't your type of drama you'd feel that way. I'm not usually big on historical dramas myself but this one has had me hooked from the onset. I'm on ep 21 now and currently feel this is one of the best damn dramas I've watched in a long ass time. Another saying there was little romance...huh? I guess, if they mean hand-holding and kissing and all that 'skinship' stuff then there hasn't been much so far (I'm on ep 21) but that's not all that romance is about so I just...UGHHHHH! Another post asked how long the cross-dressing lasted and someone responded that it lasted just 2 episodes...WHAT?! HUH?!?! The question wasn't how long it was before the FL figured out the ML was cross-dressing. But because of their complete failure to answer the actual question the original poster lost interest. Like, seriously.
Don't get me wrong. There are lots of typical and standard (and helpful) posts here too. The weird are definitely the minority but they're SO weird and SO left field that I had to abruptly end my search for spoilers LOL!
EP 14: Ummmmm that's NOT ADHD. That's just a spoiled ass brat who needs an ass whooping. Also, I sincerely and…
Okay so I found some (very hard to follow) episode recaps somewhere and made the mistake of skimming through them to get the general gist of what happens in upcoming episodes. Now I don't even feel like watching this anymore because it just seems like all the positive momentum the show was having is about to come to an end. I'm midway through ep 14 now but it seems like the leads aren't even close to becoming a couple yet (based on the spoilers I read) AND the FL continues to stand up for and defend that ASSHOLE ex for like another 10+ episodes! I do NOT have the patience for that crap.
Now I see why there are comments on here saying this was such a disappointment. I'm going to try to continue on with this...eventually, but this could have been a really great drama had it been done right. This is one of those stories that should have been told as a kdrama not a cdrama.
OMG OMG OMG. After the first couple of episodes I finally got sucked into this and was truly surprised by how…

Also, I sincerely and very deeply DETEST that Mi Gu chick. She is absolute trash. She's LITERALLY hiding a gun for Asshole while not speaking up for the ML as Asshole talks trash about him to the FL's father?! This SECONDS after he squares off against the ML over the FL, right in front of the bitch! Yet she STILL protects him?! Honestly, I know it won't happen but I passionately wish to see her not only get slapped by the FL at some point but also hope she ends us facing the repercussions a typical antagonist who behaves the way she has been would. No matter how they try to spin it, her behavior thus far is not that of a protagonist's friend, but that of a woman faithful to an evil antagonist in any other drama.
OMG OMG OMG. After the first couple of episodes I finally got sucked into this and was truly surprised by how much fun I was having watching the leads interactions. I absolutely did not expect to laugh as much as I have been!
But then we get to the end of ep 12...*smh*
I'm sorry but her dumb, desperate ass friend sickens me. Asshole (aka the FL's ex) was all about the FL 2 secs ago and wouldn't even given you a second glance but now, because you've expressed your interest in him, he suddenly starts flirting with you and you fall for it? Like, WHAT?!! Either he's fickle as fuck, which isn't a good thing, or he's using you. How could it POSSIBLY be anything else? What is she, 12??? Like who tf loses their senses so completely over a guy based on absolutely not a damn thing?!! She knows NOTHING about the man!
Why. Whhhyyyyy do writers do this shit? Why?! The drama was progressing along so nicely but then the stupid writers have to go ruining it. As far as I'm concerned it's lazy writing. They could have found more creative ways for Asshole to coerce her without reducing the quality of the damn drama in the process.
Ooooh! This was exactly the post I needed! I just finished The Love You Give Me earlier today and was having trouble…
LOL! Right! Hence my difficulty in figuring out what to watch next. Even the ones I've liked I've already re-watched again! LOL!
I actually finally made some progress with My Dear Guardian though. It's had me laughing a lot which is a complete surprise. I made it as far as the end of ep 12 but then they had to go through completely STUPID behavior by the FL's best friend into the storyline and now I'm back here searching for a filler before I go back to it.
I finally started enjoying this but I'm at the start of ep 11 and my hackles are beginning to raise because of that asshole ex. Manipulative people are one of my biggest pet peeves and the fact that he's pursuing the FL while doing everything else that he is behind her back truly disgusts me, so there's no chance in hell that I'll have any good feelings towards him at any point throughout this drama. I doubt I'd be even half as disgusted with him as I am if he were only pretending to pursue her, to be honest. It's the fact that he's being the way he is towards someone he supposedly cares about that makes me absolutely sick.
Anyway, I digress. My hackles are raised because, while I greatly enjoyed the FL's father for calling him out to his face for trying to go through them (her parents) to get to her, the fact that Asshole (as I chose to refer to the ex) is still able to successfully manipulate a way in with her father is what has me figuratively tapping my brakes. I sense major frustration on it's way.
I need to know that his sneaky ass behavior doesn't get any real foothold in upcoming episodes because now I'm apprehensive. UGH!!!!! I need spoilers!
Does it take a while for the leads to become a (real) couple? I'm on ep 10 now when they're showing the FL and her ex's past as teenagers, after the ML has just left to go battle the floods. At the current pace of their relationship progression they should become a couple soon. Does the drama throw in unnecessary tropes to drag it out and delay that from happening?
