I couldn’t STAND him my first time watching this but now that I’m rewatching it again he’s not nearly as bad as I remember him being. Some stuff I found completely annoying before I found funny or sweet now since I understand his personality better. I totally expected I’d be skipping his scenes this time around, at least in the beginning, but I haven’t had to yet and I’m already on ep 12.

I had felt the 1st 14 or so episodes had been a little slow the first time around too but it’s not nearly as bad this time. I never thought those episodes were bad, I just kept starting and stopping a lot and it felt like little progress was being made. This time too, I’m still stopping more often than I know I’ll be once things pick up. From then on it becomes so addictive I lose sleep!

It dragged in the beginning - like the 1st 13 or 14 episodes. Once they got together it was a whole different ballgame. Everything picked up, including the side stories. So much so that, yes, by the end your left wanting more.

So I think people may be generalizing or maybe didn’t keep watching until things picked up.

It picks up to an entirely different level right around episode 14/15 then stays good from there on. Yu Da also gets MUCH better and plays a significant role. You actually had exactly the same issues I did and I almost dropped it several times myself. I really wanted to know how the main couple would finally get together though so I told myself to stick it out until then. If I remember correctly I think that happened in ep 14?? Once that happened everything picked up from there including all the side stories. It definitely didn’t feel drawn out at all after that. Only thing was while Yu Da started showing signs of improvement as well right around then (ep 15 or so) it wasn’t consistent at first. I’d go from thinking okay he’s getting better, to reverting right back to wanting him to just disappear. But I think from around ep 17 or so (I think?) he remains likeable from then on and actually becomes one of the most philosophical characters of the drama.

I watched this months ago though so my timeline may not be 100% accurate. I just started rewatching. On ep 2 now.

Players of the same (or next level up) ranking compete against one another to increase their ranks. You earn points basically. They explain this pretty well in the drama actually.

LOL! I haven’t watched it yet (I never start until a show finishes airing) but I swear not only did your comments make me laugh - because they’re SO TRUE! You totally called out the bs! LOL! - but it’s the most helpful thing I read on here, even after checking out a few reviews and several comments.

Just because his family isn’t around doesn’t mean they would stay away if their son has been killed in an accident. They clearly wanted justice as was mentioned. No need for them to return if nothing happened to him.

Also her date wasn’t watching the road when the accident happened. It was totally his fault. Driving in the snow without caution (like taking your eyes off the road to chat) is begging for an accident to happen. May as well drive drunk.

He knew the circumstances would put him at risk - even if only messing up his reputation, but there’s a wealth involved so he knew there would be more - and clearly he’s a nasty coward who’s first reaction is always to look for a scapegoat to take the blame for his actions when things go wrong. Like he did when he and the ML were young. He’s obviously not the kind of person that would be willing to pay for an accident if he could get out of doing it. That’s the kind of person that character is. It’s why he’s the antagonist.

My reason for explaining all this? Gotta get you to go back to liking it again! LOL! 😂 It’s my 4th time watching now.

One thing though - ML likes FL early on too but tries really hard not to because it scares him (his words).

Oh I add 1 more thing - I don’t start any dramas until they’re finished airing. Gotta make sure the ending has already happened so I can check the comments for all of the things you’ve mentioned before I’ll even start it.

This isn’t even my first time watching and I’m only checking out the newer comments on here but the further down I went I kept thinking I was trippin’ because I kept seeing comments that there isn’t one. There is! The 2 male protagonists like the female protagonist. But the 2 males are also friendly and the female only ever likes 1 of them. Once the 2nd male protagonist realizes he never stood a chance he backed off.

It was so well done and not at all messy.
