Guys please let me know what y'all think:So, I am planning to binge-watch this show once it ends. But all my social…
To lay your mind at rest, no, the Chinese government can't ban the series from airing, since it's already sold to non-Chinese platforms and is not airing in China.
Fame is always associated with risks in China, and that's not limited to BL actors. Mainstream actors also get subjected to hate and smear campaigns and some of them get banned, but yeah, to attract a lot of sudden attention does seem to be a high risk position in China. We can only hope that Tian Xuning and Zi Yu will be fine and come out of it stronger and with more supporters than haters.
Thereβs no need to spread unnecessary panic. So far, there is no evidence that BL actors are being arbitrarily…
Zhang Zhehan is still banned in China, despite the allegations against him have been proved over and over again to be fabricated. He makes music now, but he can only tour outside of China.
But both Johnny Huang and Timmy Xu who starred in Addicted, which was indeed banned from airing, are still working, as are Zhu Yilong, Bai Yu, Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan. The latter did go through a period of being "soft banned" but came back and has no issues anymore. Gong Jun who starred in both Advance Bravely and Word of Honor is still working. But it's notable that for example WYB and Johnny Huang both subsequently took many roles where they portrayed hard-core masculine patriotic hero types, perhaps in an attempt to "clean up" their image in the eyes of the authorities. And I wonder if it's relevant that the two actors who did experience problems (ZZH and XZ) both played the shou role in their respective dangai dramas.
Li Le and Wang Yunkai don't seem to have as many projects lined up, but that might be because MYatB didn't have the same impact as RL. And I notice that WYK, who also played the shou, has no projects lined up on MDL while Li Le has a couple of supporting roles. But I don't know if that amounts to being "soft banned".
Lol, I was planning to scroll through the comments to read some character perspectives, thoughts about the storyline…
And yeah, we had the ππ discussion yesterday in this comment section but you'd have to scroll a while to find it. Basically: no, it shouldn't even hurt if you do it right. Some discomfort, yeah, but no pain, and definitely not the next day. (But if you do it forcefully repeatedly for hours like Chai Jidan's MLs tend to do, I guess all bets are off.) Granted, I'm a woman, but that also means that I don't even have the benefit of a prostate.
I won't call that "censoring" because the whole series would be lmfao. They just have a different style…
MaxTul were always in a league of their own, yeah! πThey weren't explicit to that point, though. They may have shown bare torsos and kissing and rolling around on a bed, but everything else was mostly hinted at. We didn't see the naked grinding and thrusting the way we did in KP. But yeah, I like to say that MaxTul walked so KP could run. (I mean, there were some more or less pink Japanese movies too, but I don't really count them in the BL category.)
It's because WSW introduced him to his mother as a colleague back when they first met. He's just keeping to the…
Oh, you're right. But it's considerate of him to still keep to the story, just to avoid suspicion. I think WSW's mama definitely assumes that they're more friends than colleagues at this point, though!

And even the Thai BL fans forget that really explicit NC scenes weren't a thing in Thai BL either until after KP kicked in that door not that long ago. It's really only in the past couple of years that some Thai BLs have been that explicit, and many of them still aren't.
Am I the only who is waiting for series to end to do marathon, I really don't like waiting π and reels are…
Nobody else has the mental fortitude to wait, lol. One episode and I was hooked, need my weekly fix. If you want to binge it, don't start watching because then you won't be able to hold off watching as it comes out.
Chengyu and Xiaoshuai- I like how CY not so subtly confirmed XS doesn't want him moving on from him yet, and how…
Great reflections! Personally, I think Yue Yue was pretty bad for WSW, most of his development (emotional and otherwise) has come about because of his obsession with revenge forcing him to step up, and then because of his process of self-discovery with JXS as his (albeit scheming) friend and the relationship with CC. (He's in far over his head, but he didn't know that when he started, lol.) Yue Yue took his hard-earned money and then left him because he was a loser, she never loved him, just saw him as a convenience. CC is verrrry different, he has no problems showing his attraction and affection, and he has no motives beyond that. That must be a big confidence boost for WSW, even if he has a hard time accepting the attentions of a man, and even though he is wracked by guilt over his dishonesty and bad intentions in the beginning.

We're not talking about the vagina, we're talking about anal sex, which should not differ *that* much between the sexes. Except for the surrounding anatomy where guys have a prostate and women don't.

Yep, same. Uncomfortable, yes; unbearable, no; painful, no. And no pain the next day. But judging by the testimonies by guys in this thread, it might be different for women. Perhaps women have more anatomical room for adjustment? Or maybe women are just more accustomed to the idea and practice of being on the receiving end. Or maybe we just had more considerate partners...
