Yup, this is what so many people don't understand. It's not about a straight man getting "bent", it's about a guy whose identity has been 100% straight up till now, and suddenly he is realising that he is possibly bisexual, and that can be a difficult process, especially growing up in a society where there are no lgbtq rights and your parents might not accept you being in a same-sex relationship. Also a patriarchal society that shames the passive party as "unmanly" (aside from pure apprehension about the mechanics of it). There's quite a bit of internalised homophobia that he needs to get over before he can commit to all this.

That's what I said, using traditional characters makes sense if it isn't going to be aired in mainland China. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Chinese-speaking population in Singapore, Malaysia etc. all use traditional characters.
