It's a bad literal translation of the Chinese title. Welcome to Chinese dramaland LMAO. It makes sense in Chinese but a more idiomatic English translation would be something like "The Uncle I Never Knew"

There are, like, *tons* of straight/friendship Kdramas, though? A lot more than there are gay ones. It's not like it's hard for you to avoid the gay ones if that bothers you so damn much? Not everything is for everyone and you don't have to be homophobic just because you don't like BL, maybe you're just not into romance, but you don't see me going into comment sections of a crime drama complaining about it being about crime simply because I failed to read the tags
