I have a question, was the part in the trailer where HZQ is seriously hurt and under water in the novel? If so, when are they under water, and why does she look half-beaten to death? Where was the ML during that time?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but after seeing the new previews, he has surpassed LCY for the top spot as a toxic, unforgivable, and extremely hatable male lead. Congrats, I guess.
Edit: Just wanted to say that the acting is good and I'm not shading the actors btw. I like both of them but the character is more insane than I thought he would be.
The previews made me mad. He knows how her family treats her yet he allowed that sister of hers to come. And now the sister is over her trying to belittle her in private. If they don't show her or him putting that sister in her place by the end of that episode I'm going to be so mad because ZY has been pissing me off.
