I don't recall any news about SJK & SHK ever living together before they got married, no? Anyway, they were dating and didn't bother to announce anything about it until they actually got engaged. SJK & SHK had barely known each other personally for a year, let alone dating when they announced their marriage.

Timeline of him letting us know Katy's the one:

1) News is he met her abroad AFTER 'Vincenzo' finished [2021] but his cast members from 'Ro Ki Wan' are singing like birds to the press stating he told them he's known her for ~3yrs, which with covid seems hard to imagine, unless he had a 'Zoom' relationship with her prior to meeting her in person.
2) They dated while traveling together abroad.
3) He asked her to move in with him in South Korea and she's been here since Spring of this year.
4) He mentions his love for her on Sept. 29 during a speech at APAN Daesang awards.
5) She gets pregnant the end of October since she is currently 3 months pregnant.
6) He openly takes her to a press conference for 'Reborn Rich' in Singapore, Dec. 7th and introduces her to production. He takes her to several friend's weddings, one in Bali and others in Korea.
7) Mid-December a K-netizen posts and gets lamblasted for saying they saw both of them at an OB-GYN clinic together.
8) Through his agency, SJK confirms his relationship to Katy, Dec. 26th, and his agency denies the pregnancy rumors.
9) SJK announces that he's already married and she's pregnant on January, 30, 2023.

So, point here, is that, he is confirmed to have dated her ~1 year before he asked her to move in with him. Then they've been living together for ~1 year in South Korea. So, I don't see how this is fast. Isn't this like the average time span that most relationships go to marriage? Most people don't need to dated 4-5 yrs to get married unless they're nervous about it. SJK has always expressed a desire to be married and have a family. It's there in his released statement as well.

exactly, and he is marrying a foreigner, so, the audience SHOULD be harsher with him, guess if you are pretty…
Wait wut???
There are reasons for the difference.

**Seo Jang Hoon had filed complaints against a lot of people who said he was getting divorced, less than a year before it happened. Netizens had a problem with his attitude, not merely the fact he got divorced.

**Lee Hye Young filed a lawsuit against Lee Sangmin for fraud, cheating, and a bunch of other stuff. He ended up going to prison for operating an illegal gambling website.

SJK's divorce was lowkey and amicable. Neither trashed each other in the press. They're both considered good and decent people who just had a difference in lifestyles that lead to their divorce. Why would they be harsher on SJK than these others for that???

sad he is getting married because of the baby, we all know people outside south korea uses birth control to stop…
Yes... that's why his statement "...Naturally, we both dreamed of making a happy family. We've put in a lot of effort to keep our promises to each other.." has much more meaning than I think most commenters are understanding. I think it has gone over everyone's head. He has wanted to start a family, not merely be married. He brought her to South Korea to live with him, as she has for over a year now. It's painfully obvious that this Westerner, and SJK wanted to start a family...so, it's not sad, because he's getting married and having a kid because that's what he "..put in a lot of effort.." to do. lol.

It's a shotgun marriage. No baby. No marriage.
Except for this comment by SJK:

"..Naturally, we both dreamed of making a happy family. We've put in a lot of effort to keep our promises to each other..." as well as all the other translations of this phrase which essentially confirms the he brought her to live with him in South Korea, which she's been doing for over a year now, with the intention of starting a family...and "put a lot of effort" has more connotations than... '..OOPS.. I knocked you up so I guess we will get married..' AND she's Western so getting married simply because you're pregnant, if she wasn't sure or didn't essentially have the inclination to get married in the first place, she wouldn't be bringing her folks over here to support her through the process and getting married, period.

Since SJK said it this way, we must take it at face value...How do you know they weren't planning a wedding and such when this happened??? The Chinese media infiltrated his first wedding, even with drones. It was a fiasco! Do you REALLY think he wants to do THAT again, along with the kind of scrutiny he will get for marrying a European woman??? How do you know he wasn't hiding it? SJK said they've been "..putting a lot of effort.." into 'MAKING' a family. Those are his words... so, yes...it's NOT a shotgun wedding in my estimation...due to experience....

Because by your estimation, me and my husband had a "shotgun" wedding on Labor Day September, 1997, after living together for 5 years, because I got pregnant. Except I was already engaged, bought my wedding dress, and was set to get married the following March, 1998. I had my son in January, 1998, and, even though my husband said he didn't care if we got married after his birth, I wanted to get married beforehand, so we had to up the plans and have it done in a few months, rather than the original schedule... I'm sorry...but I do NOT consider my wedding to be "SHOTGUN", only a timing change...because I would have been married regardless....that's far from "...no baby...no marriage..." Just saying....

Asian countries have bigger abortion rates than in Europe or the USA. Almost 9 times more. The mom probably decided…
I don't know where you get your information from, but even before the new laws went into effect the percentage rate of abortions has gone down and is currently under 10% as of 2017 -- 4.8% to be specific.

Here's a Yonhap News article from 2019 discussing the rates:

Here's a statistical data chart that's been compiled from 1961 to 2022:

And to further clarify that the rates are down to 4.8 since 2017, here's the stats from 'statista' website:

Maybe the information you're getting are from abortion advocates who were trying to exaggerate the rates to push for legalization laws. But, ROK's abortion rates haven't been above 30% since early 2000s...FYI.

As I wrote on another related discussion, I have the notion that the South Korean celebrity relationships' environment…
I went to high school in at Utsunomiya Kita high school, and I worked for All Nippon Airways as a aerospace parts buyer. I'm well aware of Japanese attitudes.

As for SJK's parents... I don't think they'll interfere this time around. His father popped off far too much last time and got slammed in the press for it and had to do a lot of apologizing on his son's behalf. I just read an article about how his dad said 'no comment' and hung up the phone on a Sports Seoul reporter who called him for a reply to the news. hahaha... I think he's learned his lesson. 😅

It totally makes sense. SJK needed an italian language teacher in vicenzo project. So maybe, they met there. Around…
By Korean standards it's not. They've been living together at his place for over a year now. In Korea, that's basically being married...he just hadn't add her to the family register yet...with a kid, that necessity became apparent.

oh how sorry I feel for his wife now under the Korean microscope! May they find happiness regardless!
I have the opposite thought. She's not only European but a former European actress. She's not gonna give a crap about the scrutiny of a small nation like Korea. She likely doesn't live by their standards nor has any interest, outside her new Korean family to do so anyway. They can raise their child in Europe as well, since he's already stated they will be living between those two places as a family.

What I think is freaking awesome is how SJK is blasting all the standards and showing he can STILL remain famous and relevant!! SJK and his new soon-to-be bride are not the ones who will have to adjust, but Korean society. If they attack her, their 'racist' inclinations will be decimated by the international media and citizens at large. South Korea as a whole hates being considered 'small' and 'small minded' even if that's what they are most of the time. They'll have to straighten up right quick!

SJK broke the mold! He likely would have had a hard time getting into another relationship based on how negatively Koreans look at divorce, and the shaming they would do to divorcees. Not only is he getting remarried, BUT she's absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic pedigree [ that Koreans overall cherish themselves ] and pregnant already. He flew in the face of their stereotypes and judgments. I just love this about SJK. No one can hold him back!

I figured this!!!!

At the start, it felt like Song Joong Ki was so ready to start a family right after he came out of conscription. The 'mostly' amicable breakup of his first marriage always felt like they just happened to be at odds with their lifestyles. She had her own set of friends, but other than that, she's pretty much felt like she wasn't a big 'family' person. So many times he was at family/friend events on his own. Over time, especially her age, that they weren't getting pregnant felt like that was just something she wasn't into or interested in, which is totally, 100% her prerogative. But, by his words and actions, it was totally obvious he was the opposite. He wanted kids and to start a family right away. You can see that with how he is with his own family's young ones.

Katy feels like a person that has a lot of the same interests as well as desire for family. She's already attended many functions with him and such. He talks about their animals and such. It really felt like this has been a long time coming. I'm so happy for him.

For those inevitable 'shotgun wedding' comments: Let's be clear here. She's a Westerner. She's European. If she didn't want to have a child and spend the rest of her life with this man, she wouldn't. Europeans hold very little shame and public outcry of romantic relationships that come out like this. They are a dime a dozen. She can do whatever she wants without any major harm to her reputation. It's obvious what her choice is. Blessing to them both and I wish them a long and happy family life together.

Maybe that's been true in China, Singapore, Vietnam, Mongolia, Cambodia, Nepal, and North Korea. But that hasn't been the case for Thailand and South Korea, that only recently [2021 to be specific] decriminalized abortion. But Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Taiwan, India, and Hong Kong either outright prohibit abortion, or prohibit 'abortion on demand', thus, only allowing it for specific reasons, i.e. r@pe, life/health risk, fetal impairment, or socio-economic reasons and only within a certain timeframe, like 1st/2nd trimester, after overcoming those circumstances.

Just because China HAD a 'One Child Policy' with their 1.4B population doesn't mean the entirety of Asia is into abortion. By and large, it's actually quite opposite of your statements. Even China has had to up it's child policy to THREE kids because they've made it carte blanche abortion for decades it's in the psyche of their citizens to do that rather than have a bunch of kids. China isn't 'Asian countries', it's ONE nation.

I'm hearing the he's planning to go independent. Seeing that he already got a project in the works, without officially signing with another agency, leads me to believe this is likely gonna be the case.

For actors that already have an established brand, this is probably the best way to go about things in the future. Make your own decisions and keep all your own hard work earnings.

Wow. This is messy.

He said she told him that she needs to get out from under her abusive parents, so he's been putting her up and paid the monthly rent on top of her borrowing money, but she just drops him for another dude? And that's not the other dude that says she owes him money...like this girl is 17 and already that's 3 boyfriends and counting...whoa...in South Korea, that's pretty scandalous. Not sure how this is gonna be for her career but I'm not hopeful at all....she sounds like a nightmare.

Then top that off with her reply that she needs to get legal counsel from her parents. bwhahaha...the same 'abusive' parents she had guys paying her living expenses to get away from??? She cannot possibly have an agency, because why would they allow her to post this stuff of social media when it just makes her look worse. Need to have some life experience before trying to act like an adult. Silly girl.

Now that prosecutors say they will seek to arrest Park Min Young's 'supposed' ex-b/f, all the nasty underbelly of South Korean entertainment talent agencies see the light of day.

This poor man has been gaslighted up one side and down the other. Let's get the facts straight about how shit went down, shall we?

His contract was up back in May, 2021 and he wanted to leave to go independent. A week before his contract was supposed to expire -- May 31st -- Hook Ent leaks his relationship with Dain. He gets lambasted. You know why??? Because Hook couldn't let him go it alone to learn just HOW MUCH MONEY he was REALLY making!! Does it surprise anyone that the Dain leak happened on the EXACT same day Hook announced LSG would be leaving their agency???

So many posts questioning whether his career is tanking, etc... So, what does he do??? Yep! He makes a partnership deal with Hook on June 10, 2021, 10 days after his old contract expires, wherein, he still gets to keep his agency Human Made to actively communicate with domestic and overseas fans through independent and creative activities in more diverse platforms like he planned but they got to continue managing his career, including acting, music, MCing, etc. The GASLIGHTING that must have gone on to keep him there just makes my stomach turn.

Thankfully PMY moves to Hook in December 2021, and then less than a year later gets outed with her b/f by Dispatch. The 'supposed' ex-b/f is an embezzler and fraudster like the CEO of Hook. He invested in the media production company, Chorokbaem Media, that merged with Hook Entertainment around the same time PMY switched her talent agency to Hook as well. Coincidence? We think not!! By mid-Nov., 2022 Hook was being raided by law enforcement, likely on embezzlement and tax evasion...because they've been watching PMY's 'supposed' ex-b/f's crypto BS and paper corps. If not for this shit, LSG likely NEVER would have sniffed out what was going on behind the scenes, and continue to have this shady company pilfer his hard worked earnings.

After that raid, Youn Yuh Jong left, and LSG was demanding an accounting of his funds....now he finally gets to run his own company, get paid IN FULL, and be done with all the gaslighting, embezzling BS.

I don't know how PMY comes out of this ok. Like, you have to be stupid to think she wasn't aware of EXACTLY all the crap that was going on....money is the root of all evil....

Finally Bogummi is doing another drama. He's vacationed far too long...looks like he's decided to be independent than join an agency and I'm all for it!!

This is definitely a pairing I never knew I really wanted!! Reminding myself from the start to not get any 'shipper' feels about these two, since she's in a relationship with Lee Jong-suk.

Money is the root of all evil.

I'm so sad about her poor decisions, not just in her dramas. Leaving her agency for Hook that gaslighted and embezzled money from Lee Seung Gi. Now the confirmation of her relationship with a crypto fraudster who also embezzles money? Hearing that this fraudster put PMY's sister in a executive position in one of the company's he fronts just makes me even sadder. Looks like he has connections with Hook and that may be why PMY switched over agencies less than a month after a partnership was announced. Kang Jong-Hyun invested in Chorokbaem Media which partnered with Hook Entertainment in 2021. Looks like embezzlers enjoy hanging out with embezzlers. With his crypto scams and Kwon Jin Young's scamming of Lee Seung Gi, how do you come out of this alive? Hearing whiffs of other talents of Hook being involved in embezzlement.

They got so brazen, but finally the police took notice and raided Hook last November. I swear that's why Lee Seung Gi started to wise up and demand an accounting of his earnings. Acclaimed actress Youn Yuh Jung left in December following the raid. Nothing like having the light of day shined on your dealings to clean up a mess. These poor actors... Lee Seung Gi wanted to leave Hook years ago, May, 2021 to be more precise...around the time that partnership started. He wanted to start his own agency... but when he made that decision, all of a sudden his dating rumor with Dain came to light. Hook has been gaslighting Seung Gi for years. He should have not been contracted with Hook after May 2021 when he started his 'One Man Agency'...but looks like his contract just finally ended after confirming that they've been embezzling money from him all this time.

Now that prosecutors have indicated they are seeking arrest of Kang Jong-Hyun, I don't see how PMY's name isn't 100% completely tarnished over this. She's such a beautiful girl. Jong Hyun is not only shady af, but dude is out of shape with a face not fit for exposure. What in the hell did she see in him besides money? This is a girl who takes fitness and dancing seriously. He gives her family money and positions, and she dates him. It just looks so freaking bad... No wonder she hasn't invested her energy in picking and acting in good projects these last few years. Why should she? Her family was getting paid by her b/f. *smh*

Title Hit the Spot
The thing is how heejae will react if her ex boyfriend brings a sex toy out of nowhere saying he is not getting…
There are a lot of women who have never had an orgasm, however it's very rare to find a man who has ejaculated without climaxing. They are usually simultaneous. Whether any release is satisfying to either male or female is very subjective, indeed, and isn't always tied to your emotional and intimate feelings towards your partner.

From personal experience, with many of my g/fs saying, even alone using toys, weren't able to achieve climax, there is definitely an emotional/mental attachment to sex that less men suffer. That's not to say that men don't suffer from performance anxiety. Believe me, they do, and can, and it's just as unfun for them as it is for women. It's just that, as a statistical percentage, more women suffer from the issues than men.

Additionally, not scientifically researched, just anecdotal on my part, more 'attractive men' have issues pleasing women than the average/above average looking guy. Attractive guys tend to rely on their good looks to score, and often are more selfish lovers, not on purpose, just that they are visual lovers, like majority of their partners, however, for women, in the end, this isn't always a 100% climaxing conclusion, it serves more as foreplay. In the end, they don't put in much effort to understand a woman's body & pleasing them since it's not necessary for them to get down a girl's pants. I'd say, ~60-70% of the avg looking guys are appreciative of having a partner, and tend to put more effort into knowing how to please her, and are as excited, if not more excited when they're able to figure her out and have her climax. They'll ask the questions during sex, and pay attention to not just her words. ...Just like men with performance anxiety, with women who are eager for it to happen, tend to often be too tense to relax and enjoy it...Allowing the process of finding the various ways to climax is something that needs to be done in an emotional relaxing mental state -- and there are more ways than 1 to achieve it, and that's not just toys or positions...but spots within a woman's anatomy.

On another note, this isn't a textbook situation, as there is never any tried and true way or standard operating procedure to achieve the end goal. Thus, it's not a matter of society's repression or teaching young adults how to use their bodies. This will always be an individual personal pursuit, and, for women mostly, the process is very much tied to their emotional and mental state, and that's not something you teach, but something internal that every individual has to figure out for themselves. All society can do is make activities revolving sex not so taboo as to disallow a woman from the process of figuring out her body without feeling degraded and ashamed.

Is she really gonna still be married when they start falling for each other? =/

Why do the same K-Drama plot themes come in groups of consecutive dramas until they find a new batch? There was already a drama about romcom cram school instructor with a "mystery" woven into the story. I remember the time slip batch, the AI Robot batch.... it's like the writers get together and determine the next 2 years worth of drama template themes then all work off of it for the next couple years. lol.

I'll still watch it though, because, watching Asian dramas since 2006, I'm used to watching the same story being told multiple times in various ways, remakes...even between nations, i.e. Thai version, Taiwan version, South Korean version, Chinese version, Filipino version, Japanese version, etc. etc.
