I just want to understand so no take this as me slighting your oppa .From my previous understanding he did beat…
"your oppa"... he's not anything of the sort. I'm 53 years old and have 2 boys, 1 is 21, the other 24. He's just an actor that I've enjoyed watching over the years, much like JD isn't my "oppa" either. He, as well, is an actor I enjoy watching. Why does my attitude have to do with some kind of romanticizing of the person. Stop generalizing attitudes. That is also the problem with cancel culture. It's also a very similar statement to what Amber Heard's PR firm tried to push out to the public, that the only supporters for JD are "stans" who obsess over him. The trial proved otherwise.
Again, what much of the headlines state and what you read online is pretty much bullshit. What you think you know isn't always accurate. [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPS6QBm9ZtI Watch these American lady lawyers discuss just these kinds of facts and how appalled they are to discover that Legacy Media outlets are less the spot on about anything ~ And Emily D Baker, former L.A. prosecutor, was 1 of the 1st to cover Britney Spears case BEFORE we all found out about her father and company's likely embezzlement and erroneous medical necessity surrounding Britney & her estate. She should be worth as much as her peers, which is about $150m+, but she's only worth $60m, and that's after a LV showing... anyway, point being, EVERYONE believed she needed to be imprisoned by her father because that's what the Legacy Media told us... nothing could have been further from the truth, and because of the media supporting her dad, she suffered under that conservatorship for 13 long years. ]
I don't know what IS or IS NOT accurate out in the online diatribe about what SHE said or HE said they did or did not do during their relationship so I can only go by actual legal documentation, much like these lady lawyers go over on their YT channels, as the best indicators of where the truth lies. I don't know about you, but I believe that assault and such are illegal. If she took him for the money and didn't prosecute him, I wonder how much of the evidence is accurate. She turned around and got together with him again after the incident, obviously, because the proof is, she had his baby from those encounters. She again went after him for money. But the only court proceeding that happened regarding their relationship that I can look to for the truth is that he won in court.
Canceling people based on hearsay and innuendo is wrong on all accounts, Regurgitating stuff you have no way of knowing are based in facts is malicious. Gossiping about people without understand the truth is just as bad. This is why I posted that. I'm not here to relitigate or change anyone's mind. I'm just saying that stuff like this is, JD, Britney, Hyun Joong, is better to be none of our business because it's the public's insatiable attitude that help create the mess... ESPECIALLY the papz towards Britney.... and the papz do NOT exist without the public PAYING for those tidbits of gossip, whether true or not... and a person's reputation, at the end of the day, is all they have when everything else is stripped away.
Per an article in the Korean Herald, this drama was filmed between June and November of 2021. It's in post-production, with a supposed 2022 release date... but who knows why they cannot get distribution now.
BTW. the director of this movie, Kang Hyeong-cheol, had over-the-top praise for Yoo Ah In's acting ability, charisma, and professionalism. He said that he's one of the most fascinating actors in front of the camera, and that, after filming, felt like he hadn't even tested Yoo Ah In's compacity as an actor and wanted to work with him more. He said even though he's got "star" appeal, when working he's simply a true actor. This was a film that requires an ensemble not just one main actor. So, the director praised Yoo Ah In, in that, though he has this star power and appeal in his acting ability, Yoo Ah In, knows how to reign it end and balance it out so as to *not* out shine the rest of the cast...The director had tons of praise for his professionalism.
Commenting to someone cuz they don't agree with your assessment of their chemistry is the height of immaturity and passive aggressiveness. No wonder you see them as bro/sis thru the lens of your corneas. Grow up. You have your opinion you already posted. We can read it. Don't then attach an insult to others who disagree 2 days later because their comment got more likes than yours. It's rude.
With celebrities, this is the official seal for me. Even though sometimes breakups happen after marriage with celebrities, it's a rarer case when there are kids involved. I'm so happy that she went straight from marriage to motherhood without skipping a beat. Just solidifies in my mind how truly committed they both are... especially now that he has a ton of content in the works... of COURSE he does!!! He's got another mouth to feed!
Watching the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial, I thought about this man. We really need to stop judging the truth through social media. Let what happens in an actor's personal life be sorted out among real life friends and family and the proper authorities. Cancel culture is a nasty thing that tends to hurt MORE innocent people than they protect.
If you don't personally know the facts of ANY matter, best to stop gossiping and mind your own business. There's a reason that it's one of the 10 commandments and is often considered the 8th of the deadly sins:
"Who am I? I have no respect for justice. I maim without killing. I break hearts and ruin lives. I am cruel and malicious and gather strength with age. The more I am quoted, the more I am believed. I flourish at every level of society. My victims are helpless. They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name and no face. To track me down is impossible. The harder you try, the more elusive I become. I’m nobody’s friend. Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same. I topple governments and ruin marriages. I destroy careers and cause heartache and sleepless nights. I spawn suspicion and generate grief, make innocent people cry on their pillows. Even my name hisses. I am gossip.
All the sins of the tongue are deadly. Profanity, insults, lying negativism, complaints, and criticism are all harmful. Gossip is a particularly deadly sin. Gossip has destroyed more people, tarnished more reputations, broken more friendships than any sin I’m aware of. Gossip is quickly told, quickly heard, and quickly spread. Worst of all, gossip is quickly believed. People will confess to theft, adultery, even murder. But no one confesses to gossip."
Be mindful of this... AGAIN, once a reputation is tarnished, that is it for the person. You cannot put the genie back into the bottle. A career is destroyed. A life is divergent... but the lie is never wiped completely away. There will now be people who will believe it until the end of time. If it was you, what could or would you do? There's nothing to redemption... and society as a whole has done this to you with their words and actions never to be punished for their acts of cruelty.
Its not cool to make fun of mental illness. He was in a bad place at that time and as you can see in CLOY & Mr…
WTF are you talking about?
You took what I said and freaking ran with it, didn't you? You made ALL sorts of assumptions that I NEVER even said. These are YOUR issues, not mine. You obviously have a problem with it, not me.
Don't act like you know me and my intentions. I don't give a shit about an actor's PERSONAL life. I'm not his friend. I'm not here to gossip. I'm here to talk about his ROLES as an ACTOR which is why I'm on MDL.
My comment was pure and simply about how fun and GREAT his role in Mr. Queen was and how I laughed so hard every time he said "NO TOUCHY". I want him to have a similar role to that vs his role in CLOY.
Where do you jump to the idea that I'm saying he has problems with intimate scenes when CLEARLY, as YOU said, he doesn't have any problems with them?????
Still , as popular but mediocre actress can be, Suzy's drama choices are better than Yoona.Yoona had no luck with…
I'd agree. I actually like 'Uncontrollably Fond' although it felt like a jinx to Woo Bin... And I was surprised at how good 'While You Were Sleeping' ended up being. I couldn't say the same for Yoona's.
Yoona's acting may improve after a series of movies' Success. She is nominated for Baeksang, I hope she is good…
Let's be honest though, since her acting debut in a drama in 2007, there are very few dramas you'd call a masterpiece of acting deserving of a Baeksang. Her dramas suffered from her FL portrayals which have 95% been lackluster, and even worse, they are ones you wouldn't recommend to others to watch, or that you'd be willing to sit through it and watch it again....
On the other hand... There's Junho and his dramas that are beloved like Chief Kim, Wok of Love, Just Between Lovers. He's had less than half the amount of roles as Yoon Ah, and he's hitting it out of the park with his acting. He deserves the praise... It's LONG overdue for Yoon Ah to show more potential... and if she doesn't she should be placed in IDOL dramas where that kind of acting is acceptable and let a better actress take a lead part opposite ML who are good at their craft. Again, Junho will end up suffering for it if it flops because he doesn't have as long of a list of titles under his name to hang his hat on. It brings down his rep...
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but Junho's act is too superior to Yoon Ah's. Love Rain, Prime MInister & I and The King in Love were flops with some of the best ML actors. Then there was K2. I was SO looking forward to JCW in that cause it so fits his acting style and persona. I wanted to love it as much as Healer! But Yoon Ah was so out of her league in that drama that the coupling and the entire thing fell flat for me. I felt more chemistry between him and the villain specifically BECAUSE she's such a good actress and played so well against JCW acting skills.
Junho deserves an actress that can keep up with him. He was just starting to come into his own before his conscription, and now that he's back he doesn't need any bumps in the road. His acting in 'The Red Sleeve' was perfect. I did question his pairing with Seyoung but Yoon Ah isn't even as good as Seyoung. For his sake, I hope Yoon Ah can stop acting awkward and emote better than she ever has in her life. I'm prepared to be disappointed again though. It's hard when anything you've ever watched or considered watching with Yoon Ah in it, expecting it to be something great, turns out to be such a waste of time, to then be optimistic about it. =/
Boy, am I glad that international fan ratings don't matter for shit in the final analysis for Woobinie's 1st drama comeback since 'Uncontrollably Fond'. A whole 6 years ago! Thankfully it has HIGH ratings in the place where it matters: South Korea!
The questioning about multi mains and the way this drama is being told shows hardly ANY international fans really listened and understood the concept and FORMAT of this drama, which was pronounced way before this aired.
Know what you're watching and PICK you genres according to your taste. You don't like a **GENRE** then don't watch it. But to down vote it and pan it for not being a COOKIE CUTTER of every other drama you watched is simply bullshit. The FORMAT and GENRE is what it is. How are they gonna do it different to suit your cliched Asian drama template loving style?? THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS DRAMA WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SO THAT'S NOT WHAT IT IS.
For those who want to be educated as to why this is being told the way it is, here are the remarks about it from the writer Noh himself:
“An Omnibus style is something that I wanted to try on in a drama series for over 10 years. I kind of got sick and tired of just seeing a male lead and a female lead. We are all lead characters in each of our lives but why is it that everything just revolves around two people in a drama. and those questions have led me to choose an omnibus style. And I chose Jeju because I believe it is a place where the local sentiments remain intact. In Jeju, the whole neighborhood can be blood-related and if not then they are very close to each other. And this was something I could really use to portray Korean culture."
I love this let bts of Xu Kai's sword skills for this drama.
I didn't expect him to be so proficient. As a 2nd degree BB in taekwondo, I'd say you can color me impressed. Xu Kai's body structure and looks are just so well fitted for historical content and costumes. You have to admit it suits him better than modern attire.
Hahaha.... Man, papz & entertainment media ALWAYS take shit to the next level! It was a cute interaction, and likely an encouragement considering her age...but to JUMP to that conclusion is something only the media could do. hahaha. 😁😂
Don't hate me but I did see a LOT of the **leaked** footage from their wedding. They looked beautiful. The venue was like a laidback fairytale. Lots of flowers but the venue itself wasn't haute couture. I love that about them. They wear brands well but their attitudes are casual despite the elegance they both exude. lol. It was nice to see that expressed in their wedding. Very tastefully and tactfully done. Loved seeing that their families seem to have quite a good rapport with each other, and seem to like their new in-laws. HB is so very gentle & sweet with SYJ! He's a charmer for sure. Lucky girl!
Lastly, it was fun seeing that Gong Hyo Jin caught the bouquet AND that HB clapped like a seal with joy for her. hahaha. Here's hoping she ALSO finds her happy ending.
Dylan doing this webtoon literally ended his career, as far as I can tell. They had to disable the comments under the section of the YouTube video where he is a part of it. I suspect it's the sort of romanticizing him with an elementary age female student but I cannot be sure. I would say that they didn't make it vague from what I've seen. Why he and his company were okay with him doing that when he was on a hotstreak, actually the most popular and active member of his group is beyond me. Right after this aired, he stopped promoting completely, even with his group. Then a couple months later another member of D-Crunch left, and the company said Dylan was dealing with mental health issues and was on hiatus. That was the end of last year, and now D-Crunch have a comeback that he won't be involved in at all.
So, after all this, the only thing I can conclude is that the concept of this webtoon surrounding his part in it was trashed by Netizens, who are always extremely harsh, and he got screwed up in the head with all the anti comments and backlash that he's destroyed his career and likely, after everything passes, while quietly be pushed out of D-Crunch and his budding IDOL career.
This is a lesson for the younger folks in this day and age of Cancel Culture. Be very VERY sure of the projects you take on and if anything it involves could trigger people to hate on you. Nowadays you have to be OVERLY sensitive to this fact than ever before.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

Glad to hear they're still working things out and have added to their family.
