Daon seems like already falls for Seonghyeon. He will protect Seonghyeon from Su Hyeon by any means even it will…
Sadly it’s by leaving the situation the person thinks he has control over. So if Seong would leave the company Su Hyeon has no control over him anymore or at least he can’t threaten him anymore with his job. That same goes for Da On. But both like the job they have, also leaving could mean that Su Hyeon could possible black list both of them from the industry. They would need to move to a different city to get a job and away from Su Hyeon. All in all it’s a lot of hassle and it cost a lot of energy and money.
Last week I said that I could see Su Hyeon having a redemption arc during this series, I said I could see him accepting that Da On was with somebody else. But after episode 5 I think I need to be realistic. The last days, weeks (no idea the complete timeline of this series) Jaemin hasn’t been really in the picture, this could have been the chance for Su Hyeon, to show to Da On that he is not this violent person. To tell Da On the truth about the contract and what Jaemin did. But alas he showed the complete opposite, threatening Da On with the removal of him from the project. Last episode Su Hyeon said to Jaemin that from now on he would be protecting Da On but it seems like he needs to protect Da On more from himself, than from anybody else. The aggression Su Hyeon showed by grabbing Da On’s face, it’s not the cute gently fluffy way, he did it so hard that he made Da On bleed. It is very clear that Su Hyeon has major agression problems, you don’t want to be in a relationship with a guy who can’t control his anger and who lashes out at everything!
I said a couple of days ago that Jaemin has this mindset that he owns Da On but Su Hyeong has that same mindset. Both are incredible toxic and dangerous, Jaemin shows it mostly in manipulation and gaslighting and Su Hyeon in his aggression and control. Both are extremely obsessed by Da On.
As for the rest of the episode, the interaction between Seong and Da On was incredible fun and heartwarming to see. The moment where they were taking photos together was adorable, you could see that Da On was slowly starting to relax and lower his walls. Seong taken it up for Da On, defending him against those snotty high school friends was also a feel good moment. We got to see that Da On his attention started to go a stray from Jaemin to Seong, a very good example of that was Da On sending a message to Jaemin but got distracted by Seong his question about what he was going to wear the next day.
All in all I personally hope the next episode shows this progress but I have a hard time believing that, because even though we see Da On changing, he still is the person who lets it all happen, who is still somewhat naively.
I won’t say it’s his fault for Su Hyeon grabbing him by the face or getting aggressive/angry. But he did go willingly with Su Hyeon because he wanted to avoid Seong seeing him/them. I personally would have never put myself in a situation where I was in a closed confinement together with my abuser. Especially a car, which can be locked and hard to get out of when it’s driving.
I'm so sorry, but it is such a reach to try to lay any of this on Heng's feet. This is all Mo. He's not just self-sabotaging,…
Agreed! I can understand insecurities, what I don’t get is not communicating about it. Especially after last weeks episode where Heng got to meet Mo his parents and getting the blessings from the dad. It should have reinforced the relationship, it should have made it stronger! Heng was scared to meet Mo his parents yet he got over it and was so brave. Wished Mo had done the same thing.
The three couples are basically separated by school years. Arc and arm are the first 8 episodes, than in year…
You won’t need to watch from the beginning but Faifa and Wine do have a scene in episode 9 minute 8:49 and 10:42, and episode 11 minute 42:38. After that you can basically start with episode 17. You might not understand some scenes when Yotha (Faifa his brother) is talking about Faifa because part of Faifa his history is told during the YothaGun storyline. But you can always try and watch it, if you don’t understand it completely I would start with episode 9, and watch from there.
I only still watch for the small YothaGun moments. I find FaifaWine their story quite boring if I’m being honest.…
It’s fine, maybe I should have said it differently, I do t understand the point you are trying to make to me. That because I’m not able to connect with the last couple I’m somehow projecting?
I only still watch for the small YothaGun moments. I find FaifaWine their story quite boring if I’m being honest.…
There are more than enough people who have said it after the first episode aired and who stopped watching for that reason! There are a lot of YothaGun/PerthSanta fans who stopped watching it, because New made the character Yotha do a 180 in personality and actions, while making it look like Faifa was the good guy who protected Gun from his big bad brother. Just because I’m still watching doesn’t mean that I’m the only one who made that comparison. I don’t know what the rest is you are talking about. I gave my opinion as to how I feel about Faifa, I don’t know why you feel you need to comment on it!
I typed my thoughts and the page crashed. Ain’t going to re-type them. Wildest roller-coaster ride I’ve got…
I had it happen to me once, since then I always type out my reaction in a different app, usually I take WhatsApp. It’s just more stable, and after I’m done I just copy, paste the reaction.,
Is the story of Wine and Faifa worth it? I stopped watching the series after seeing the other two couples' stories.…
I only still watch for the small YothaGun moments. I find FaifaWine their story quite boring if I’m being honest. Mark his acting is stiff, he doesn’t really show much emotions, sorry to say for the fans who really like him. Junior is really trying but i don’t know, from the first episode of their storyline I found that Faifa came on way to strong towards Wine, he is a character that I in real life would find exhausting. It’s a bit better now, but I still can’t connect with them. Maybe it’s because I don’t like the fact that they made it seem like Yotha is a red flag, to boast the character Faifa as a green forest guy. Maybe that’s the reason I can’t connect with them. But yeah that’s my opinion so far.
The difference in editing, costume, makeup, hairstyle, coloring in this arc and yothagun arc is soo biggg???????…
It’s clear who New his favorites are! I personally can’t get connected to Faifa and Wine, only reason I still watch are the small moments between Yotha and Gun. I do like the brothers bond they share. But it’s weird that we do not see anything about Newton anymore, it’s like Faifa doesn’t have any bond with his older brother.
Is this drama split into couple like LITA/Fourever You or are they all happening at the same time like We Are?…
The three couples are basically separated by school years. Arc and arm are the first 8 episodes, than in year 2 you’ll see Yotha and Gun in episode 9 till 17. And in year 3 Wine is in his first year and the story between him and Faifa is in episode 17/18 till 24. But after episode 9 you’ll basically see all the couple share scenes. Faifa and Wine have 2 before their story starts. Faifa has had multiple scenes during the YothaGun storyline and Arc and Arm return frequently. It’s separated but also not really, because almost all the main characters are in a sort of student club (I don’t really know how to describe it) so they still see each other during events and meetings. I definitely would give it a try.
If you are on his side, I don't trust you. He's a shallow, obsessive person who takes advantage of drunk people.
Da On freaking started it! Thay whole what if is unnecessary because it didn’t happen! Da On said Jaemin his name and Ju Seong stopped, that is all I need to know. You make it seem like Seong assaulted him, which he didn’t, it was a kiss. No touching, no stripping, no sexual act! If anybody is getting worked up over it, it’s definitely you. Seeing as you are bringing it up any time somebody is saying Seong is a green flag.
If you are on his side, I don't trust you. He's a shallow, obsessive person who takes advantage of drunk people.
Put a sock in it will you! it was a freaking kiss, thats it. Nobody violated anybody’s body. As soon as Ju Seong heard the name Jaemin spoken from Da On’s lips he stopped. I hope you with your Holier Than Thou behavior never makes a small mistake. And if you do please hold yourself to the same standards as you seem to have for characters of a fictional series!
How does anyone still like Seonghyeon after he reciprocated something with a drunk person? Intoxicated people…
I feel like the people who don’t seem to understand it and seem to be confused are the people who were rooting for Jaemin. And they seem to not understand the change in personality. While me personally I saw that coming a since the first episode. There are subtle moments where you can see his real personality, not this mask he puts on. But I do agree with you that we are only half way in, still 4 more episodes, with how well this story is written, there could very well be more twists the next episodes.
I have a feeling that Jae Min loves Kim Su Hyeon and not Da On. Otherwise, why would he do this to the person…
If you ever dealt with Narcissistic people, you know that they get “kick” from the control they have over other people. Jaemin is very typical in that. He likes Da On but not enough to start a relationship with him, he likes the push and pull game he plays with Da On. That game was very visible in episode 2, he initiated contact, but than the next morning pushes Da On harshly away with gaslighting him over him stepping over a line. I wonder if the people still thinking Jaemin is a good guy have seen episode 4, because there it is very clearly shown that he is a toxic, abusive, controlling, obsessive person. He also likes the control he has over Su Hyeon, you can’t really see Jaemin his feelings as real because the people in his life are all just people with which he is playing, his very cruel game with. You ask why would Jaemin do that the person he loves. But that isn’t love, Da On is just somebody who gives him currently “supply”. But for him, mentally Da On is his, in his crazed mind, he thinks he owns Da On. Jaemin can do with Da On what he wants because he owns him and he just temporarily “shares” him with Su Hyeon. Him saying the line “Da On started to go astray proves that. Any sane and normal person doesn’t think like that. A normal person doesn’t have the “If I can’t have him, nobody can” mentality and is actively acting on it.
i feel like this "jaemin was evil all along" twist isn't even really a twist!!! ike obv yeah ofc it's a twist…
You could see it coming, I mean the first 2 episodes gave a couple of hints. Especially the big one where Jaemin asked Da On to stay, laying in his shoulder for comfort, initiating contact. And than the next day gas lighted him by saying Da On is constantly stepping over the line or something of that trend. And asking him to leave in a very cold and detached voice. That was definitely the moment I thought I don’t think he is such a good guy as he pretends to be.
I saw a comment yesterday that said these characters are two-dimensional. I couldn’t disagree more. The layers…
I wonder if the guy who Su Hyeon smashed the bottle on top of his head, was the guy who was hired by Jaemin to drug and SA/take pictures of Da On. Ny mind started to connect them but I’m not sure, because I don’t believe it was Jaemin who was lying on that couch.
Especially the gaslighting Jaemin did. It was Jaemin who made the move to lay his head on Da On his shoulder,…
Agreed! Yet I can somewhere see Su Hyeon having a redemption arc, how crazy that might sound. I can see Su Hyeon confessing and than letting go of his obsession over Da On, maybe moving back to the states. I Don’t see that happening with Jaemin, people like him don’t tend to change. (Even if GMMTV tends to end series wirh fairy tale endings of people doing a 180)
