Relatable, my first asian drama was Devil Beside You which I watched in 2017 and it's not even as long ago as yours but there's no way I could watch it now hahaha. Had so much fun watching this. My only minor complaint would be that I wasn't really feeling the casting for Ran and that inspector Megure was a bit too comical, but everything else was just done right. Before this I watched the first 3 episodes of the 2011 drama adaptation which was just nowhere near as good as this one and that definitely made me appreciate this version even more. Oguri Shun all the way! I think anyone who likes the Detective Conan series would have a good time watching this

Yeah I can understand why it's not bothering others because she can definitely do her part acting wise but it's the image that just bugged me way too much. I could visually see the age difference between her and her costars and her playing as an immature minor didn't help either I was just not feeling it. She was not the deciding factor for me to stop watching tho it was everything combined that I had mentioned. I would like to check her out in a different role some time

Hmm I personally disagree, she can definitely take a role that's younger than her actual age but I wasn't feeling this one. And yeah I didn't finish watching it. What was the reason the mom stayed away?
