This a perfect example of a beautiful journey with a disappointing destination
Really a promising show. It is exciting to explore the science of time travel. The story started with the travellers going back in time to acquire a book of prophecies that marks the end of all time travellers.
Lots of twist and turns, almost all beautifully done. Except maybe the ending, which is very confusing to say the least.
Also, the ending left a lot of questions. Like, why did all time travellers vanished? Even Alice vanished when the older version of the male lead died.
Another thing that really bothers me is their concept of the relationship of the ML and the FL. They used the term dimensions, they claimed that they were from different dimensions. But I'm more comfortable using the term timeline. Doesn't matter what term is being used though, sure they are from different dimensions/timeline but they are still genetically related. And even as the story unfolds, they started to know and to feel their other self merge with their current day persona.
So what does the ending means? If of all time travellers cease to exist, it means that the FL didn't travel through time. Didn't met ML's father and didn't gave birth to ML. In theory he shouldn't exist. But he's alive and living a normal life in a world which is really different. And why does the FL still have the memories of her old life as a time traveller? Does this mean that they are no longer sharing the same genes? Are they supposedly to be lovers now?
Anyway, watched this twice already. I was hoping that things would be clearer after the rewatch. I was wrong.

10 out of 10
This is my first ever review, that I gave 10/10 ratings.Concept was unique and very intriguing. The creator/writers did a great job, making a whole new world for viewers to enjoy. They were also successful in creating relatable lovable characters.
A world where superheroes can go to school, learn and gain friends, face bullies. Where superheroes do the dishes, cook, eat good food and travel around. Do all these and other mundane things while fighting evil.
I would love to see another season.

My definition of perfect entertainment
Story was not perfect there's still some holes here and there, but for me it's close to perfect. Like, I would like to know we're their gifts come from..A fated girl and boy met and shared a tragic past. They survived and thrived. FL has this gift of premonition. Her dreams seems to come true wether she wanted it to it not. She was a good reporter taking a break from work. ML is a good looking straight laced prosecutor. ML and FL met again as adults, unknowing of each other's identity. ML saved FL using his dreams premonition, he too now shares with the FL.
Later on, they've learned that the gift is possible if your life has been saved or changed by the gift. The need to return the favor of wanting to save your savior triggers it.
Their life and love journey is fun to watch. Their work gives an adventure and mystery to the story, makes it a bit more exciting. Their romance is really heart warming. From friendship to falling in love to survival and their quest for truth and justice.
ML was not an overbearing dominant male with cruel tendencies. He's a little bit dorky who loves his suits. FL was not a naive spineless girl, she's brave with a ready smile for everybody. It's refreshing. The actors chemistry was really good too.

Sweet and simple love story
Sweet and simple love story. A bit unrealistic but it doesn't matter, it's still good entertainment. No muss, no fuss. Skipped a lot of the gaming part except the part where they met and married.ML is the typical, dominant male. Good looking, intelligent and athletic achiever. FL is your typical pretty looking, sweet girl next door material. A bit submissive and innocent at times. Every girl wants the ML but he only liked the FL. He showed interest and swept her off her feet.
The fun fact with this one is how FL become ML's girlfriend even before they've met. How she becomes his fiancee even before he proposed.
If you're looking for a profound story to watch then this might not be for you.

A realistic modern day drama...
A beautiful take on a realistic modern day love story. Although most of the actors were new to me, they did manage to give justice to the role. It is realistic to a point, short, sweet and simple. No blood, no death, no evil. The characters were portrayed flawed, adding a little bit more charm to the show. ML owns his world but still longs for love. He has a dominant character, but never cruel. Oh and he hates being left behind. FL is loved by her family but still is peppered with insecurities. She's a straight laced girl with dreams of being a nutritionist. This was mainly because she didn't want to be branded as an easy girl. The love triangle on both sides of ML and FL were non life threatening nor vindictive. Even if their parents were far from being perfect, in their own way, they love their children very much.
Then they met and the magic begun. Their journey to falling in love was sweet, almost innocent like. At the latter part of the show, the mom of FL raised a really good question: Why does it matter how love started? Why does it matter if it's a one night stand or even two? The right thing to do, is to be responsible for your actions. If you love him/her then go get him/her.
The beautiful scenes, the meaningful message of the show plus the music, binds everything together.

The witty lines thrown in was reason enough to watch.
Some really witty lines from time to time. Plot was nothing new. School setting, lots of teen angst, friendship, family and of course young love.Although the plot was typical, it was realistic enough and relatable specially to the younger generation. ML was your typical jock; cool, cute and rich. He already has everything, but he's still desperate for his mother's approval and love. FL was an ordinary girl, loved by her family and friends. She's not weak, giving up is not in her vocabulary. Specially when she had to leave her comfort zone and go live with her father's family.
This is not a heavy drama, nothing profound to see. Surrounded with young artists, this show reminds us the joy of youth and made watching this really enjoyable.

If the creator of the show is crazy enough to make a sequel, then sign me up real quick.
Used to watch horror films and Anime as a kid, seen a few RomCom too but this is the first ever JDrama that made my heart sigh, made me wanna laugh, cry then laugh again. Sometimes wanna do both at the same time.Story wise, it's not that complicated. It's the typical girl meets boy by chance or fate. ML was a straight laced guy that wouldn't know fun even if it hit him on the face. He met FL and fall for her sweet smile and bubbly persona. She's a sweet girl with a loving family. A hard worker driven by her dreams. ML pursued her relentlessly, sometimes a bit creepy but it was just his unique way of doing things.
He's really unique in a way, he has his dominant ways that were never cruel unlike some other typical shows. His way maybe a bit weird but it's sweet and pure.
FL maybe sweet but has steel for a core. She's honest about her dream, about her feelings. Her dream was clear even from the beginning. Back when she didn't like the ML yet, she told it to his face. And when she decided to love, she gave her all, no half measures.
Actors did a good job, good chemistry. Entertaining supporting roles. Short but sweet backstory. And the most important thing, everybody has their own happy ending. If the creator of this show is crazy enough to make a sequel, then sign me up real quick.

A psych-thriller drama made aesthetically beautiful by pretty foods.
Cursed in Love is the English title of the show. But why? It has a happy ending, so why is it cursed? Why not Sakura? Or Bitter Sweet, or Blood and Sweets? Or even something else. Or it's just me being picky. This is a psychological-thriller drama made aesthetically beautiful by pretty foods with just a pinch of romance. Pretty food plus pretty actors. The Psycho-Thriller can be rated as 3/5 stars. Drama wise it is also a 3/5 stars. While romance is just at around 2.5/5 stars.
This show gave the viewers a glimpse of japanese culture when it comes to food, family, marriage and traditions. And then the story turns dark with deceit and death. Deceit by loving someone else spouse, like our main characters parents. Or death and destruction as a form of revenge.
At first, I dont like the ML that much as he was harsh with the FL. The FL is a sweet girl with a thrist for justice, she's even willing to enter into a marriage without love just to give her moms name the justice it deserve.

A bit unrealistic but definitely an epic love story
Sequel begun six months after the firsts installment. At first, it was fun. It feels like the writers were giving the viewers an epic conclusion too.Casts we're still the same, superb acting. With some new additions that made the story a bit more complex almost to the point of being convoluted.
After a while, it became complicated. The story became tiresome; too many obstacles to overcome, too many fights to be fought, too much pain on all sides of the pond.
This story was saved only by the epic love that the main characters has. That, and the fact that they still managed to find their own happy endings. A bit unrealistic but still epic.

Happy ending for everyone.. cheer up pips.
Story was crazy long, some scenes we can do without. ML was a straight laced general who fell in love with the FL from an arranged marriage. She was a strong willed daughter with a strong sense of responsibility with her family and friends.ML and FL lead a life of adventures and struggles, made new friends and settled a lot of conflicts. Lots of subplots, some enjoyable and some forgettable. A bit unrealistic, as everyone has happy ending though. Rewatch value is ok, if you have a lot of time.

A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College

Watchable. Just passing grade.
Storywise, a bit mediocre and typical. A distinguised ML, loved by all eligible female in town. A playfull young FL, who turns out to be ML's bestfriends younger sister. A guy best buddy of FL turned out to be in love with her, and no surprise who is also the bad guy. A likeable sidekicks and their cute love story. Sounds familiar right?Plotholes, I dont know if its right to call it that. Maybe its weak spots, some scenes are just like filler, not essential to the story. I can summarize the story easily: FL entered the academy exclusively for male as there's none for females at that era. Met accidentally and got closer due to a dare. FL thought ML was bullying her and making her life hard. But discovered that he was protecting her all along. They fell in love and caused some hearts to be broken.
Then a bunch of conflicts happend just for the sake of it. Betrayals, cover ups, frame up, killings, suicides and a lot of schemings on all sides. ML and FL even resorted to preteding to have broken up and FL pretending to be dead. In the end they were succesful and had their happy ending.
I might forget this after a few months, rewatch value is also not that good.

Avisala Encantadia: Love Until the End

My least favorite part of the threelogy
Storywise, not as exciting as the first two. Feels like the writers were just prolonging the inevitable end. They just added more pain for the main characters just to get some sort of conclusion for the story. There are also some visible plot holes thats obvious to anyone who pays attention. Like for example, how did Lira manage to get back to the world of the living? Or, how did Odessa manage to get to Devas, when she's an Eterian? Things like that.Acting was still very good, but not the newbies. Sorry.

Even though this one is a sequel, it feels more like a prequel
A sequel or a prequel? It doesnt matter, its still good. Our Sangre's travelled through time for new adventures. What a good way to tell the backstory of the Encantadia Saga.Actors are still very good, they played their part really well. The subplot of each main characters are still enjoyable to watch.
In these chapter, the romance was more pronounced compared to the first part of the story. Take Minea and Aldo's fated love. Then some tragic love story like Cassiopea's parents vs the queen of Eteria, Animus and his love and some more love subplots on the side.
Music wise, I think this is better than the original. It really set the tone of the story. This one was also a very good rewatch rating.

One of the best fantaserye of the Philippines
Been watching this show, for at least once a year it seems. Its a bit a long, filled with a lot of adventures and some filler episodes. The makers of the show, created a whole new world with this one. Started with Encantadia, Eteria and then Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hangang Wakas. Followed by a remake a few years later.Actors of the show made their mark and simply became iconic themselves. They made televiewers love and hate certain characters. Some scenes from the human world, I can do without but all in all, its still quite good.
I feel that the ending was a bit forced. Anyway maybe its just me and well, they had their version of happy ending so Im also good with it.

I'm a sucker for happy ending. This one has it..
I admit, I didnt watch the first installment. Read somewhere that it didnt end well. So, here I am tried this one instead. Pretty slow start to be honest, and a bit boring.Cast/Acting was ok, not much excitement at the beginning but it did improve as the story progresses. I feel like the ML had the quota of crazy with his family. He was a straight laced nice guy with a big traditional family. Amidst all the secrets, lies and betrayal, customs and tradition, in his own way, he loved them still.
FL reflects sweetness, innocence and a bit vulnerability, pretty and talented too. No wonder ML find her interesting enough to propose early on.
The family drama, crime mystery is a bit mediocre for me. It was lacking something. It feels like it was just put there just for the sake of conflict. Rewatch value is not that high.
