A princess who became a servant, a priestess, a warrior, and a tribe leader.

70 episodes in.. super powerful yet so powerless still.

Just like other Philippines Teleserye or Fantaseryes, this one is too long with too many filler episodes. Yes, it has good production. Yes, it had great actors. Yes, it had nice sound track. But it's really really long, so don't watch this is you don't have the time or patience for shows like this.

Amaya is from a royal blood, born with twin snake. Elders and babaylan (priestess), said the children born like this are born to possess great power and has destiny to fullfil.

In order to save her from her fathers wicked wife, she was separated with her mother who is just a lowly servant. She didn't meet her and knew nothing about her until she was already an adult.

Series of unfortunate events happened: her father died because of his wife's anger. Her life turned from a revered princess to a lowly servant after that. In every twist and turns, it's like they're always trying to kill her. Then she rose from rank and became an apprentice babaylan. Then became a warrior and a tribe leader later on.

She sacrificed not only her life but also her love to fulfill her duties. It's really an inspiring story of a great woman of her time.

For viewers like me, who's a sucker for happy ending, this has a happy ending too. Would I rewatch this? Maybe not anytime soon. But I didn't regret watching it though.

Power of four modern day witches

This is for those who misses the OG Encantadia Sangre. Its nice to see them together again, even if they're witches here instead of faeries.

Nice take on their origin of witches. I just wish there's more to the story. Sure they were powerful, almost immortal like and they fight evil. And they live like any other normal mortal, or as normal as they can be. But still, I felt its missing something or maybe its just too short.

Actors are OK, wardrobes good, fight scenes and effects also good.. So, its still entertaining for me.

True love is patient. Ang tunay na nag-mamahal, nag-hihintay..

Originally not a fan of this love team, but this show changed my mind. They really did have an undeniable on screen chemistry. Maybe being a real life couple at that time helps too, I don't know, but both of them and the whole casts did a good job in portraying their roles.

Just like most asian drama, this one has too many episodes. Some episodes, I watched through the recap provided at the start of each episodes.

At around episode 40, I'm so craving for their happy ending. It was a very long ride, from the Philippines to San Francisco to other locations.. their characters did have grown and developed beautifully.

Aside from the scenic trips the show provided, they also managed to showcase Filipino customs and traditions. They managed to take us with them and share their love story, their joys and even their pain. It's quite a journey.

Crime / Suspense / Mystery with a bit of humor on the side

Liked the concept of the show. Crime/Suspense/Mystery with a touch of comedy. Some parts are unrealistic but still entertaining to watch. Maybe the only thing lacking was a bit romance to spice things up. But its OK, the story still manage to make me hooked and entertained.

This show demands attention to details, viewers cannot just skip full episodes or you might miss something..

Love the banter and camaraderie between the main characters. It's a nice change of phase, that this story is not drowning in drama.

Kids that know kung Fu w/powers, whats not to enjoy

This show brings back a lot of childhood memories. Back to the time, when kids play outside to run, climb or jump up and down. I definitely enjoyed watching this when I was younger, maybe kids nowadays would enjoy this too.

Kids that knows kung Fu and has powers, what's not to enjoy? Action packed, family drama and a bit of budding romance. Classic fight of good versus evil..

The backstory for each characters are well balanced. They made the characters realistic enough and relatable to the viewing public. They even managed to inject good morals in the show. It's really made for kids and kids at heart.

Maybe they can someday remake this show. Kung Fu Kids v2.0 would be fun.

Nothing profound but purely entertaining..

I love the fact that this show has pure/clean entertainment. Sure, it's the typical contractual marriage.. but it also managed to inject humour and a bit of innocence. Sure, it has the typical dominant ML and a pretty nice girl next door FL. But also unique in a way, ML was dominant but not cruel, FL was sweet and nice but not weak gullible fickle girl. So it's pretty nice.

The kid was vital to the story. Also the supporting roles are really engaging. Every roles are given backstory to make them interesting and also gave them a room for character development.

Oh, and it also has good OST. A good watch..

Super slow phased story

Super slow phased series. Watched the first six episodes. Skipped to the tenth episode. Watched a few episodes then skipped again. I'm afraid this pattern is a bad sign, I found no interest in it.

Usually, using backstory to build a more engaging characters is a good idea. It also gives the viewers the opportunity to know and empathize with the characters of the story. Making the characters more real and relatable to the viewers. Sadly, the use of a backstory here was just an excuse to prolong the story.

Nothing made much sense in the story. FL left ML due to unfortunate circumstances. After seven years, she finally decided to come home. Decided that she wants to work at her Ex company. The push and pull between ML and FL got so tiring because it lasted more than half the whole show . It turns unrealistic on the latter part of the story. On how forgiveness and acceptance was given all over the place even when it's really unrealistic.

It was really difficult to love the story , with all the bitterness it showcases all though out the series..

These journey is way way better than the destination.

This story is one of those where the journey is way way better than the destination.

I like the scientific approach they did on the time travel concept, even though there's still some holes on it. I like the actors casted here, they were really good.

I like the adventure they had while trying to save the world. I like that even with all the chaos, they still managed to fall in love. Even though its a love that's "You and me against all odds" kind of thing.

I almost like everything about the this show, except maybe the ending. Which is really typical with this kind of genre. It's a bit underwhelming for me.

A brief introduction to the customs and traditions of the local tribes

Familial, platonic, romantic love. Even love for the community and it's customs and tradition is shown here.

From production to casting, it was well planned. It has a really interesting plot to start with. Based on the pilot episode, I thought it would be heavy on the mystical/paranormal aspects. It wasn't.

To be honest, it was a bit draggy and it had plot holes here and there. First would be, what happened to the two brothers? The one that was left alone on the dry land and the other one was cast off to the sea.

Another thing, I thought the part where the FL has this special ability to heal wasn't explored enough.

The message of the story was really strong though. Aside from the obvious, Female empowerment. I think the louder message is about Human Rights. The rights of the minority, that should be protected and not exploited. The rights to education, that should be available for everyone. And even the rights to choose who to marry or to love.

Accidentally watched this movie twice.

Watched the movie twice. I didn't realized that I've already watched it. So, I guess the downside is that it's a bit forgettable.

While watching, I can say that with all it's faults, that it's still really entertaining. The casts did a good job. Movies like this one, is really a gamble. The need for a perfect blend of the past and present should be done well or everything will fall apart.

With this one, the biggest question remains, were they cursed? Is that why they were able to connect through phone calls? Oh well, I guess it's stupid to look for reasons in paranormal psychological thriller.

Maybe I'm too old for this show..

I had high expectations with this show. In terms of fantasy and romanticism, I expected that it would be so much more than "Ibong Adarna"

Half human, half bird who has the healing ability fled to the human world to save her daughter. With this kind of plot, skies the limit right? The possibilities were endless but it failed.

FL is too gullible, easily manipulated again and again. Too soft to be the so called "chosen" one if their race. Too many plots holes to be honest.

She's the chosen one of her race to do what? To be the successor? But she's already the successor, it's her birthrights. To be the savior? But to save them from what exactly? Also what's with Ibong Adarna, seducing the ML to achieve what? Plot holes.. plot holes... Plot holes

Asian Medical Drama done right w/a healthy dose of intrigue, hospital drama and romance.

Complex but not convoluted. The production did good with the progression of the story. Plus, they provided a bit backstory for our main characters.

From the prison which provided mystery and intrigue to our ML's character. ML meeting FL there while she was coping with her guilt over her fathers accident.

From being merely acquaintances/colleagues, to being friends/confidant and then finally falling in love. From almost an unrequited love to a selfless true love.

This show is really entertaining, even secondary characters looks good just like our ML and FL's on screen chemistry.

Victor Magtanggol was Thor's successor. Wah!?

To be honest, I watched the pilot episode then skipped maybe half the show. Too much filler scenes, so I watched most through the recap of the show. Then just watched full episodes of the last few parts of the show.

The plot of the show is based on Thor, the Filipino take of Thor's story and his successor. Maybe it's made for the kids because I didn't enjoy this show. It's too simplistic and too redundant.

Thor was dead. VM was his successor. Loki was still crafty and crazy, beaten by VM again and again and again. Hence the redundancy. Everything is about Loki's thirst for power, and VM's journey of being the protector of worlds, no mystery at all.

If interested w/this one but don't have time or patience, watch the recap at the start

I've binge watch this show, but I've to admit, it has too much filler episodes. I think I've watch maybe only around ten whole episodes, the rest I've watched only the recap at the start of every episode.

At first the concept was interesting, using some Chinese dragon luck or curse plot. Then it became tiresome with its revenge plot again and again and again. The paranormal concept was almost totally forgotten. Which is sad, because for me it was the selling point.

Acting wise, it was ok. I'm not a fan of ML and FL love story. Not because it wasn't an epic love story. It just that I think the ML is a little weak. He grew a backbone only on the latter part of the story. I like the 2nd ML. Sure it's almost an unrequited love, but at least he was honest. I mean his reaction is realistic enough to be believably effective.

If your looking for something light or easy to watch, this is for you

The show was tagged RomCom, crime/mystery drama. As far as the first four or five episodes, there's not enough romance or even comedy to talk about yet. There's a lot of mystery though, and a bit of hint of a crime.

It started really really boring. I don't know what kept me from dropping the show, but I still managed to watch the whole show anyway.

There's plenty of backstory to enjoy but still not enough to explain some things in the end. Just like how our FL shared the same face with another person.

The romance part of the show is a bit scarce. But I like the comedic part and the actions scenes, I totally enjoy. Still entertaining enough to watch on your free time.
