I put this drama on hold for a while because it felt like it was kind of draggy. I finally finished it tonight, & though I definitely wouldn't say it was my favorite drama, it was quite cute. It was also really nice to see Kang Ki Young play a more serious role than the side comic relief (I still love him as those roles too though! But I love seeing actors branch out into different characters).
Japanese movies usually don't get subbed until they go on DVD, which is usually about 6 months after the release date. So this movie probably won't be subbed until April.
I've been watching Thai dramas for YEARS lol. When I first started watching Asian dramas, it was primarily just Japanese dramas. Then I started branching about maybe half a year later to other countries. But for the past few years, I've prefered Thai over most others. I feel more of a connection with them usually, in a way. Like a lot of times they can come off cheesy & cliche, but in an endearing way. ♥
So far I'm really enjoying this show. I'm only on episode 3, but it seems very promising.
I also really love the mentionings of the importance of consent!! Like I know that that should be common knowledge things, but Thailand seems to constantly have shows that deal with rape in a very poor way & almost never mention how it's important to get consent from the other party before doing anything sexual. I'm so glad that this series is breaking away from that toxic & disgusting romanticized viewing Thailand has on rape culture. (I will admit that since my parents walked in halfway through Ryo's story, I skipped every time he appeared & made a note to go back to it since his story so far is borderline creepy with how pervy he is. So I admit I'm not sure what happened for his mission, but I definitely didn't miss the words his father gave him about touching women without them giving permission.)
S T O P CASTING SINGTO WITH ANYONE ELSE HE BELONGS TO KRIS....P E RI OD..
As LION stated, Singto is an actor. Actors play different characters & get casted with different people. How could he grow as an actor if he was only playing opposite of one person? (As an aspiring actor myself, I can tell you that most actors prefer to branch out more than stick to one kind of thing. I'm happy that Singto is branching out a lot.)
Not gonna lie, I lowkey only kept with the series because of how much I shipped Xiaonan & Chenchuan. Can someone tell me if those characters (idc if the actors are different) are in this sequel?
I first saw him in "HIStory" & then again last night in "Secrets in the Hot Springs". I don't know why but he reminds me a lot of Junhui from Seventeen. Either way, he's really handsome & such a great actor! He definitely suits comedies.
I watched this with my sister a & really enjoyed it. Some people say the acting was over the top, but that was more for the comedy side rather than the horror side. I found it to be really funny & I will admit some of the jump scares got me. The plot confused me a bit at first but in the end I think it was a pretty good movie & I'd actually probably watch it again someday with friends.
So apparently the director quit!! Lazy Subber posted it on her twitter. Someone in the comments said the director…
I find it's very possible that all the very unnecessary hate & rude comments from "fans" could have made his depression worse or may have even sparked it. He probably couldn't handle how crappy people are being about it so he quit. I'm not saying this is what happened, however it's quite possible. It's pretty sad & devastating to have something you work so hard on just to have a bunch of people crap on you & purposely want to make you fail.
So glad I was right & picked up on Beer (discretely?) promoting with the cast 'cause I would have been pissed as hell if he ended up with that greasy ass rapist.
I don't know why so many people seem to dislike OffGun's episode so much. That one's my favorite so far! Not because…
Oh, no I get that! I'm just surprised at how many people seemed to not be that fond of it. I guess it could just be because I enjoy body swap plots a lot. Like I'm not even being bias towards them, but I for some reason perfered their episode the best. I love InSun a lot as well, but strangely enough I wasn't huge on theirs. I don't know why, I feel like something was missing? I just don't know what. I liked the closure, but something seemed very slightly off. Not enough for me to dislike it, but I guess enough for me to prefer OffGun's more. Either way, opinions are opinions & I respect everyone's. I'm just suprised I seem to be one of the only ones who loved it lol.
I loved InnSun's episode! I give it like an 8/10. It's cute. If you like the couple, I feel it is even better…
I don't know why so many people seem to dislike OffGun's episode so much. That one's my favorite so far! Not because they're my favorite couple, but because I enjoy body swap shows/movies & I love comedy. It was hilarious & it loved how great of actors they are. Gun is already known as a very well rounded actor whom plays all kinds of roles very well. But Off, someone whom normally plays similar roles every show he acts in, playing a timid & cute role & do it very well made it really enjoyable. You can tell he paid great attention to Gun's facial expressions & his body language 'cause he mimicked it all perfectly. They definitely worked really hard on it & at least to me, it turned out as a 10/10. (:
You can tell Off paid a lot of attention to Gun's facial expressions. I've noticed most of Off's roles are the goofy comedic roles & are usually somewhat similar in personality so I wasn't quite sure how he'd play as Rome. Gun is very diverse in his roles & has proved that he can play almost any kind of role. So I'm very incredibly pleased with Off's acting in this episode. He did very well acting timid & cute. :3
Okay, but Yim gets raped & his friends STILL allow the dude to take him home?! What the everlasting bs is that? Yeah, Tanai punched him, but really? That's all? Don't get me wrong, I like this series, but the fact that they're dismissing such a serious thing like it's nothing is insanely off putting.
As for the writers making Yim's sexual assult into a romance, I don't think it'll end woth those two as a couple. I've stated this before, but from some of their posts on Insta & Facebook lives, there's another actor that seems to "secretly" promote with them. He seems to mostly be around Ellfa (Yim) & he's definitely not the same actor of the two previous episodes. So if Yim does find a different (& hopefully much better) love interest, I'd be insanely grateful. But again, Thailand needs to stop using rape & sexual assult as a minor dramatic plot piece. If you must include it, make it important & serious. Don't wave it off like nothing.

Man, I feel so old!
