same. I wished they can just keep the original actors' voice in it because I know they are for sure speaking in…
they were just behind with editing the episodes. there was never an issue for overseas dramas with airing rights, no matter the language. they are forbidden to air on public streaming platforms in China mainland but not internationally.

Title Sammy's Children's Day Spoiler
Anyone know whats gonna happen next? and why did he refused to join as gang ?
because he doesn't want to be his underling. he doesn't want to work beneath him but be a equal romantic partner and he doesn't want to be involved in illegal businesses. based on the novel I guess Liuyi will agree to have Chusan help turn the business partly legal and Chusan will be only involved in these branches and it will be on a consultant basis, not as official member of the gang.

yes he had feelings, they both had feelings but kept them for themselves. no, the sister didn't jump because of…
yes it's in the novel but I understand why they don't go into this in the series. Liuyi's feelings are complex and in the novel Chusan often gets the vibe from him that his old feelings are overshadowing their relationship.

Man, I’m such a sucker for side couples so I was instantly excited the second I saw them show up lolI think…
the novel has like 6 couples, you don't need to be emotionally invested in them. the detectives aren't in love until the end anyways. it's frenemies with benefits ;)

Title Sammy's Children's Day Spoiler
now I decided to watch this series - although initially I don't know why I refused - but it took me by surprise…
yes he had feelings, they both had feelings but kept them for themselves. no, the sister didn't jump because of that. she was mentally sick, the enemy gave her wrong meds to worsen it. she jumped because she was traumatised in this moment seeing her love being killed.

Amazing episode, I'm loving the chemistry and dynamics between the main leads as well as the secondary leads.…
yes, I read the novel and I'm missing their inner works, too. Chusan has mainly horny thoughts and we don't know much about Liuyi yet. while in the novel you get to know their inner conflicts and motifs. I hope they have a good talk in the next episode.

Huh?? 😮 It was a dream??! Nooooooooooooo!!! That's why Liu Yi seems to not remember ?! Because it never happened...?…
yes, watch it again. they repeated the scene with the lollipop but the stick broke and Liuyi says he should get his own... I assume drunk Chusan then blacked out.

they threw a lot of facts together and created a new story line with it. so it's all more or less true but it didn't happen like this.

Title Sammy's Children's Day Spoiler
episode 5 was a fever dream
I get that the story is too long and it must be condensed, so they throw a lot of scenes and facts together, but this kiss? there was a drunken short kiss in the novel on graduation day but how can this be topped now with the real deal? and that dramatic scene when he smashes the cup in front of the gang? unlikely for Chusan to act like that and embarrassing Liuyi in front of his gang. especially before they even are a thing. and when do we learn about Liuyi and his inner conflicts? when does the audience understand why he friend zones Chusan? all the time the focus on Chusan's horny thoughts. it's getting old. they follow standard story telling now. they rushed a romantic scene to justify a break up phase.

Chusan in the novel doesn't know he's adopted, Liuyi tells him 🙈😅 He doesn't want to be his underling, he wants to be an equal, his partner. nothing to do with his background.

Sammy's children's day plays in Hongkong but was filmed in Thailand, edited in HK. 2 production companies outside mainland. they submitted it to mdl as HK which makes sense as the story takes place in HK, not Thailand. other Chinese BLs have Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore as country as they use a production company there. Chinese BL need a production company outside Mainland. else they can't be aired on official streaming services. Mainland forbids homosexuality in media and it's forbidden to stream them internationally, too. The actors, scriptwriters, directors, etc are usually mainly from mainland. So whatever country a CBL is under, it's just for legal reasons. on paper it's not mainland, so mainland can't censor it.

FortPeat NC scenes are great, but the acting or directing is lacking here. I don't feel immersed in the story…
better watch the Japanese version for the story and acting.

Just rewatched this drama and still came to the same conclusion. He was not any type of hero. He had been through…
He was suicidal and she was kind of, too. she was willing to die to accomplish her mission of killing him. he hired her to die with her but then new evidence appeared that the fire wasn't his doing and they decided to team up. He found his will to live again. he regretted poisoning her but she forgave him. he went through a big transformation. from toxic crazy to humble and loving.

I enjoy it! perfect match for me. she likes her guys still bloody ;) this isn't fluffy sweet romance, more like cool sparring partners slowly warming up to each other. a rascal/sly fox and a mischievous ghost queen. nice banter and naughty for a costume drama 😏
