Looks like there will be more outdoors shooting tomorrow (28/03): I see Nan Yi, He Ping and Zhang Yuehui on the plan… not sure about others.

He has been renamed because Wanyan is a historical name and cannot be used in fictional dramas. He is now called…
I think they may slightly change the role, maybe bring forward some of the info about his relationship with the princess that we only learned about at the end in the novel and some of the more unsavory details won’t make it into the drama anyways.
He will still be the villain, but this being Jeremy, he will give the character a more relatable side and depth.
I for one will never hate his characters, no matter what they do 😇

Who will portray Wanyan Jun?
He has been renamed because Wanyan is a historical name and cannot be used in fictional dramas.
He is now called Xiahou Jun and portrayed by Jeremy Tsui.

Yeah, I think Jeremy is in the second unit. It looks like he’s still off today unless it’s a night shift again. I just saw Cao Jun arrive for makeup…

I don’t know which one it was, I was too disgusted to pay attention.

Well, it’s mainly the director/producer who should be blamed for casting an actress with an unresolved contract…
It seems you are shouting at me, good-bye.

Yeah, you would assume that in this day and age they use CGI for those scenes (I know some dramas do) but just yesterday I saw a clip of a horse having its legs yanked away by ropes for a “spectacular” fall. As a horse lover, my heart bleeds seeing such scenes. Rather than trying to force AI muppets (that nobody wants to see) down our throats in supporting roles, this would be an area where AI technology could actually be useful, but I guess using (and harming) real horses is still cheaper.

I will riot if there r no war scenes filmed for this drama.. if he is a general, they should show some war scenes,…
I don’t think that mass scenes (using a lot of extras and/or CGI) are the sole criteria to determine whether a production qualifies as S+. There’s also the quality of costumes and props, custom-made sets, the use of locations outside of Hengdian, the quality of post production, etc.
For example, if they want to do justice to the scene with the war ship, it will be a massive operation!
Personally, I won’t cry over not having any battle scenes because I rarely find them gripping and worth the effort. They are also very tough on the horses. Yes, they are still use real horses and make them trip by using ropes, which is incredibly cruel to the animals.

Do you think the court is stupid? If the situation was as clear and simple as you claim the case would have been thrown out instead of going into trial. Things are NEVER as simple as people say they are.

I heard that he will be appearing in the opening ceremony of the Beijing International Film Festival. That’s a nice success and good news for the drama, too!
He should wear something in that burgundy colour. It looks very good on him!

Well, it’s mainly the director/producer who should be blamed for casting an actress with an unresolved contract dispute. That was a totally irresponsible decision and disrespectful towards everyone else who worked hard on this drama. Trouble was bound to follow.
While I sympathise with Ju Jingyi’s situation and hope she wins her case against the agency, I think it would have been wiser for her to avoid filming any dramas for a while.
