yeah she's my fav actress but unfortunately a lot of her dramas are a hit or miss for me 🫠 i love her more…
It seems like it. I think she is a good actress it's just something about FP, the acting felt lacking (I'm sure if I continued the emotional scenes will better but the overall felt underwhelming.

I just started this one because of your comment.

I like that the hero's weakness in needing the heroine's rescue is well balanced and coherent with the story,…
Me too. I like the fact it shows she is stronger because she IS even if she was the weakest from the celestial realm. The Divine Hand is HER WORK so like by default, she should be the one rescuing him and I really liked that. I liked so much of their scenes together like when he killed her lmao and when the heaven's didn't forgive him so she tried to check if he is a good guy but there was constant COINCIDENCE that made him look good LMAO that made me laugh because he knew that he recieved bad luck from killing her and was doing these good deeds to get rid of it but she didn't know that and thought, "Omg, he is a good guy to OTHERS except ME! I should forgive him." Like it's so complex and entertaining but then there are parts that makes the writing feel very bland and surface level. It holds no complexity.

I wanted to like Tanghua so badly but it wasn't working.

I'm nine episodes from finishing and I agree with all of this. The side plots felt very bland and like they were…
Exactly. I feel like the heavenly realm had no actual structure? If you reached the last 2 episodes, you will be even MORE disappointed with them because it really shows there is no writing for them. They are just there to exist.

I would like to say I really did like this drama but I also had issues with it.

Let's start with the good. The writer clearly knew what they are doing with the main leads. The male character is so complex and I adore the female character (shout out to my girl Tiffany Tang before I watched Cdrama frequently, I usually would just watch her shows and nothing else). It's very refreshing that the female lead is the STRONGER one. She is strong, she is the one rescuing the male lead, she is ALWAYS there to pick up the pieces that fell. It's interesting to see the girl carrying the show when usually, it's the man that is more powerful and always there to save the day. The switch up is good.

However, what I didn't like where all the side characters? I feel like they are all boring? The writer had some good setup for them but I feel like I couldn't appreciate them because they were just there? Just there to push the plot forward. Like the execution is so weak with them. The weak villain build up and the finale. The way the Demon Lord died was kinda...????? The villains just comical. The side characters... They had good setup like when that guy became a god. It's was good but his introduction and build up is so weak? Same with the weapon spirits? Tanghua, he got an interesting setup with how the ML saw him as complicit to the crime but then every scene with him is boring asf.

The writers strongest strength was the main leads and that what kept me going for the entirety of the show.

I enjoyed KmLm a lot because LXY was so good in that drama. The story changes a lot which gives him room to show…
Just watched the first episode and I'm on my knees omg. A red flag but he was sooo good.

Damn I just watched the first episode and OMG???? WHAT? strong first episode that I have a feeling it's going to be hard to keep that quality for the rest of the episodes.

Similar? That's great then because I enjoy vengeful male characters.

Gonna watch this for Yang Zi. I recently just watched 3 episodes of Flourished Peony and her acting there was very meh. Made me question her skills because in Ashes of Love, while it was good, she was meant to act like she had no emotions so it was a given that the acting was bland. It fits the role of her character, you know? I decided to stop watching Flourished Peony. Somehow, I stumbled upon Immortal Samsara because I wanted to watch ANY show with two sisters like Starry Love and found Yang Zi there again. However, I loved her there. I loved the character, her personality, the acting was refreshing so now I'm confused again LMAO

I'm really liking actor LXY. I'm thinking of giving another drama his a try, just wanna know which one got the great plot and characterization. I was thinking of Kill Me Love Me. It had some hype around it last year but I didn't give it a try because I didn't care about either main actors.

Have you ever read or seen anything related to the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" by Luo Guanzhong. Slaves being…
Sure, even slaves can be villainous. It still doesn't change the fact that they created the slave so the female character can look great despite having zero time no personality. The slave who's mere purpose is to make a rich, noble woman look good

I had a feeling this is how it would end, and honestly, it makes sense. But somehow, I lost interest during the…
I like how Kdrama writers want to make a realistic and grounded ending when NOTHING about the show was realistic from start to finish with the billion targeted deaths. Kills me every time when they do it. It makes more sense for the audience to expect a dramatic and cinematic ending for a show that was displaying that.

There won't probably be a second season. But there are threads starting that won't be tied off neatly because…
His brother dying (maybe coma but the way the mom is hospitalized and not by his side make it seem like he died) is a
kinda a miserable way to go down. They couldn't stand having a moment of peace for the last time lmfao

He didn't kill himself. He left Daesan, which was his life long goal. As it harmed him both physically and mentally.
I really like how you connected the scenes. It's does make sense when you put it together like this. I connected it differently as him not killing Jang Seon for this reason, because it's not him, and because the scene were he was crying
in emptiness while being a president. His dreams and family been crushed and he is just a shell of his former self. He kissed Eunnam one last time as farewell and then possibly chose to kill himself that's why he called it a "Break that will take much longer than last time.". At least that's how I connected it and interpreted that scene. Your interpretation though makes it a much more happier ending for Dongju.

I wonder how many people caught on to the fact if there is no season 2, it means Dongju killed himself at the end. That's why they kept it an open interpretation. If he read Taehyun's message, he will live for him.

I’ll only watch seson 2 if Donju doesn’t end up with her. I want him with hacker girl or no one.
I can tell you from now he definitely have no chance with hacker girl. She competent but he knew her much longer and never fell for her. So I would say no one is the best shot. If we need forced romance, a new girl should come in but that's not happening ever.
