After a while I got tired of her beating him up. It was too much.
It gets a pass from me because geninuely, she didn't agree to get married to him. The royal family approval to marry her kidnapper really put her in a position where she can't even leave so she won't offend his "majesty". Based on this circumstance, I can hardly say Leshan will look at him like a he is the good person especially considering he made a bet early episodes over the finding the eldest sister and wanted to forcibly look at her face. She beaten him enough to compensate and I would say they match each other especially when he push her around too and getting his payback. It's all temporary for me because I know she will eventually take his side and fight for him.

I actually had that vision too lol a sequel where the sisters in the modern day are going through struggles and each BILs have some sort of position with Yang Xian being the son of big company from a generational wealth, Shen a detective/police officer/politician, DYX a lawyer/someoe underneath a politician, Master Chai owning a big، successful business, as for 2nd husband.... The deadbeat husband that cheats on his wife that nobody likes. I mean it doesn't even have to go this way, it will be cool to get a unique settings but the same personality.
Omg? I thought I have to wait 6 more days to see the rest of the episode but they all finished airing today? Well the subtitles are kinda late so I'll probably need to wait a day or two to get it all subbed but I can't WAIT to marathon the last 6 episodes.
ngl i still love shou hua and yang xi story, yes their story was more heavy on the angst compared to the other…
I loved Shouhua arc and I love angst but for her arc, I wished they added more breather moments in between and gave more scenes after the reconciliation because DYX is completely smitten and IS the type to act cute to get attention. It's a bummer for me that it ended that way but I still enjoyed it a lot. Like you said though, it's preference. People who liked cute moments and detective/little mysteries will like 4th couple, people who likes wits, smarts and pranks will like the 3rd couple more. People who like angst and melodrama will like the 1st couple and people who like enemies to lovers will like the 5th. There is a type for everyone.
Episode 30 was a blast. I need a spin-off of the brothers-in-law alliance. I'm now wishing there are 12 sisters.…

The idea of them beating him under just seems so funny to me "Outside, I may have authority but here, my wife is the 4th." They completely fell in line into the brother-in-law hierarchy which is 3rd brother, Master Chai, in the highest authority, 1st, DYX, in the 2nd place and 4th, Shen, taking 3rd because that useless 2nd husband moves no one let's be real here. This development is fascinating.
I also LOVE how mama took Yang Xian in as her actual son. She no longer gaf about what happened, she there to pamper her Son-in-Law over even her daughter! I like how one small word of kindess was enough to move Yang Xian and he IMMEDIATELY started relying and calling mama Li for any help. She is completely smitten but so is he. She already his mom too.
She didn't come to get bullied, she came to bully! I had so much fun watching her beat everyone up and it seems it's not only me but even her husband was enjoying the show. He gets extra points for defending his wife in front of his family and friends even though he is shitty person too but it seems like he is against his family somewhat.
Not gonna lie though, I bursted out laughing when I saw them keep swapping around drugged cups not knowing they were giving the drug to themselves 😂 talk about digging your own grave.
I like how Shen didn't ask any questions and immediately went to action and prepared a wedding. Haode finally got her proper wedding day.
Speaking of wedding... what a chaotic wedding day! No way they just started fighting in the middle of the road. I support my 5th brother in law stealing his woman because that "husband shyer than bride" Mr. He will kill my Leshan shine and personality. He is NOT suited for her. His family will destroy her. She is not meant to follow tradition and customs!
And, and, I support Leshan beating him to bloody plups for that. Get em gurl!!! I support woman's rightful violence. He deserved it. She looked beautiful and stunning. My baby girl slayed. This is the arc I was looking forward to seeing since episode 1. Leshan never stopped being my favourite since that episode.

And with that we concluded Haode and Shen's arc *claps excitedly* love it! Love it! Even though they resolved their issues, you can JUST TELL he misses her already. He is deep in that love that he was pushing away aggressively. He completely erased my image of him from The Double. Amazing acting from both Ke Ying and Liang Yong Qi.
I know a lot of people hated the fact you can't see the other characters as much with every new arc but I think that's the beauty of it? When DYX came and threw a tantrum and scolded him while he sat there in SILENCE... Those are my brother-in-laws that I know. I miss my gang. I miss my Master Chai too. Need them back for the next arc

First, I want to say I'm proud of my girls Haode for grabbing that sword and protecting the family and Leshan for being soooo smart and throwing one diverage after another to distract her enemies. Also for throwing her pride to ask from her worst enemy, that asshole fifth brother in law, for help. Using that moment to trap my girl. Oh I will eat up each scene up when she gives him that payback.
I'll give him some credit because he actually did look concerned and didn't hesitate to kill. He was definitely raised in the royal family. Seems like he got his lesson from last time but he still have that vile personality (I know she changed him).
I also want to say Qiong Nu really is smart and it shows in the way she picks on fast from when her sister felt off and when she found out it's the lisense was the trap. I can't wait to see her near the ending.
10 minutes into ep 25 and I'M SCREAMING!!!!!??????? AHHHHHHH! What was that? I usually dgaf about kiss scenes but excuse me??? I'm about to rip my hair out? Haode making the moves first... And she ate too hard. Let me go repeat that again lmaooooo scene was really good while still maintaining that modesty.
Lmao sis was just trying find her adopted sister a husband and he was jealous over her being on that new Ministry (a possible love triangle for adopted sister?) I need him to get back him memories because I can't anymore. He is adorable. Haode can't even hug him for a moment before he wanted it over and done with. He started escaping... He is just not used to affection? It's cute! When he gave her that jade bracelet and was like, "Don't over think it.... don't over think it!" I think we got the right idea sir.
She is so bubbly and affectionate while he is like touch depraved but in a way that he pushes it away rather than embrace it. My favourite dynamic. It's really going to be hard to beat this couple.
I let this show marinate a little bit and it is as sweet as ever. The slow burn between Li Haode and Shen.... It makes the little scenes between them so much sweeter like when he came to rescue her from his grandmother pushing heavy household duties or when she tried to please him to give mercy to the victim. My favourite couple so far.
The amount of criticism this show is getting outside of here is crazy 💀like sometimes it's okay for fictional stories to not be completely flawless with the most perfect romance ever especially considering this time period.

Most insufferable men are the ones who only wants the direction they want to happen despite the fact the suggestion IS his wish.
