My thoughts over 21

Li Haode, Li Haode, I'm afraid she already stole his heart. It's already obvious he found some of her antics cute before but he wasn't willing to accept her so I doubt it was going to go anywhere. What really brings her beauty is her honesty. She could have listened to her fifth sister and taken advantage of him but she chose to honestly tell him the truth, knowing it will put her in a great disadvantage. This is a big deal for someone like him. He is such a righteous and honest person. He is all about justice. What she did is exactly what he needs! A rarity he won't find easily. As a couple, they are suitable for each other.

I also can't wait to see her solve bigger cases. What sets her apart from her sisters is her determination.

My thoughts on ep 20

I... can kinda see it?? When she ran barefooted and he followed her, lifting her leg up.... Oh. Ohhhhhh~ go get him girl! Tame him. Haode got bits of her oldest sister wisdom, second sisters love desire to tame her loved one, third sister tricks, and fifth sisters childness. She has the combination of all of them like a secondary personality for her. I'm invested to see how she will get this man.

And the fifth sister... She always been my favourite and I'm glad she followed her sister to help since they closer to age. I have a feeling her arc will involve feeling lonely because everyone is too busy, married and no longer got time to spend or play with her anymore and she will meet that jerk who will be that banter/playful partner to bring her back.

It's a requirement now to be part of that family 😂

The next 9-10 episodes will show us what they are planning to do with them. I'm also curious to know how this develop and going to start now.

I'm going to watching the next episode soon because I'm so curious how their dynamic will be.

Like honestly, Zhang She mom dying trying to seek for justice broke my heart and I wonder what these sons were thinking? Did they think the mothers won't worry if they were life and death situation? It's disappointing but also realistic. A man never thinks about the sacrifices a mother does because they never assume she will this far for him, her son. Men, men, men ... They really do take it for granted but I'll give him enough grace to know he was ignorant and never thought it would go that far...

My thoughts on ep 19

And finally Li Shouhou arc ends. Thank god he kneeled down and joined the kneeling brother-in-laws. Now he should go beg his step mom too for all the pain and anguish he did to her. I'm happy to see the eldest daughter getting a chance to smile and enjoy a cute romance even though the arc was overshadowed by the amount of schemes and grievance.

Anyway, Seeing all the siblings just finally having happy moments... I love all my girlies! And I just found out who the 4th brother-in-law is... Omg.. he seems very... Intimidating?????!!! He is in court? He gets a chance to speak with his majesty???? (I didn't look at the poster guys and I always skip opening because they spoil the whole show). Am actually shocked this is the guy who will marry the 4th sister because she kinda childish? She is more wise than the 5th and she pulls through in certain moments but this feels like a very unexpected pairing?? I guess I have to watch and see how it will develop. Maybe her innocence will soften his heart.

My thoughts on Ep 17

What the hell just happened??? Everything is in ruins? I feel so sad for DYX mom. "Being blind, I couldn't even take my own life." Just for this alone I can't forgive DYX! He needs a few slaps before he gets accepted back. I was willing to forgive him for everything because I knew he wanted the best for the Li family and that other shitty Minister family is scheming for their downfall so it was expected BUT YOUR MOM!!! I need him on his knees begging for forgiveness.

But lmao Master Chai. "From no on, Du Yangxi is my enemy." He was so quick with it!! He is so hilarious in unexpected scenes.

I'm open to the idea of second love interest but he genuinely had zero chemistry with Kangning. He is too much of a scholar and she didn't have the proper time to actually interact with him face to face. The aspects that he liked of her is the literature (which was set up by the eldest sister) and the music which she did have but wasn't the biggest plus point for him considering Eldest sister can play music too with her Zither. He honestly have better chemistry with the 1st sister. It's fine to not like the couple though so I'm not here to shame you or anything. There is 6 girls so plenty of other couples to enjoy and may be up your alley.

Exactly. Her previous husband was a good man but it doesn't seem like he pampered her or even was overly romantic with her. It feels like her previous marriage was very formal and respectful friendship of sort. Like he helps her and she helps him and that's about it. So now, she is about to learn that not everyone is like that.

My baby girl, Li Shouhou. She is a highly qualified person, very responsible, crafty and very knowledgeable but her faults are in the fact she doesn't know how to actually "love". She goes too much by the textbook. Her husband passed away? Now she needs to follow the textbook and treats it like she is supposed to mourn her whole life for him because that's the only way she knows how to live. Now that DYX is here, his attitude surprise her and sometimes, she doesn't know what to make of it. They have the very eldest daughter/youngest son dynamic going on. He is more free and does things the way he wants while she is confined, doing things the way they should be rather than how she wants. Either way, the romance is a little adorable when she actually lets him get his way. I'm going to assume her arc will be around till ep 17-18 until we get the next sister story.

My thoughts on EP 15

The 2nd Son-in-Law is so useless omg. Lately, I've been letting go of his past behaviour because at least he seems to be working on himself somehow but he still a bum. He just knows how to create trouble. Gotta give it to Master Chai and DYX for being always calm and able to create plans. Master Chai just knows how to scheme lmao he somehow twisted it around so DYX feels responsible to fix it. Out of everyone, he is definitely more forgiving for mistakes and always looking for solutions.

I was thinking the same thing but then I remembered the time period and this is as authentic as it gets. Like I might even go as far as to say they were a better representation than what men that era were like 😭 I know you are also implying for modern day standards and that's also true LMAO

They made that set up with him like throwing up and she getting offended but it's not fully hinted

Oh yea, the fact they didn't find his body means he will show up eventually. Not sure what sort of plotline they have for him but probably amnesia for now.

I'm cracking up at the idea that one by one there will be more brother-in-laws in the alliance. Once the next sister finds someone she likes, they will find him, beat/push/help him into submission then adopt into the group until the next sister finds herself a husband too LMAO at the end of the show, we going to be having like 6 brother-in-laws (it includes the adopted sister).

I cried when Li Shouhou basically sacrificed herself to be the bride so her sister can be happy with the man she loved. It was kinda clear then and there that she didn't value love. That she suffered enough that she no longer looks forwards to having love. She just wanted her family stability above all else and she would let go of herself if needed.

I thought I was going to be indifferent about DYX but he has been pretty adorable in ep 13. He really wants her to love him, to be with him and I'm hoping Shouhou can finally let go of this unrealistic standard and let herself let loose.

I believe it's fine to have both because so many dramas have many fleshed out and well written dramas. They don't have to cater to your or even mine 100%, having variety is good. Kdrama, Jdrama, Cdrama have so many strong female lead who needs no help but they also have the female lead that needs help but contributes in other areas and the female lead and male lead who contributed equally whenever one is down. Limiting these dramas into one narrow view will just create more boring stories and dynamics. If you really dislike het ships then I just recommend to continue watching gay dramas/stories instead of giving this generalization that's been long dead just because you don't like soft and weak fl.

Please pleaseeeeee let my girl Fu Ling say the truth and have Bai Shou find out the truth!!! The sisters can't stay apart longer than this? I need them to reunite... I don't want the truth to come out, when the Fu Ling about to die because that's what it seems like it's heading towards.

My thoughts on 28

I like how Bai Shou let Fan Yue know the distinction between her happiness over Jing Yuan is purely out of respect and gratitude while for him, it's of love and care. That was actually a very sweet moment. I would like to say that Jing Yuan... Looks hot in purple eyes and violet aesthetic. Let me see this demon lord soon please 🙏

Chong Zhao... Took 27 episodes for him to finally do something decent. This man has been nothing but a disappointment for me. He has been so consistent in delivering nothing, breaking one record after another with his subpar writing. He lived up to be mediocre. I've never been so UNIMPRESSED by a character in such a long time. The worst part? I don't think his character is going to improve beyond this. Him "doing" this for "Bai Shou."... Glad she put him in place each time. He done nothing for her and he has the opportunity to DO something. One thing that Bai Shou needs the most!!! The one time he is NEEDED, of course he did nothing about it. It's soooo Chong Zhao. Like that's the Chong Zhao I know. Delivering nothing. But at least in this episode he saved Fu Ling. The one decent thing he done throughout 27 episodes.
