EP 16

I like how Mr. Zhang have been string along for so long by our protagonist. He is being used as a pawn by Yan for a while now but he doesn't mind it because he genuinely believe in justice. He believes in the justice system so firmly that he just let himself be pulled with them in their journey and I just appreciate his character a little more now than before. I feel like even Yan have learned to like him. He usually have his walls raised up so high but he been lowering it as witness the honesty and earnest efforts put by Mr. Zhang and Daunwu.

I also like how even our antagonist Cui Shijiu, have been perversing so much, trying to beat Yan at his own game, but also learning the cruelty of life and what peole are going through. I feel like she learned some compassion along the way and isn't as bitter over the loss as she used to be. Instead, it feels like maybe her outcome will be different. We will find out eventually if she will remain a sore loser or become a better leader.

Title Black Out Spoiler
I finally finished this and I would like to warn any new comers when they watch this, to NOT READ THE COMMENTS…
With that being said, my negative would be the ending. I feel like I didn't feel that true sense of justice I was looking for. I wanted to see the actual criminal get treated as an outcast the way the main character was. It wasn't as fulfilling just seeing them in jail, I wanted everyone to vilify the criminal. But we didn't get that so it was underwhelming a little bit.

The acting was so great. Everyone pulled their weight so well. I would say the weakest writing had to be for the main character and actor Yohan. I expected more from him. I feel like I didn't get the full extent of the rage of someone who was wrongly accused. Even his dialogue seemed so off. It feels like a script written when it came to him. Again, that's where it was underwhelming for me. Everyone else, however, amazing writing for them..

I finally finished this and I would like to warn any new comers when they watch this, to NOT READ THE COMMENTS SECTION.

I can't speak too much about this without spoiling too much. So I will just say, it was a amazing show. I started it on the fence because I don't like crime shows, they are so predictable and repeatitive. This show gave something completely different. It was phenomenal.

As for the negatives, I'll put it down below in a spoiler so don't read unless you watched the show.

I'll give this a 8/10

I feel like I didn't quite enjoy it but neither did I hate it. I find it quite interesting that people in the comments kind of missed the strange message. Because people tried so hard to find meaning and closure about what these "creatures" were. Why do you think Jinsu made that big lie and why do you think it worked? Because everyone wanted to know why these demonstration happened just like the viewers wanting to know "why". The world ended up structureless with 4 different types of ideology like Arrowhead, New Truth, Sodo or Government. I'm sure there are people with zero association but most follow these four and that's what cause it to be a lawless zone. Everyone wanted to rule the other. They wanted their vision how the world should be THE world.

Either way, I give this 6.5. Solid but needs S3. I'm curious to know what caused each resurrected to have special power. I think it have something to do with fear or desire.

I don't get the hype at all... I loved the FL in "Happiness" but in here...
She was phenomenal in Moving, not sure what she is doing here but maybe because she have less experience or it could be because the writing is just tragic for her here.

I remembered I never got to finish this show so I am rewatching it. First 5 episodes some of the strongest, like every episode was a finale and the writing was so amazing that I'm shocked I never finished it back in 2016 but then I reached ep 7-9 and now I'm struggling to continue just like before because of the awful romance. The romance is downright pathetic and the self pity is making this bad. They ruined half of the show the moment the FL biggest concern is romance while everyone else lives are at risk.

Title The Story of Pearl Girl Spoiler
Ep 9

I'm liking how Duanwu is becoming more and more like Yan but even though she can read and understand his moves three steps ahead when she really puts her mind to it, Yan plans ten moves ahead. I'm not falling for his trap. Account Wei death's is likely to be fake, he is colliding with her to corner Cui's family into the deepest hell. Their greed knows no bounds, they'd didn't realize they digging their own graves and I know he is counting on that. All his moves are calculated but despite that, I'm liking how Duanwu is still a tender girl who isn't planning anyone's downfall, she is just planning how she can thrive. Either way, I'm curious to see what she will become. I feel like the only way she can be vengeful like Yan is if Shrimp passed away.

Ep 5

My girl really need to suffer to learn how to survive. While the concept is the harsh reality, I hate it because it kinda rewards or should I say take away accountable from bad people. In this case, she got set up by someone from our "team" and she got whipped, redeemed herself yet he STILL wanted her punished AGAIN? I usually like mortally grey character but I'm not feeling him so far. I know he is trying to increase her convictions, teach her how to maneuver out of the situation on her own and fight against all odds, I'm not dumb, I see the set ups. And in a way, I can accept the lashes and the option to redeem herself because it teaches her something but giving her another punishment? It feels like he wants her life to be hard just because his life was hard. She was literally raised a slave. She define the meaning of struggle. People don't need to always learn things the "hard way".

Anyway, I went off a little rant but I'm here for my girl only. She the only thing keeping me watching because despites all odds, the writing does push you to support her as much as it can and it's working.

I've watched two episodes and her friend is such a coward. Like you are in that solidarity together and she was vouching for her every single time, taking all the dangerous tasks to free both of them yet she caved so quickly over a rapist? Duanwu didn't even kill the guy. She just framed her as a murderer for no reason. That scene disappointed me because I know she will be bitter over Duanwu for a long time that she might target her in the future over it. But it's all her own fault???? Because she was freaking out, blaming her instead of running away. I'm just a little annoyed at that portrayal. Loyalty really is fragile.

They have some cute moments towards the end on their solo journey but yeah, they never get super developed but…
I don't know how old the writer is but I've seen worse writing from senior writers. It seems like the second couple are just there to fill the gaps

Please tell me the second lead couple become more interesting? Their writing is the only thing NOT on par with the rest of the show. They are just too bland not even in a good way. Maybe they're just too similar so their dynamic is boring but I do believe it could have been more interesting than this.

Mu Sheng thinks negatively about demons and really doesn't give a fk about them but the moment she speaks positively, he MELTS! It's so adorable and I like how she absentmindedly talks well about them because that shows she isn't thinking about it. I love this couple

EP 11

"Who allowed you to harm her." And I screamed! Like the way he just took off the restraint. It wasn't long ago where he would rather DIE than take them off but he did it without hesitation for her!!! He really couldn't stand seeing her get hurt. And when she tied his hair back, that was a moment.

funny cuz i became obsessed with her in love with fairy and a devil,, but she is even better in this though, she…
Yea, I've seen 16 episodes and that role doesn't suit her at all. She is unable to pull off a role like that with her skills and probably baby face. Although I believe no matter how baby face you are, you can still pull it off, she is just not there yet.

I heard Dylan Wang isn't a great actor lol but he was great in that specific role. I haven't had an opportunity to see him more beyond that because none of his projects interest me.
