I don’t know how many time I’ve been scrolling past the title “Kill Me, Heal Me” in the past and then finally, last week I started to watch the drama. I recently started to watch other dramas that have recommended this one so I thought I would give it a try at least, even though the trailer did not appeal to me from the start. And here I am, totally sold on the story. It is hard in the beginning to get into the story because the past is such a mess but just stay put for a few episodes and then you are too curious in what actually happened 20 years ago. I usually don’t like when the plot and the past is too messy, I don’t like to many flashbacks and a too messy family with too much messy family history.

STORY: I really didn’t like the story in the beginning. The psychological genre gives me the creeps just because it touches me so much so I never choose to watch those dramas. I often get too teary eyed. Cha Do Hyeon, what an interesting character, non- the less his other 7 personalities. It is hard to do a story presenting an illness. The psychological genre is a very sensitive genre, if you handle it wrong the drama will be really bad but If it goes right, then you have a really good story to present. The best thing in this is the chemistry between all the characters and the personalities.

ACTING/CAST: Cha Do Hyeon played by Ju Sung is really good. It is amazing how good he plays the 7 different personalities without dropping the main characters characteristics features. In this mess of tears and emotions that are very confusing with a dark past you have the fun part there too. Here the actor Park Seo Joon does an amazing job as the older brother Oh Ri On with his humorous characteristic features together with Cha Do Hyeon. I fell in love with Hwang Jung Eum’s character Oh Ri Jin. From the first look of it she acts before doing the thinking but then you get to know the character and see how much thinking she put behind her actions and how much work she puts behind everything that she does.

MUSIC: Auditory Hallucination, I have sold my tears for this OST. Just by listening to the music I start to cry again and I can’t stop. Combined with all the emotion scenes and story with this music just breaks my heart, literally. Adjusts perfectly to the emotions. The scenes and the moods has it’s own music themes. The past childhood scenes have one and Shin Se Gi together with O Ri On has another, making it easier for the viewers to adjust the emotions to the scenes and the drama becomes a little more predictable on what’s going to happen and what is happening. Every scene has like a signature music.

REWATCH VALUE: OH MY GOD! It’s a must, yes, yes, yes, of course you need to rewatch if not for the sad parts then but for all the fun scenes.

OVERALL: A bit too much flashbacks making it a bit too messy but overall, I love the story and it is actually one of the best dramas I’ve seen so far. The chemistry between all the characters are amazing and I’m dying of laughter at the funny moments.

WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR SEASON 1

From the start I hated the second season. But after half of the season (don't know how I could continue watching, suppose i was to curious) I started to like the drama and at the end I had surrendered. I can’t remember how many times I have rewatch this drama or how many times I have cried over it.

STORY- It is so sad and heartbreaking in the beginning that I almost dropped the drama right away but my curiosity for what actually happened to some of the characters made me continue watching and then I also couldn’t stop watching when my favorite actor was acting. Jin Chang Wook as the new instructor and trainer Chang An with a very special view of training and pushes the team and Qi Bai Cao to their edge. I also feel so sorry for Fang Ting Hao played by Chen Sean, it’s amazing and so heartbreaking how deep his love is for Qi Bai Cao. I feel that in this story there is so much about changing and development for almost all the characters. Not in just fighting but how they are as persons and humans and how they see each other either as friends or enemies.

ACTING/CAST- I’m so sad that Yanga Yang couldn’t film in this season I missed him so much, especially with season 1 ending. Jin Chang Wook was the one that healed my wounds. His acting is flawless as always. But this time I think that Chen Sean is in the same lead now. Fang Ting Hao’s broken heart was very good played out by Chen Sean, he did a good job with the feelings, even better in the second season than the first. I also should mention Qi Bai’s best friend Fan Xiao Ying played by Tan Song Yun, I liked her acting skill, she was the funniest one to watch. I can even say that I like her character more than Qi Bai Cao, because she has this innocent playful mind and makes them end up in some troubles but with an innocent mind and does everything for her friends, even giving her biggest love away to her best friend and even be happy about it.
Not to mention Qi Bai’s proudest opponent from the start, Kim Min Joo played by Jiang Yi Yi. I like her fierce determination to defeat Qi Bai and how much she changed from feeling pushed down and humiliated by the matches that she lost against Qi Bai in the beginning and actually taking that as a challenge to get better and that some day defeat Qi Bai fair and square, without any bad feelings.

I really liked the new Qi Bai Cao, she is so much better with the facial expressions than the first one. I think that she expresses less anxiety than the first actor, Hu Bing Qing. The new Qi Bai Cao even showed more strength psychological. She could take more in a better way even after what happened in the first season.

MUSIC- The music was the best. It took out the deepest feelings. It really did a big thing in the drama.

REWATCH VALUE- Absolutely! As many times you can! Just because the second season is even more cluttered in the begining than the first season so you need to watch it again to get all the details. If you miss some details you will not enjoy the funny scenes nor the good scenes and you will note understand why good people do bad things. (just hinting to things in the drama)

OVERALL- the 2 season is so much better than the 1. At first you may not like it but trust me, it gets better, just watch it until the end. But I say the same as in the first review of season 1. There are too many episodes, the story is too long, I would have drop this one if it wasn’t for my curiosity. But this time I really think that every episode was worth it compared to season 1 where I think that they could have cut down story a bit. But in the second season they really needed every episode, but maybe they could have made 4 seasons instead of 3 so that the first and the second didn’t get so long.

Wow! Totally love this one!

This is the best drama I've seen so far among the 200 dramas I've seen so far. This one really left me in tears. The story line is amazing and it doens't get to confusing and the characters doesn't get either too brave or too helpless. It holds an almost perfect balans.
I don't really like when there are to many flashbacks but here it is good.  The music is fantastic also.
I literally don't have words for how much Ioved watching this. I would watch it over and over without getting tired of the story. And the ending, wow, just saying!
I should recomnd this to anyone who likes fantasy and romance . I never thought that I would like stories with mermaids and merman but as you see it doesn't matter what kind of creatures there is in the story as long as the story is amazingly good you would likely like the magical creatures in it.

If you liked this one I am sure that you also would like "The legend of the blue sea" which is alos an amazing drama with just as good actors and story, I can even say that the music is even better there.

Actually, I fell for the sweetnes between the characters and the comedy, but I hesitated a lot before watching. I didn't like the whole think with the divorcee. Not that I'm against it but just the emotions around it. But after having watched the drama, oh boy what I loved it.

The amount of epsiodes is good too. For me less than 16 is to short becasue then the story isn't going to be well played out and if it is over 25-30 episodes then they story is to long and they are dragging it out to much and in the end you have forgotten how it all started and the story loses the tension. I also think that when there are too many episodes and they tend to drag out on the tensions then it is hard to make the final really good or that thet put to many obstacles in the way for the main character to reach it goals so you give up on the way watching the drama.

STORY- It was a really good story if you like it to be near reality. They didn't go overbord with what you actually can do in real life. Some can think that it is a minus but I liked it. It is very similiar to the American drama "Grey's Anatomy". The plot is not the same but it circulates around the main role who is a female and how she gets through life with love and work. The difference is that in "Emergency Couples" it's about how the main characters has to find a way to heal the old scars and at the same time work together. When in the American drama they start out sleeping together but just like in the korean drama they find each other at their new workplace.

For me, in korean drama it tends to be to much around the family issues more than around the couple and often I think that there is to much and I get bored watching the families ruining the life of their childrens realtionship weather it is a good or bad relationship, I feel that the family butts in to much. But it was just enough of that in this drama, so I really liked that and it had a very nice ending as well. I don't like it to be to much of "and they lived happily for the rest of their days" or a big cliffhanger that leaves me heartbroken and depressed for weeks until I can fnd another drama to drown my sorrows in.

ACTING/CAST- Daebak! Seriously, with the emotions and facial expressions over the top, the actors did a great job. I'm all for the crazy acts and funny faces which they all did really good. I especially had a weak heart for Yoon Jong Hoon as Im Yong Kyu. His puppy facial expression was reall good not to talk about Choi Jin Hyuk's (Oh Chang Min) crazy expressions. He and Song Ji Hyo's (Oh Jin Hee) chemestry was very good shown. The same goes for Clara who played Han Ah Reum, her facial expression was as good as Yoon Jong Hoon's. Escapially for the heartbroken scenes.

MUSIC- The music was okay, not the best. I didn't pay so much attention to it so it couldn't be that great, but after all it was okay. It didn't add much to the feels.

REWATCH VALUE- Totally worth rewatching. I would rewatch it over and over just because the were so many good parts where you could feel the chemestry between the characters bad or good. The acting was really good to, so I would reawatch it just becasue of that.

OVERALL- A really good drama, the only thing that I would want to change is the music maybe. And I would recommend you to watch "Grey's Anatomy" if you liked this drama.

This story seriously!

This is for real the worst story and acting I've seen so far and I have seen a lot!

First; the story is bad and doesn't have a clear read line to follow. The characters are  just too much. I am not an author but i have been writing novels for many years and even I can tell that I can write better stories and script than this. This I can compare with my first writings.

Second; the acting is bad, each character just seems to have one feeling or on expression each. I feel that this becomes very monoton and very predictable. Okay if the female lead is weak for everything but seriously don't over do it.

Third; they are overdoing most of the acting.

I'm sorry but I can't really say that I liked anything about this and I wouldn't recomand it to anyone. Maybe just to compare acting skill and story line. But seriously if this could air I could easily write many stories and scripts and get them filmed.

The music is the only thing that I can think that is okay.

This wasn't really the kind of drama that I looked for in the beginning but I started to watch it and really fell for Yang Yang who played Ruo Bai. I had already fallen for him while watching "Love O2O". I came to like the relationship between the characters and got really riled up during the competitions scenes.

STORY- It was an okay story, but sometimes the story felt messy, like they pulled in too many strings so many times you got confused but in the end, you would understand more. There also a bit too much things in the air that didn’t get sort out properly according to me.
I liked how the female lead was determined not to let go of what she though was right and wrong. I also liked the triangle love drama, well it was four, not three to be exact. What I felt that I missed was that it sometimes made to huge time-lapse, I wanted to see more of the training in martial arts before the matches but then understand that it wouldn't get exciting to see the fighting if you knew all the tricks from the beginning.
The story itself was pretty good but I thought that the female lead, Qi Bai Cao played by Hu Bing Qing, was too much of a scared cat in some situations, I felt that It went against her own character sometimes. Too anxious feelings for that character. She is that girl with that determination to prove that her teacher is innocent, she works really hard for her believes but in other situations where she really should show her strengths, she lets the male leads around her take the punches. You will understand what I mean after watching the drama.

ACTING/CAST- I haven't watched so many C-dramas so I haven't seen so many of these actors/actresses in action before, just Yang Yang. But from what I've seen it's pretty good. Even though I like actor Yang Yang I felt that he could have shown more facial expressions when needed. Of course, he couldn't to many times because his character Ruo Bai often had a poker face on and tried to hide his feelings from everyone. But at times when those he loves gets hurt or himself, I would like more expression, for a better contrast to his ordinary poker face. On the other side, we have Hu Bing Qing, the opposite, where I feel that she expressed more than enough feelings, especially when she felt hurt which was almost all the time. I also know that her character was like that but sometimes it was a little too much.
I really liked the acting in the matches, that was when the expressions on almost everyone was the best.

MUSIC- the music was good and it really added more and stronger feelings in the drama.

REWATCH VALUE- I would watch this over and over because there where so many details that would be easy to miss and sometimes the story got a bit messed up and was hard to follow so it would be good to watch it again to get the story right.

OVERALL- with that ending, wow how could you not want to watch season 2. But I understand if you would drop this one because it had to many scenes with too much tensions and waiting. The good and happy moments didn’t always weigh up to the bad moments. It is a bit long, I usually don't like dramas over 25 episodes but I didn't dislike it that much, but I didn't like it very much either. They could have cut down on it, especially with that kind of ending. Overall, I really have difficult to tell my feelings over this drama. It is a kind of love-hate feeling.

Actually, when the season 1 was over I felt a little betrayed, the promising things in the drama didn’t show up, I felt heartbroken but determined to know how it would go, so I gave season 2 a try. See my review on Whirlwind Girl 2 to know the rest.
