"The police does not protect the citizens. They protect the law".
It's my opinion that in the U.S., where I reside, and likely in most other countries, the majority of police protect EACH OTHER. Strict enforcement of the law is pretty far down on a LOT of cops' priority list. It's like a club; they are mostly concerned with covering their asses, promoting their careers and doing whatever the hell they want at any given time. The percentage of previous military personnel and other authoritarian, arrogant, beligerent personality types is way too high. There is a lot more I could say but I want to keep this readable. I have formed this opinion over many years of direct and indirect contact with cops, as well as from a lot of research. The U.S. doesn't need to "defund the police." The U.S. needs to "re-fund and re-organize and re-prioritize the police," starting with getting rid of all the psychos. It will never happen. They would lose 1/3 to 1/2 of their personnel.

Doesn't your chart show viewership going mostly DOWN, overall from 10.5M to 6.5M? I don't get it.
Ummm...I'm here plenty. You are not understanding me at all. Your VIEWERSHIP TOTALS for each episode mostly go down as the show progresses. I'm not talking about specific dates, I'm talking about the order of the episodes and the corresponding VIEWERSHIP TOTALS. THEY MOSTLY GO DOWN. lol I don't get what is hard for you to understand about this, but whatever. I'll let this be my last attempt to get through to you. Happy New Year.

I liked reading your comment and partially agree with some of it. The production and writing is below average…
Thanks for the reply. The lead actor on TOATS used the same, scrunched up "sad" face every time he wanted to look like he was crying. I used to laugh out loud sometimes when that was the last thing I was supposed to be doing. I often wonder if Thai BL-makers think the audience will soak up anything they throw at us, no matter how little effort they put into it.

As I've said, I thought Nanon was excellent and hilarious as the nerd in My Dear Loser...laughed my ass off at him. But for some reason I just don't care for him otherwise. Who knows why? Relatedly, I've seen some Youtube videos of him recently; I had no idea they were trying to make a K-Pop type musical performer out of him...I don't think it's a good idea. I felt embarrassed for him.

I am one of those few who found ATOTS boring and ITSAY/IPYTM creepy as hell. At least I liked the acting of both…
See, I just don't relate to or enjoy "slice of life silliness and sweetness" dramas, and I think the acting, except from Ohm and sometimes Nanon, is just horrible here. And the plot lines with the usual gang rivalry and the soccer stuff, is so repetitive of what has been done to death before that I just roll my eyes. The absolutely stupid gang fight that caused the paper-maiche' bus stop to fall over was beyond ridiculous to the point of absurdity. Bus stops don't fall over when someone falls agains them. They are made of concrete, metal and wood, not cardboard. That's just one example of the types of things that make this feel like a junior high school production to me.

ITSAY and IPYTM are at a much more cinematic level, aimed at an older audience, and I found Billkin's unrestrained acting style amazingly engaging, except for one scene where I think the director allowed him to get carried away and they should have cut it earlier. I saw a face that showed almost constant torment over what he was experiencing, all of it new to him, and the internal struggle against that. Maybe you just don't like the shape of Billkin's face or the way his mouth hangs open at times. lol Sometimes things like that can be off-putting to particular audience members. But man, I love those shows. I was tied in knots most of the time in a good way and that final hillside scene over the beach in ITSAY is one of the most iconic in BL history.

OK, well, we don't share much in the way of tastes regarding BLs, but the world keeps turning...

This is not the best drama ever made clearly, it's very fun to watch, it's exiting on the same moment you watch…
Well, I can't agree that art is "dying," or "morals" either. But they both are always evolving. Not sure what you mean about there being "less and less meaning to everything" either, but thanks for sharing your thoughts. And yeah, I just don't get the feels from Nanon and Ohm AT ALL, which is what makes reading all these comments interesting. I think this show is aimed at a younger audience, not a more mature one.

I have no idea what this comment means. I know it airs on a weekly basis, but the viewership totals you show above start at 10.5M and end at 6.5M. Even if it's over two weeks or two days, each one remains the total viewership for that episode, and your numbers mostly go DOWN.

I would say this series is good, overrated but not terrible... I watched it for the novel and Ohm and i stayed…
I don't think I've even heard of "Not Me," Darliing. I will check it out.

I really wish you find a BL that suits your taste and sorry that this is not for you.
I enjoy toxic and disturbing relationships or whatever in films and series. They are what makes it challenging, exciting and enjoyable as a plot. What I don't enjoy are plots, gay or straight, where there is physical violence involved but the victim keeps going back for more and it is never resolved. That is where I draw the line, I suppose.

Plus, I didn't find Tharn and Type's relationship to be "toxic," in that within a very short time they were both getting something they wanted out of it, and I found its evolution to be entirely plausible.

confession: i rarely feel so hyped over a bl series as i view it like other genre and most bl kinda feel flat…
I enjoyed Nanon immensely in that series where he was the lead and a complete Nerd. I thought he was genius. But here I don't care for him much at all and do not buy him as a romantic interest at all. It's a lack of chemistry between me and Nanon, I guess. :)

When it comes to the acting, Billkin and PP can go home. I only remember a few faces Billkin showed us throughout…
Wow. I could NOT possibly disagree with you more about every word you wrote in regard to Billkin and PP and ITSAY and IPYTM. There was ONE time I thought the director let Billkin get carried away and go on too long with the sobbing. But that's the director's fault. I DO agree that this show and those two are completely different genres.

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few BLs I like a great deal and that meant a lot to me when I first discovered the BL universe.

I Told Sunset About You
I Promised You the Moon
TharnType
Make It Right
Together With Me
Love Sick (BL cut)
History 3: Make Our Days Count
Grey Rainbow
Like Love and sequels
Obsessed
NightTime
And a few more I can't recall right now...like I said, my tastes may have changed more than I realize. It's just strange to dislike a show that so many people love and especially feel zero chemistry between two actors so many others get major feels from. :)

It's all good.

It is fascinating apparently to be one of the few people on MDL who think this series is terrible, especially when I read the comments slobbering all over it and rating it as better than "I Told Sunset About You," which is madness. lol I'm still FF-watching for Ohm's body and charisma, period. I've given up commenting on how bad it is, as there is really no purpose to it. So...amazing to so firmly be in the "no" category when most people are saying "yes." I was sort of in the same place with "A Tale of a Thousand Stars," which I thought was sophomoric, while most others liked it. Oh well.

My BL standards have definitely gone WAY up since I first found this world 18 months ago.

hahaha...this is a great example of what you can get away with if your casting is on the mark. The main lead, the object of his plan, and the doctor too, all have a nice, attractive vibe about them and I don't mean physically though they have that too. The main guy is funny as hell but let's face it...this is silly and ridiculous and stupid and yet I'll be watching the whole thing. Best scene so far is the gratuitously long ass massage, lol. In Asian BLs it seems there are ointments for everything, including bruising on your butt from a too vigorous squeezing. That guy has great legs and butt. This is a case too where lack of a budget doesn't really matter much. The interplay of the characters is charming enough on its own that it's easy to look the other way when financial contraints make cheap sets and stuff necessary. That doctor's office...lol. And that's the youngest doctor I've ever seen.

I guess I'm just not in a place mentally right now to enjoy this for its full length. I liked the first half-hour and the lead male, but then I just started getting bored. Perhaps I've watched to many bloody Korean thrillers to get interested in the fluff right now. Dropped.

Meh. Disagree. The film was much better BEFORE the twist came along and ruined it. The conceit that the author…
People make terrible grammar and writing mistakes all the time, Stating the readily obvious is one of them and no, I try not to do it. Not even for you. I'm guessing you also like to write "needless to say..." and then proceed to say what you just said need not be said, am I right? Nah, you're not worth a block. You might write something else I want to disagree with or mock.

WOW. ONE OF THE BEST CRIME THRILLERS I'VE EVER SEEN, and I'm VERY picking about thrillers; they're not really my thing in general. This thing is off the charts of awesome. My god, nobody does fight scenes like the Koreans. SO freaking realistic and exhausting to watch...in a good way. Lee Kyun Sun has a nice way about him: A total badass, but not an asshole about it and you know there is a good heart in there, which makes this character so sympathetic no matter what ridiculousness he is up to. I loved it! I think I might actually watch this a second time. What a great story, and no Tom Cruise in sight, thank god.
9/10 - Now that I look at the score, why is it that low?

Oh...wanted to say that it was beyond refreshing that this movie featured ZERO hot, naked women being tortured, raped and murdered by psycho serial killers, another kind of thing Korea does well, but that I am sick to death of. The sadistic impulses of the screenwriters/directors/producers who make that shit are really disturbing. When was the last time you saw a naked, hot man tied up and covered with blood being tortured to death? Exactly.

Anyway, again: This movie gets a 9/10 from me.
