It really is a shame that SM hasn't pushed Donghae as an ACTOR rather than a singer over the last eight years or so. I watched this first 18 mos. ago and never forgot my terrifically strong impression of Donghae as a talented, natural and charismatic actor with real screen presence. Now I see his "OK" videos/songs on YT where they keep pushing him as a solo act and it's just not happening. He could have been great as a film star, but for some reason I guess SM disagrees with me. It's not too late, but he is 35 now and that's definitely a late start if they want to let him focus on the acting.

What about him do you find so captivating? To me he's always the same character and here he seems like a kid pretending to be a business man. It's kind of funny in that way. In no way does he seem to actually BE the grown person we're meant to perceive him as.

well, she was his saving grace AND his worst nightmare. She just would NOT shut the fuck up. Pissed me off that she went to the cops of her own accord.
Man, this movie just did NOT know when to end. I thought it was over about five times and then it started up again...Christ. With a good editor and a director who didn't think everything he came up with had to be included on the screen, this would have been pretty astonishing and wonderful. It was at least half an hour too long. And as much as I appreciated the girl's unending encouragement of her idol, by about 3/4 way through I thought he might off her just to stop the talking/screaming, which like the movie, was unending. :)
I liked a lot about it but it's bloated. Good acting from the lead dude. Pretty much carried the film.
This was a great idea for a two, two and a half hour movie, but to stretch this out to over ten hours? I don't think so. The teacher is a great actor, I totally buy into his character. Some of the kids not so much. Maybe I'll come back every few weeks or so and take in another episode, but I can't imagine binging this as I do with series I really like. And there's a limit to how much Japanese scream-acting I can take in one sitting too. Also, I'm kind of sick of bratty, bullying, entitled Asian high school students right now. lol
