“Saimdang, the Herstory” retells the story of Shin Saimdang’s ingenious art skills and tragic love life. Lee Young Ae will be playing the role of both the art professor from the modern ages and Shin Saimdang. The plot will shift back and forth from the past to the present as the professor tries to discover the mystery behind Saimdang’s diary and a mysterious painting.
At the press conference, Lee Young-ae said, "There's a romance storyline with Song Seung-heon. I'm doing this in ten years. It made feel nervous. Song Seung-heon told me he was nervous when he saw me. I also felt nervous and made mistakes filming. We've postponed filming important (love) scenes until we become more familiar to this. Those trembling (out of nervousness) even could be seen on the monitor".

Historical figure Shin Saimdang (born October 29, 1504) lived in the 16th century Joseon and is one of the most respected women in Korean history. Her artwork is known for its delicate depictions of natural subjects such as flowers, butterflies and fish. She was not only a poet and an artist but also the mother of Confucian scholar Lee Yul Gok. She managed to realize her dream of being an artist in a time when women's roles were strictly confined. She was the first woman to appear on a South Korean banknote.
tvN has postponed 'Answer Me 1988' final episode by one week. "'Answer Me 1988' has decided to skip the airtime on January first and second, 2016. The substitute shows have not been decided yet". As the result, 'Answer Me 1988' will end on January 16th not on the originally scheduled end date, January 9th".
The airtime allotment for MBC's new weekend drama, "The Flower in Prison" has been delayed. An associate with MBC told TV Report on December 4th, "Drama "The Flower in Prison" was originally planned to begin right after 'My Daughter, Geum Sa-Wol' completes next year. However it will be a bit delayed". The associate also said, "Once 'My Daughter, Geum Sa-Wol' has finished, another drama will be aired in the interim" and "The airtime allotment has been delayed for "The Flower in Prison" due to some issues related to completion of the filming set". "The Flower in Prison", which was originally set to go on air in March next year will begin in May instead due to the internal issue.
