Does the novel have a happy ending? Would like to know before I start this drama. Spoilers are fine.
From my understanding they have changed much of the plot in the drama from the book so the drama may have a totally different ending than the book. The beginning is different than the book. So no one knows how this drama will end.

I noticed that they have given Yang Zi very simple makeup, in Ashes of love they gave her really beautiful makeup with eyelash extensions that made her eyes pop. Here they have really downplayed her face, I don’t know if this was a purposeful decision but it’s very clear.

And irrespective of their beauty, no one can emulate the charm of Yang Zi. She doesn’t have to be the most beautiful because she is is always the most charming.
