I haven’t watched the drama nor do I plan to after seeing the reviews and ofc it's for personal reasons....…
This website isn’t a place for politics or religion. it’s a place to ESCAPE from that. Bringing religious and political bulls***t into this space is wrong. If people have problems they can politely leave a comment saying “this show isn’t for me” instead people are writing walls of text and leaving fake 1 star reviews and taking over the comment section. So no we don’t have to be sensitive in this space which is to be able to ESCAPE the same toxic conflicts that permeate other social media.

I started watching the series and saw five episodes. Overall, it's pretty good: the humor works well, and Kim…
it’s a fantasy show. she’s a psychopath because she’s being punished as a result of her previous life. Nothing about this is based in reality and nothing should be limited to what’s “realistic”

Then don’t watch. Turn it off. This isn’t hard. No one is forcing you to watch !
I’m “suspicious” because Islamists are crashing out with unhinged comments threatening to c*t people’s heads off over a TV SHOW.

ok 😂😂😂😂😂

no one is mocking your religion or culture. You should be flattered someone thought it was interesting enough to provide inspiration for a Fantasy Drama.

Ah yes, as if Christianity is not ridiculed enough. What an ignorant, hateful comment. Why bring in Christianity…
Are you kidding? do you know how many Kdramas there are villifyinv Christian’s and making Christian’s villians. Seriously. Only Muslims get unhinged about FICTIONAL tv shows.

They brought the whole concept of "iblis" and tried to romanticize iblis in love story, and used the quotes…
You are the ignorant one for not knowing that every religions lore has been used as inspo for storytelling and drama. Islam doesn’t get some magical immunity. get a life.

Which religion are they mocking?
do you understand that’s the problem. You don’t c*t someone’s throat because they said something. Thats not how being a human in a civilized society works.

Title Last Summer
Dear Hong Rang was a 10/10 work of art.
The story was about two broken, abandoned, abused people who found unconditional love and healing in each other. That’s the story. Amd that story was beautiful and moving and touched anyone who understood that was the central point of the drama. Jae-Yi’s character didn’t blow with the wind. She was very solid and firm in who she was and that’s why Hongrang fell in love with her. From the directing and cinematography to the musical score to the acting of our main leads it’s was a masterpiece and a heartbreakingly beautiful story.

ive watched so many bad dramas this year, but this one managed to be one of the worst.
just goes to show you. To me it was a masterpiece about two abused and broken people who found love and healing in each other in a sea of dirty grimy people.

The ending made up for a lot for me. I didn’t feel butterflies throughout, even when he kissed her in the mid episodes because they didn’t really develop her side of the love story well. His I think was developed well enough but hers, they kept her too cold and unromantic for too long so that by the time she realizes she’s in love we’ve missed out on too many episodes that could have given us much more angst and butterflies. I agree with the people that said this one could have benefitted from more episodes. All in all this was a VERY nice binge watch with basically no filler and I don’t think I fast forwarded once. I LOVE that she got her staff back, even if it’s their reincarnation without their memories, it made me shed tears of happy. I would have liked to know how the king showed up in a perfect modern suit instead of his joseon clothes. But overall that was a very very happy ending for me.
