Not a bad show - but poor Sung Joon. Why do they keep giving him these tightly wound straight arrow roles? Just let him be a regular guy without all the childhood trauma. This is like the fourth in a row!
This movie did nothing really for me other than introduce me to LJK as a young man. Boy, he was blazingly hot even then! The plot had me fast forwarding quite a bit, though.
As lightweight as dryer lint. Poor Jin Se Yeon (Yoo Yi Ryeong) - I know people give her a lot of guff for her acting so I hate to complain but - she's a beautiful sweet looking girl with a lovely smile - who absolutely can not act.
I think I'm going to have to come back and write a review for this one - it's such a mix of terrible behaviors mixed with great characters. The plot - yeah, not so great - but Chompoo as the lead is a darling apple cheeked heroine. I totally believed all the guys fell for her!
Finally finished this - it was a nice mishmash of Chinese and American style police procedurals and thrillers. My only complaint really (okay, except for removing almost all the sex scenes that are in the novel) is the weird English/Chinese combinations. It seemed to vary in situations - I didn't care which technique they used to convey the use of Chinese with English speakers and vice versa but they just needed to stick with it.
Kind of a draggy lakorn - although it was nice to see most characters and plot get wrapped up. I liked the natural look that the heroine had - she wasn't made up all the time. I wouldn't call this story stupid but just written broadly. You knew where every character stood in the plot. And, while I know this is a little dated, I don't think the writers really understood how a website or a passcode really worked.
I've was lured in by a fabulous Substitute Princess mv on YTube. That and Chris Wu's ears. After finishing, I can't fault the actors - they were actually all quite well done characters - but the writer should be fired. The last episode was all flashbacks and sad goodbyes - to me, that's a sloppy production.
There's a really cute (but unsubbed) OST video for this lakorn on YouTube on the Ch3 Soundtrack Official channel - but I can't figure out who sings it. It's a female singer who looks very much like the actress Sperbund Urassaya. Any ideas?
