The good part of this show is that shows strong female characters. The President of Tenants is a very realistic, real life woman, and the show gives her credit as it *is* due, such women DO run the world, they make sure everything runs smoothly.
And FL is well written. She is shady to some degree, but also has a strong moral compass and she is smart and well spoken. She is a great role model for the kid and for everyone else. It is nice to see a female character like that in a kdrama. For a change :) lmao this is a big change. Sexism is one rare fault of kdramas, so I am glad it is being overcome.
PS - Letting go of sexism and letting people eat and have normal weight - might help S Korea get their birth rates up again...dont you think? It would be a pity that this culture of wonderful storytellers just goes extinct bc they are all being too skinny and oppressing their women. I wish them to survive and thrive

A small detail like that is like frosting and cherry on the top, it makes all the difference. It seems small but it is extremely significant as it makes the drama rich and alive and realistic and memorable
A good actor, script/dialogue, camera and/or music can make it, but ideally all of it, like was the case here, with the actress leading that special magic effect

ep 7 was kinda downbeat for me but ep 8 had some amazing scenes and events, esp the romantic scenes are some of the best ever Hopefully we find out what happened in the elevator

This drama is really good on so many levels. It is fun, it is deep, it is comical, it is satire, yeah even spookey, it is a good thriller and psychological drama, great romance, great family and business drama and social commentary, and very positive role modeling. What I call a "real" i.e. authentic kdrama, not a counterfeit Kwood as is more and more common.

What made me not so happy is that ML was too quiet and serious in several last "chaelbol plot" eps. I love ML character bc he is so LIVELY, so ALIVE, so EXPRESSIVE, so refreshing. A real person. And I LOVE that he communicates with FL and that she too is a solid realistic person (well minus the ghosts) and that she too communicates.
Luckily he is more of his lively self in ep 8.
I really really really appreciate seeing a "real person" as the ML. I really dislike the hype of poker faced, stiff MLs, regardless if they are a psychopath criminal, an agent, a surgeon, a CEO, etc Just a bunch of very unalive men ... and soooooooo boring, Men are NOT robots. And those poker faced roles are such 1-dimensional men, without any complexity or feelings, and their only "acting" is to fight and act as adaddy / guardian, keep saving some stupid woman. Such disgusting sexist propaganda
I really really really appreciate seeing a strong FL, with a good script, written as a person with common sense, brains, integrity, clear communication. And an actress who can act complex and diverse stuff, in a big range. Most old time FLs are stupid naive damsels in distress so their only facial expressions are anxiety, fear, confusion and hitting ML as a sign of liking him... Soooooo boring sexist propaganda
