my mother was hospitalized for a while so I fell behind on dramas - and cannot watch most of them now.
But this one is still interesting, and actually, even more so.
REally good acting and script

yeah! what an improvement after 100 Memories. From that I learned that it is director and script writer who can totally shut up a good actor

I havent watched since last Fr when my mother ended up in emergency room and hospitalized.
I have no interest in watching anymore :)
bc my mother is a narcissist and a sociopath and sometimes psychopath, a chronic liar gaslighter manipulator,
so I had to turn into an INSPECTOR and seek the truth in everything, to keep myself sane, as |=I was my mother's sole caretaker 24/7.

So I had to watch dramas to stay sane - bc now I see in retrospect that kdramas are very rare pieces of visual arts that portray functional, loving families and families that DO sort out and solve their own problems, by individual efforts and collectively - so to me, kdramas over the last years were the SALVATION, to see some real people and real families - and broken ones too - and to dissect everything and UNDERSTAND and find the more objective truth of what is going on. Also, to see how different ppl think and to recognize the patterns of false thinking of my family versus patterns of thinking of more functional people. So I was practicing on kdramas so that I could use it my life.

In this drama, HY is a perfect sociopath with psychopatic traits. In retrospect, my mother is actually a mix of DumbMi, now I see the similarity - the proud ignorance and arrogance, lack of learning abilities, always avoiding any action and self responsibility, lack of brains - and a very diluted version of HY - my mother is not that smart, so she could not plan to hurt someone... and also I think she had more heart and would not kill or steal DIRECTLY - but she was a chronic liar and very self serving person and WOULD let you go and die under the bus without thinking, if that was more convenient for her -

my mother is like DumbMi, she would not lift a finger and would let everything just slide, regardless how much she was jeopardizing and endangering you....

I intellectually understand sociopaths https://www.recoveryplusjournal.com/2017/10/the-empathy-trap/ but it is a totally different thing living with a gaslighter - who is your own mother and has been like that all her life.

Now my mother is gone, so nobody is gaslighting me, so suddenly I am at peace and have no need to watch dramas.

I might see you later, but it is summer time, it is time to be outdoors :) I made a beautiful flower/medicinal/herbal garden, so colorful and lovely.

So maybe until later, when the weather gets bad lmao or whatever.

the most scary thing is that so far I have not found an article that helps you to prevent sociopaths from playing cat and mouse with you

remember scenes in earlier episodes where king visits her in the peonies garden - and she basically tells him off? and then he tries to give her herbal potion

King used FL while it was convenient for him - to spy on, control, manipulate, harm, etc ML - and then the king was going to get rid of FL, and for that, he created gossip to generate reasons to get rid of her

you know, i am agreeing with you, which is sad, bc i am a fan of FL actress
but for some reason she is too taken off her feet in scenes with the M.... i dont know why, i can just say what I see -
as if she just .... likes him or something, she is definitely frazzled smitten, swooned, not focused - whatever it is, something is off , she reacts too much to ML to the point of forgetting her role and it seems to be personal, like a woman who has a crush on a guy. Seems like he makes her heart flutter and then she acts in ways that are not natural but rather strained bc she is trying hard to hide it. Something like that.
Again, this is just something I see / feel, who knows if it is accurate or not

I like 3. I think it is the classiest the most sophisticated, with the best plot and BEST ACTING and actually the best humor.
Seasons 1 and 2 are not that funny. Sorry but I have totally different opinion than you :)

even more than 2. I think acting in 3 is better. Well 3 is not perfect either but it is very charming and acting is the best of all 3 High Kicks

In 2, FL older sister is a MAIN character and has sooo much time on the screen but her script is totally stupid, so her acting is ... stupid, she is just a bad actress and the script is too ... dumb and then the acting is so boring. Also the surgeon .... his role is too dumb and his acting is bad.

The ending of 2 makes no sense - is is unbelievably dumb - they are having a heavy duty psychological conversation while driving a car in heavy rain... And the FL is just 100% dumb... and the surgeon... giving her a ride.... Just... does not make sense.

I found HY actress..... in 2022, she was a rather ... hm.... rough/nasty FL in kdrama High Kick 2 you can see her at the start, trying to help her constipated daughter. Her husband there is a ditz

After watching few eps of High Kick 2, I realized that that was the second drama I watched after Pinocchio, my first drama, I watched those about 10 years ago!!!! the two kdramas that opened the door to kdramas

Watch older kdramas and you will see how much worse they got, trying to appease audience that came from Hwood tastes
There are real kdramas and then hwood concepts with korean actors. AND UNLESS YOU WATCH OLDER KDRAMAS, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

BC THE WHITEWASHED "KDRAMAS" ARE STILL BETTER THAN HWOOD BUT VERY VERY FAR ACTUALLY TOTALLY OPPOSITE FROM REAL KDRAMAS

Why ppl complain about bad ending in Season 2? and why do you think it is good?

that's the lesson - to see yourself as one of the 7
and to be able to look beyond external appearances
and to self reflect upon why you disregarded his inner field of flowers

yes .... I forgot exactly how it was portrayed but I think I saw it in earlier eps

I see what you are saying, and of course she will need the time to accept it esp since it is her boss... and it will be fun to see how he persuades her
but .... I wish she falls soon, it will be fun to see them on dates etc They "play" together very well

they will probably hide their dating so you will get fun that way :)

i am 100% surprised that NOBODY in his household even tried talking with him.... they just told him to zip up and stop misbehaving... or that they are disappointed and shocked ..... but that does NOT count as "talking".
Even BH was just threatening him, not talking with him. BH was able to get SR to be rational for a few minutes.
DumbMi was never able to say a proper sentence to anyone.

And it is surprising that his family did not send him to mental health professionals after he did the kidnapping.

This is a clear case how this "anio!" SILENCE AND/OR LIES OUT OF "POLITENESS" LEAVES THINGS TO ROT IN THE BACKGROUND AND CAUSES MAJOR DESTRUCTION. They all left this kidnapper just to be on his own, i.e. they gave him a green light to proceed and also left him to HY to swindle him, he proceeded to bigger and bigger crimes. This is SO DUMB bc they all know HY wants to use him and that she is a masterful con artist who always wins ppl over.

Ma, Oh and Kang families are portrayed as super dumb. Not strategists, but DUMB, and that is the fault of the writer, to lack the skillZ to make a better plot.

***The easiest cheesiest most terrible cringe plot is based on dumb mistakes of the characters. *** The writer and whoever approved $$$ and making this drama are at fault for producing such script.
