Ep 77 boxing LongLegs vs ShortLegs is one of my fav scenes
Both actors are amazing
and LongLegs has matured quite a bit

I bet Shortlegs will come back from Rwanda to LongLegs

Dr. Yoon is quite a character, he emotionally strings women who like him... He takes the CherryPlant chick to a concert at night.... he takes ScooterGirl on a trip .... etc

Why was he crying in front of the snow picture and thinking of Scooter Girl? was it bc of compassion of a healer, or bc of romantic interests.. ? I am on ep 85 so I will find out later

In any case, Dr. Yoon is a player, emotionally speaking
And the karmic lesson is profound - just like kiddo ScooterGirl is kissing up to a "father figure" more mature Dr. Yoon, LongLegs is kissing up to ScooterGirl...

LongLegs has no chance with anyone bc he is soooo immature... but also... ScooterGirl has no chance with Dr Yoon bc she is too immature, still a minor, and always, 16 yrs younger than him... he is a father figure to her...
LongLegs is actually her real partner for life but LATER when she is over her father figure crush and after LongLegs becomes a mature adult
LongLegs does not even understand why Dr. Yoon is a great choice for a love partner
and why he, LongLegs, is not

When I was in highschool I shipped Jong Suk and Kim Ji Won. After rewatching it as an adult, I kinda understand…
Later, when JS grew up to be a man, she might have come back to him, bc Dr. Yoon was so much older and so much more mature, they are not a really good couple for life. Dr Yoon needs an adult woman of his caliber.
But KJW had to start with him bc he was a "bird of the same feather"- very objective, positive, kind, with integrity, and doing things in the real world to make the world a better place - a good man with integrity, compassion, common sense, and hard working
and JS was pretty face spoiled selfish brat, totally unfit for relationships. However, he grew some with her and by the time she came back from Rwanda, maybe he was mature enough for her
and also he is a substitute for her father

As @Shinubi said, Sourface fully transformed into Little Satan.
So there is a full Satan family - She-Devil, Dracula and Little Satan.
Everyone has angel and devil side, which always fight for dominance. Everyone always has at least one atom of angel active in them, and can be redeemed, but if they walk too far into hell, and esp if they are WILLINGLY walking to/in the hell, the chance of their redemption is lesser and lesser and the cost of redemption is higher and higher. At one point, there is no coming back.

Little Satan was a relatively decent person so far bc his adoptive parents are, and he had good luck to meet SH, so JH's angel side was somewhat "fed" and alive, however... JH just lived in the Lawyer-Professor house and was never truly close to anyone in the family, and bc they are shallow, they did not notice anything. JH was secretly keeping his evil side well "fed" and active, kept to himself, and chased his ambitions. never truly close to nor considerate of anyone... .

JM came around and her kindness and warmth activated JH's desire to experience kindness and warmth, however, since his evil side is active, he wants to "get" JM and "have" her.

Since JH is a loner and does not receive any external help with his inner states, it was so easy for the super duper phenomenally good liar / con artist HY to swindle JH and fully activate his evil side and transform a cold, cruel, careless JH into a full blown psychotic criminal Little Satan, fit only for the psychiatric ward jail.

The little good that Little Satan has is from his bio dad, who is inherently a good, decent, helpful person :) but also a Dracula who helps his loved one - the only one - HY - in every way, including murder, torture, etc.
Dracula does not treat JH as his son nor seems to care about JH at all.

And She Devil - does she really care for her Little Satan or she is just using him and will toss him aside as soon as he is not useful and/or against her.... ?

HY abandoned baby JH bc she was poor. Later, she was very rich but she NEVER even looked for JH to at least send him money or keep an eye on him. She did not care if JH was live or dead.

HY only recently went looking for JH and **only** because she decided she needed a reliable body guard of her own blood, bc that kind is most reliable. That's THE ONLY reason why she tried to find her bio son. JH is just a henchman tool to her.

HY feeling something when JH is hurt now is the only atom of good in HY, but how stable is that feeling?
HY going around screaming she wants to give Dream Group to her son JH is .... .... what exactly? I think she really means: JH can be her henchman while she owns Dream Group. if he deviates from the role she assigned him, she will get rid of him.

HY is evil incarnate. She has walked that road into hell and in hell with 1000% willingness and her chance of redemption is 0.00000001%. Dracula is her enabler and guilty of feeding this monster to those proportions, out of his "love" i.e. psychotic obsession for her. Dracula is really medically insane person and a hard core criminal as well, no matter how nice he can be.

The trio of She-Devil, Dracula and Little Satan is totally a wow concoction, as well as the shallow supreficial Lawyer-Professor family. Those are the only interesting creations of this drama writer. This writer has no clue about how to properly create and advance JM family side.

In short, this drama writer has life experiences only with dumb. shallow, insane and/or criminal people and no experience whatsoever about how ordinary people COMMUNICATE AND GROW or how "good" people work in a team and solve problems together, or how women can be more than dumb and how men can be more than just blindly worshipping and serving their woman.

BH character was wasted bc it was made so one-dimensional blindly serving JM in anything, even her stupidities. BH actor is such a good actor and the role just wasted his talent.

JH is the most complex character in this drama and the role was wasted by giving it to a super unskilled actor.

The FL actress has no talent for portraying truly dumb uneducatd naive poor arrogantly crude and primitive women like JM is. FL actress was great as SR. Plus, JM's script was total trash, so boring and repetitive. So SR's character, which was so complex and so rich with potential plots, was wasted, and the drama was ruined by putting JM first and NEVER EVOLVING JM, so we the audience were stuck with slow-witted DumbMi for way too long.

so dont expect of this writer anything meaningful. The writer is too shallow and comfortable only with one-sided characters without complexity and growth. And someone at MBC is responsible for this bc those are the kind of scripts they keep airing. This drama is a little bit improvement of Woman WHo Swallowed the Sun but not improvement yet.

In contrast, check out Queen's House daily, where naive FL grew into a capable woman, and where ML villain was so complex - a criminal genuinely soft harted and dedicated to his own family and mistress who then experienced their betrayal. That actor was so bad at the start of the drama but then improved and made the drama totally stellar with his performance of this complex complicated nasty yet nice ML villain and victim at the same time.

Currently airng Our Happy Lives is a stellar drama bc all characters have complexity and paradox, and the plot is generated by that tension and contrast and CHARACTERS GROWING AND EVOLVING, trying things, failing, and then evolving, COMMUNICATING, so there is never any reason for crazy ridiculous plots. Our Happy Lives is what I call a real kdrama. It is fun, it is educational, it is refreshing, and pleasant and uplifting to watch. It is gender balanced, it has realistic characters and plot, and all actors are skilled (I wish ML actor would relax more, seems like someone is pushing him to act too stiff), so they make any and every scene very fun to watch.

So given all this, hopefully MBC learns something and starts going in the right direction.

I honestly don’t get Junho… he’s only making Jangmi hate him even more. I wonder if he’s just pretending…
JH is medically insane and legally a criminal at this point. JH BELONGS TO A JAIL PSYCHIATRIC WARD. So... what do you expect of him?

he doesn't care if JM loves him, he cares that he "OWNS" her, that he "HAS" her by his side, and he knows that by her nature she will always be kind/polite to him.

So his plan is that, as soon as he forces her to be by his side, she will just stay there
and by some magic, she will eventually be quiet and serve him and somehow "love" him

It is always possible to come back and redeem oneself, as every person has an angel and a devil inside, and no matter how much they are overtaken by the devil, every person has at least one atom of active good in them.

HOWEVER, the more someone walks down this road to hell / in hell, and esp when they walk it WILLINGLY, the harder it is to come back.

JH is already at a very low probability percentage of coming back. I estimate, 1% at most.

JH's problem is that he never had external help, he was always left to his own devices, and HY is a super strong liar / con artist, nobody can resist her on their own. .... and JH was on his own....... So HY helped JH to fuel the devil in him and to fully transform into a monster.

JH always had those tendencies and it was just kept in check bc BH's parents were relatively decent parents, so the good side of JH was fed more than his bad side.

HOWEVER, JH HIMSELF FED HIS BAD SIDE ALL THESE YEARS and his parents lack the skillZ and the observation to notice that he just lived in their house and never really mixed with them or loved anyone in the house. JH was a well-concealed parasite all these years, living for himself. His parents lack communication and observation skillZ and genuine closeness to notice that JH totally lacks any warmth, concern, compassion, BEING TRULY CLOSE TO THEM, etc. And it is not surprising - LawyerMom did not notice her own husband being on automatic pilot and then cheating.

Mom and Dad of that family are just too superficial and that is how JH's mental state was never detected.

Then comes JM, and her kindness and warmth helped JH activate his inner warmth and desire for closeness and warmth - however -

since the devil in him is too strong, this desire for closeness and warmth and kindness is twisted as desire to "posess" that -

So now comes HY and helps JH fully activate his inner devil -

and the result is what you see - a mentally insane PSYCHOTIC CRIMINAL.

It sounds like you just don't like cdramas which is fine but then why comment on an article of interesting facts…
Well - bored to death with what? Some ppl enjoyed Perfect Crown or Pursuit of Jade or Karashians and I found those dramas total cringe. Some ppl are bored with something like My Mister, and I am bored with something like. Sold Out on You... So.....

Currently:
We are All Trying Here is top notch meaningful art.

decent Filing fir Love, REcipe for Love,
Very decent family daily Our Happy Days

if yoy like makjang and soapy soaps , dailies First Man and Pearl in Red will do - the funny part is, they are so .... cliche yet the gender balance is quite egalitarian, which is a new and wonderful thng

On High Kick Season 3 28 days ago
I am watching 3 first bc I learned about it first and since it is a good experience, I will then watch 2 and 1.
Oh wow I just discovered that I watched High Kick 1 about ... 10??? years ago.... First I saw Pinnochio by chance and binge watched it, then I found High Kick 1....
I just found High Kick 2 and watched 1ep, and it is ok but I might like 3 better...
But after ep 90, I got tired of 3 and am quitting this series :)

This is what I wrote when I watched it earlier:

I love 3, it is so funny lmao and the characters are so realistic and the plots are realistic (well to some point, lmao everything but the tunnel)

And I love watching the actors!!!! The style of filming, acting, and overall vibe is SO RADIANTLY HEALTHY!!!!! Everyone looks so healthy and energetic, they communicate, they smile, it is lovely!!!!! And there is no tons of white powder on their faces, tons of plastic surgery, skinny skeleton bodies. People have nice normal fit healthy bodies.
E.g. Mr Yoon the taecher has crow feet wrinkles on this face when he smiles, but he is omg aLOT more handsome than any of the modern actors!!!! he just glows!!!! he is 100% beautiful healthy radiant energetic man, no modern actors can even compare with that look. The modern male actors are pale and kinda lifeless, they cannot move much, and the drama makes them act poker faced, which is sooo boring.
And the women in this drama actually look sexy in their mini skirts, they got nice legs. Modern actresses literally look like skeletons, their leg bones like chopsticks in X shape clunking under the mini skirt, it is terrifyingly ugly.

Too many modern actors and actresses look *ill* ***anorexic*** pale poker-faced tired exhausted malnourished depressed non-expressive lethargic stagnant non-moving

So I TOTALLY LOVE this drama for the overal look and vibe of RADIANT HEALTH AND ENERGY AND VITALITY! SOOOOOOO NICE TO WATCH HEALTHY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Yeah the series is long so Ms Park's dumbness is getting stale. Ms Park is so cringe, such cliche dumb damsel in distress REALLY dumb woman, to the point of being mentally disabled. Yet she is pretty and kind and socially aware, so she is treated as "desirable" when in reality, her IQ is about 100 and her mental capacity is like 6 yr old child - so her guy has to keep taking care of her. This is a major sexism in this drama. However, her guy is also rather mentally disabled too, he is not smart or rich either, and she is successful at work as a teacher, she is functional and socially respected, so in this drama sexism is not overdone to the cringe point like in modern kdramas.

So it is interesting how this "dumb woman requiring constant assistance of a man" concept has evolved in modern kdramas to make the woman a total loser and the man rich, controlling. and smart, i.e. the dumb damsel in distress concept is taken to extremely humiliating levels, obvious sexism and putting women down and exalting men. This imbalance leads to super boring 1-dimensional acting... yawn....

Luckily in this drama Mr. Yoon actor is very good at acting, and Ms. Park actress made the best out of her role too, so it is ok, she had smart twists and he is very expressive.

====
Nang was too hyperactive obnoxious, the acting was ... hm... a little too over the top at the start of the drama. Luckily he is kinda in the background the more you go into the drama and even acts as a mature wise kind compassionate guy

and the plot and the characters are so realistic, it is painful to watch the young TOTALLY immature dude buy like 10 hair pins... . but also that gives the drama the charm.... bc he finally bought her a Xmass gift and told her it is for her. It is nice to see progress :)

There should be season 4, that continues season 3... Bc I want to see what happened next...

I bet that ScooterGirl went to Rwanda and had a good time witih the Doctor, but also... I bet they broke up /never hooked up bc she is 16 yrs younger than him and not mature enough for him, and so I would think the best solution is that she came back to Korea to LongLegs, who, by then, will be an adult and a man.
Ms. Park and Mr. Yoon should have like 10kids, and I wonder if he still behaves crazy with that bat
