there are TONS of cooking dramas from way back, but Bon Appetit was the first to have those flashy animated scenes of ppl tasting the food and enjoying it. That's new. The same approach is used in this drama.

Don't be angry at ppl mentioning Bon Appetit, bc Bon Appetit showed that trick on big screen first and made that trick famous, and it is the "signature trick" of Bon Appetit, we associate that trick with Bon Appetit bc we saw it there first.

This drama does that trick even better lmao those 3 fat old gansters running on the beach as 3 angels in white - and in sync - is totally totally totally hilarious

he is a perfect in this role as an as@ kissing armchair commander, interested only to get ahead and get promoted

Someone is swindling money on supply food - we saw that for sure. (This drama is gentle and staying on the safe side, bc in real life, there is a lot more :) Heavier dramas like Tempest attempt that. In this drama, we keep it simple, and keep corruption related only to food :) everyone knows what food is :)
So there is that corruption we know about... And some of those bosses are on it and/or know about it.

Imo they are patronizing her bc she is female - it is very typical anywhere - yeah :( - and also she is exposing their corruption and presenting obstacles to them as she speaks up and takes action that is against their PERSONAL interests ... like Big Ears is interested only to get promoted, whoever is swindling supplies money is interested in keeping that going, etc ..

.... and it could be that some are hitting on her too - it is hard to tell, bc Biggest Boss could be hitting on her OR he could be behind all this corruption and is just pretending to be nice to her and checking on her to see how much she knows... .

some are beyond patronizing and totally hostile mean, like her Boss, he hates her. He must have some reason...

The end of the Sunday episode is FL's father catching Uncle and Aunt and yelling at them that HE DOES NOT WANT TO UPSET FL's MOTHER with their family mixing with Yangs. He did not say it upset him. He said it upsets his wife.
In other words, the hatred that FL's mom feels towards Yangs is th only thing preventing his family from peace. Grandma is behind that .... And FL and WJ all blindly obey their mother and shun the other family too.

Grandma is promoting hatred bc she does not want to upset FL's mom. But - isnt that just a cover up for Grandma's hatred??? Grandma and FL mother are the slimiest characters in the whole drama... and Se Ri.... ..

Bucket wants peace for sure - BUT he is also so flakey and keeps changing his mind, always suspecting the worst - and being wrong. He is just sooo immature... . FL's dad is a stubborn person and is still refusing. But at least those two go on shows and show some good will and dont really talk badly about each other.

SO THERE IS NOTHING STANDING IN THE WAY OF PEACE EXCEPT THE PASSIVE AGRESSIVE UNDECIDED WISHY WASHY TOP MALES, AND STAUNCH FEMALE HATERS. FL's mom and Grandma and FL, and Se Ri and now Eun Bin too.

THAT HAS TO BE RESOLVED ASAP BC thE MORE THE DRAMA LINGERS IN THIS STALLMATE, THE MORE IT WILL FLOP .

So ... the only upholders of hate here are the women!!!!!! Except Aunt. FL's mom and Grandma - and FL!!!!!! FL is super slimy moron - such a young and supposedly adult and professionally successful person has no brains to see what is right?? FL here is a joke... SO very weak.
And on the Yang side, StepMom and Eun Bin - again - a young person - well Eun Bin is immature, selfish, and totally confused, without much of a moral compass... so she is doing whatever she thinks she has to do to kiss as@ of her family....

. and now we got ML bailing out! not out of hate but out of hopelessness, seeing SO MUCH HATRED - for not good reason - and seeing his chick being so flippant and flaky and bailing out.

ML finally broke down. He has been working so hard and had to bend backwards and kiss as@ of FL so many times when she broke up and dumped him or tried to break up - every time it got tough, she dumped him or talked about breaking up bc it was easier. And this time too, she told Grandma she is dumping him way before she learned he is leaving. FL is soooo flakey and weak... and surprisingly dumb.

Aunt is rather dumb and she tried quitting so many times too, but I think she is finally strong enough to stand up for their relationship.

Se Ri is a very flawed character, but that actress is totally nailing it making it real.

It went fast and I didnt understand - who is Lim, why she was sent there, why her immediate boss was so upset, etc. I think I need to learn the names first but I am really bad with names. So I will call them: Biggest Boss who seems to have personal interest in the Lady, her Boss who is super mean - he waited in front of bathroom; and her ... ? immediate boss??? the guy with big ears - what is he to her? He is such a sucker to higher ups and keeps talking to her patronizingly. The Boss just slams BigEars as stupid.

So why did that woman end up at tha isolated post, what is going on, and why do those guys just diss you, except the Biggest Boss.... ? Biggest Boss seems to be hitting on her or what.. ?

Bon Appetit Your Majesty in 2025 used those over the top animated scenes of people enjoyng the food, and made such scenes globally known and very popular, most international audience will asociate such scenes with Bon Appetit drama

First of all where ARE ML's parents?? he was without parents at the age of 7,
Does Grandpa blame the kid for "killing" his parents - you know the old trope - the kid is talking too much on the back seat and parent turns around to tell him to stop and loses control of the vehicle or runs off the road or into another car...
And seems like on top of it, ML mother was somehow blacklisted.
Also, SML also did not have any parents. Did ML's and SML's parents all die in one car accident or something? And it was ML's or his mom's fault... ?
