100% agree
Never seen competent police yet in real life
I thoght a lot WHY and I concluded it has to be that way bc police is there to torment small people and never catch ppl who really steal - like corrupt politicians and government and corporations, drug rings, etc
Police only harasses small ppl for having marojuana on them and stuff like that you know what I mean? Their job is to harass minorities and powerless people and leave rich and powerful alone to do whatever they want. So a policeman has to be dumb enough and bribeable to be able to bs small people and to never catch the big fish. That is my conclusion

Title The Husband
Episode 9 seems to be a stepping stone episode for tomorrow's crucial one(s) for lots more answers to be finally…
His wife turned around since she found her dad's papers...
Yeah he got wronged... but ... it is a great deal his fault, bc he just does NOT communicate and does not display emotion!!!! That scene when he comes out of operating room and she is crying bc their kid is dad - he should have hugged her and let her cry on his shoulder, but he was just standing there frozen. Yeah she is immature and she should have not blamed him but things happen in those moments and it would be ok if he was just comforting her by just being there listening and letting her explode in that grief and tantrum - ok if she didnt want him to hug her - but SOMEHOW he had to convey he was there - and he did NOT!!!! that's a cardinal error! - - AND LATER EVENTUALLY WHEN THEY CALMED DOWN, THEY SHOULD HAVE TALKED ABOUT IT - AND THEY DID NOT. **** THEY NEVER TALKED ***** THAT IS A CARDINAL ERROR IN A RELATIONSHIP. She never ever asked him what happened, and he kept silent playing the Superhuman John Wayne strong silent type. In other words, he treated her like she were a child. Yuck sexism. Yeah she behaved like a child but he never tried to help her grow and even pushed her further into acting like a child. . So the distance between them got worse and worse.

He needs to somewhat melt to be a better companion to his wife.
His wife is immature and irrational and does not reason, she is too reactive, and that led her to do some really evil bad stuff.. , like prioritizing 1 hr wait for a rich person with a small problem over saving life of a poor person. ... Agh that was evil!!! I never said the wife is evil - I am saying she did some really really really really nasty stuff.

and he is a zipped up robot. He does not even talk. He WHISPERS a few words...

How did the two even get together??
The rock climbing is where she calms down and he becomes a normal, feeling, breathing, communicating human being
IN their meeting scene in the last ep, she does the emotional work for him, and she keeps asking him and saying what he should be saying. He just stands, whispering a few words. That has to change :) I think it is hard for him bc he is this genius surgeon and super intelligent and honestly rather autistic or something... but still ... he gotta melt some or else.

So... they need marriage therapy seems like. Learning to TALK things through, and learning to BE THERE for each other.
She cannot use him as a daddy and he cannot pretend he is her daddy. Who is he to decide for her what she should hear and what not??? He is assuming that she is an imbecile. True she is immature but she needs to hear stuff and learn to cope. He is stunting her growth.

And she drives him away - she becomes angry bitter aggressive blaming and he just retreats like a snail into his shell. He totally clams up when someone is aggressive towards him - and then he wants to bail out and dump her. Which makes her even more mad.

So yeah those 2 have a long way to become a couple
But at least - seems like they have genuine feelings for each other

I just watched ep 1 -2 and I love it, the amazing Korean humor.... lmao Like the black monkey ride lmao Imo this drama is really funny so far. and also .... deep in many ways
I love ML role, it is written very well and the actor is really great at it, so real and alive
FL role is .. interesting :) The actress is a great comedian. Luckily FL is written as a very competent adult so this is a very egalitarian relationship, which makes the drama very refreshing and very dynamic. Plus the excellent dialogue.
It is sometimes scary and I would not watch this at night. Horror unfortunately is real

The drama has amazing dialogues, actually meaningful and funny, and so many comedic details, it is really a pleasure to watch it. Acting is great, dialogue is great, music adds to fun, and it is filmed in hilariously funny ways..... And also it is a great thriller. It makes thriller comedic and real, it looks like real life... It is fun and also deep and delicate and warm, and a great social commentary again in fun ways. A real kdrama.

I will see if my opinion will hold later since ppl said it drops in quality later. So far after ep 2, I am stoked to watch this. It is truly funny and endearing and real at the same time

What started as a supernatural mystery quickly collapses into one of the sloppiest scripts I've seen this year.…

your tax dollars at work
Oops thank you for clarification and your patience. I kinda mixed this up with a post from someone else.
I missed "you are right" part of your reply

So yeah, then I should have written my post as "by that reasoning, Korean police is also wasted tax dollars, so that is how my comment applies to this drama."

Based on the comments... this is what I call "alcohol drama" when you want to turn your brain off but instead of turning to alcohol or drugs or 1 gallon of chocolate icecream, 20 hrs of video games, or bunjee jumping until your head falls off... you just watch a junk drama

So it is still a better choice ....

and you might even get ahead..... if you WISELY parallel task while you are watching... if you... stretch on the floor, fold the laundry, exercise, quietly sit and rest i.e. effectively take a nap, etc while you are watching

Good dramas can be great ways to relax and fall asleep, etc.

Yes, but what can one do when it's next to impossible to buy a house like in USA when everybody ones to live in…
yeah good point...
so one has to carefully pick "honest" buildings.... and always be involved and keep an eye... Like the Director of Rental Units in this drama..

I JUST SAID WHAT THIS DRAMA SHOWED and you attacked me as a bad person.
Your post is a very polite passive-agressive blame, it seems like you are an accomplished gaslighter :)
I genuinely suspect you are trying to hide what really happens

So dont try to sugar coating it
and dont ever write to me again

Why is the current rating so low? This drama is a blast of fun. Yeah all characters are doing shady things in…
"THE WEST" is a term in English :) And just by using common sense, "THE WEST" is a generic term, anything in the West, not one particular country
So what is the starting point for "West"? It is the Western idea that the center of the world is Europe. That comes from the colonialism era. 0 Grinwitch time is in Europe lol So that's why we have Western and Eastern Europe, that is the "dividing line" and the "reference" that the whole world uses these days bc the whole world is westernized, thanks to colonization and thanks to USA propaganda, mostly via Hwood, we all now live with a sofa and TV in the living room

And yeah the term implicitly implies NORTH WEST countries :)
and yeah the leader of that way of life an thinking is the USA and the second are North Western European countries, from where american immigrants came from, as immigrants of first order, no quota to enter the USA. I suggest you google how the USA immigration has always had quotas based on race and ethnicity.

50 episodes for what? 😭 They could’ve easily made this a 12 or 16 episode drama. What exactly is going to…
I watched ep 1 and now I know why this is boring to you All actors (except 2 moms, 1 grandma) are very young and inexperienced so acting is not superb here.
The story also sometimes veers off
If you like a pleasant drama with fantastic acting, meaningful script, etc then current daily Our Happy Days might be to your liking. Family Register is spicier and more intense. Both are very decent dramas

MDL description is TOTALLY OFF. First, it was FL who disappeared, not ML. Second.. is she an owner of that side dish shop?? ML seems to already be in Seoul for a while...
I do ship GY with AccentAdjushi, he is so warm and loyal, he will heal her abandonment pain and bitterness and cynicism.
GO is a gigolo? wow.
The kiddo is cute and has super long and complicated lines... ! how??

FL irritates me, the script made her very insecure and weak, plus lack of great acting skills, makes it boring to watch . She is not a disaster though like most FLs...
I liked watching ML actor as a school kid, he was so expressive. Now as a Chef he is to serious and .. fake... and .. boring.
His tall friend is a really fun character. That actor is a great comedian and also hits deep notes

The drama is ok but is too bland, lacking SPICE, something that gels it and makes it deep. I think it is total lack of very experienced actors. This drama is all young ppl, 2 moms, 1 grandma, and 1 kid. No elderly. No experienced actors.

Han Gyuyeong is shaping up to be the best character on the show, of a type that's all but disappeared from modern…
Well you are not doing justice to Country Bumpkin Adjushi... Wearing slippers and having an accent does NOT make someone "lesser". FYI he is a great catch!!!!

He is handsome and has a nice strong body too and looks energetic and expressive even passionate, and most importantly, he is a very good, honest, kind, stable, hardworking, generous, dedicated person. He will doggedly stay by her side no matter what. He is a genuine warm healthy person. HE IS CAPABLE OF LOVING HER TRULY, FOR LIFE. She will not have to worry he will abandon her.
.
So I feel she needs him badly, bc only with his influence will she lose her selfishness. He can love her. She is just super immature and hurt and that's bad for her. His warmth and dedication will finally defrost all he bitterness

FL irritates me bc she is just dumb / insecure like she showed up out of 1950s and the actress is not a great actress either.
ML actor was doing well as a young person, he is an expressive actor,
but now as a Chef, I am not feeling it, he feels really fake, I think he is straining to be this grown up serious man. Just ... .
