so glad I am not the only one with the similar opinion about this one. fortunately the one he plays the pilot (ost with "you were always gonna be me love") was super and the recent production Glass Heart (he actually did majority of the work on script and directing (not to mention playing and singing the very you were always gonna be my love!) can easily wipe out the bad taste in your mouth after the incurable case of bad script
the script was done in a slapstick comedy style, ridiculously overdone particularly when it came to hitting women. the scenese where first m-i-l and then husband beats the crap out of her daughter in lat/his wife who just gave birth were really unnecessary and uncomfortable. the leads are pretty and tbh I only paid attention to their scenes which were scrumptious
what was CiSha's & RenMin's characters story in The Longest Promise?
I was so glad they did this drama together, ever since rise of Ning I desperately wanted him to get the girl π sorta like I would want Bai Lu to be his forever partner which he did not get in Forever and Ever (Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue got their happy cp in this year's detective drama finally, after One and Only left me hanging years ago π)
Nice seeing you here!! β‘β‘ I actually searched up the title because I wanted to to read the novel you recommended.…
Well, good to see you here too! I am not sure the novel will be made into vd but since it is on my drama novel site, I think it will be. Read it! I posted the title here because couple people asked about similar recommendations and I read this. My YT subscription expires in 3 days so I have been downloading and watching vd like crazy 4-5 a day just to milk that free trial πππ so I am not much here. Watching or reading anything interesting?
all i can say is -- Zhan Zhao, you are my chinese Himura Kenshin! like, how can it not be. zhan zhao must be in…
ooo, I never thought of that link! thanks π I am now looking at pretty boy ml as a character with a character ( as you can tell HK battousai or nor is my favorite)π
Zhang YuXi is so underrated its a crime. I do mean literally a crime. I hope someday she can get a main lead role…
a lot of actors who started in VD are staying there almost forever. and given all the changes brought by AI to the world of verticals more and more big screen actors migrate to mini dramas or make VDs. she is good in both but we really should be weary of what big production carries with it: risks, forced activities exhaustion and whim of general public. I would rather hunt for the dramas with my fav actors ( thanks MDL community for lists, links and news) than read all of the sudden that the person was banned or died
scratching my head trying to figure out if I should laugh or cry. Does leo like to play these odd ball characters in almost cartoonish series or he got typecasted in them forever?
thanks for such unrestrained review!π I am watching ml's appearances in earlier dramas and this is one of those that literally doesn't require anything to watch. yey!
An Zi Yang is called Samuel
*Zhou Yan Zhe* is called Sebastian
*Wu Yang Chen* is called Lucas (he does not look like his usual dolled up self here, but it's him)
Zhang Zhuo is Zane (again, I just finished watching another vd with him and it's definitely him)
Jin Da Zhong is Jason
It was a fun watch and probably the best of all versions with one queen and 5 husbands

can someone give more details on his first marriage? all I know it's been 2 year long one and she died, but was it marriage with all the right and rituals or engagement without the rites? they often substitute these terms in cdramas and I have not read the novel. thanks!
