ep 1 has plagiarized scene from Blossom (flying with glass shards reflecting moments from their life) and then ep 2 is pretty much modern version of A Girl Inside Me and the concept of seeing a ghost reminds me of a VD The third year after she died my wife came to me as a ghost. Let's hope the chemistry will compensate for these things
Geez, I suddenly see you everywhere. I swear I am not a bot and do not try to stalk you! I know this is an old post but I would stay away from that platform. While people make money using it they were fined for breaking industry standards and over 1500 titles were removed from the view because of intellectual property infringement (ai generated content based on rear artwork and actors without their consent).

So I am thinking that she really should have been dead in this season and the scene of putting arms around the emperor's neck as he takes her away from her ancestral home away - pretty much what her legal husband was denied !-just a figment of emperor's imagination. The end. And in s2 she watches from the cloud that last scene from s1 where we learn that the emperor goes mad trying to get her away from the ancestral home and coffin and ends up deposed where the cute widowed prince is then enthroned, but she leaves that world behind and Ta-da! is put in an alternative history line where she get to see different outcomes based on her experience with own naivety toward the world she was put into by the old fishing dude. And then she can experience different life, but the screenwriter should shuffle things around and make the former husband the emperor (maybe not at all interested in her), and the former emperor the widowed prince (who really grieves his ex and unborn child), and the former widowed prince her spouse who.... I still have not figured it out if he should be really supportive and loving like in s1 or, let's say gay. But the set up of the drama in s2 really should be a moving target so she cannot tell who is who and have the foresight. Now THAT would be interesting!

this was a 4 hour long angst filled harrowing story that I have not seen among cdramas for some time, mostly because I avoid cruelty to the women and men's general pompous ass attitude that pay lip service of love and protection to only leave them to their own devices. This story had fl going back to her abusers with no common sense and only men who never claimed to love her (4th prince) or wanting/having sex with her being there for her (father and brother). I honestly developed stomach ache from the sheer powerlessness I witnessed watching this. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! GREAT production, really good idea for the story (albeit reminded me of Scarlett Heart Kdrama), acting was top notch, but the characters were eeek, not likable even if they had charm. Watch at your own risk.
it will definitely be better than The Trust, the one with the dude whose face got replaced in Brocade Odyssey I had it on my PTW for over a year because I really liked the manga

this one is really different! well worth watching. she plays a ghost who interacts with her spouse and it's both very touching (we learn about their own and common tragedies) and fun. kudos to the scriptwriters for a refreshing ideas and not the usual tropes this was at least 8.5/10👍
I will find time to also read the novel where the Yun Chu's Vengeance drama was adapted.
majority of the characters fl is scheming against are children. yes you are NOT mistaken. 6-13 year old kids at that time may have been more mature than what we see nowadays, but I absolutely abhore the idea shown in the novel.

tbh, in the grand Chinese tradition about 150 chapters after the first 200 were absolutely unnecessary. and the ending blah. but the beginning was good and I think drama will make it worthwhile. just be warned below
