yep. I find the drama boring as well. I was curious how are they going to do this drama without time jump (in the novel FL had lived her first life and then jumped back to the days we see in the drama here to live it the second time around) since CCP does not like the "time travel" or rebirth" but after reading the novel I was just curious how are they going to deal with the whole sister-in-law and her younger brother-in-law, Now I am on ep 8 and it really has little to do with the novel. I am watching because I am hoping for something that will take my breath away or at least grab my attention, but nah. nothing so far. just watching and doing laundry, cooking and cleaning while it airs.

same here. I just started Fight for Love and while I could stomach the novel what they did with drama is just plain boring on big budget. Here at least I get nice balance between character development/reveal and roles that are not exactly what one expects from the mini drama. On the other hand... I am starting to question the freedom of the emperor in moving around - even with the Regent's grip on things.
The opening credits sound like Liu Yu Ning's main theme from Journey to Love. But that aside, would it be bad if the opening credits visuals for the story of rebirth had showed the first life of the characters??? They can do the summary of the second life in the closing credits.

The Commander Pei looked at her with longing back during her wedding procession and she was not very happy about it even though Pei said "you worked so hard to get married" at one point, so I am thinking (given Cdrama tropes in general) they have been involved early on and maybe the kid is really Pei's child but he does not remember their whoopie and she seems to be determined to find "her" child meaning she kind knew the father was not going to be of help or assistance. One way or the other this is second best married and with a child woman's story after Spring Fever. Although I like Eddy Geng's character's traits better, Yan Zi Xian is really awesome with his smirks and other facial expressions.
Isn't it great that the consensual sex was shown as something that just happened and it did not cause any wild reactions in either one??? For that alone I am loving it. People do have sex without love for whatever reasons, so I am rooting for how they work it out because the romance is not as important as is their relationship
