Wow show just went full on thriller in EP 11... What happened 🤣 ... I like thrillers in general but didn't…
If one was carefully watching from the beginning (like re-watch carefully watching), the thriller part was a given. Did I care - No. My payoff was 1st half of Ep. 12 w/the kids and I got it. And that is the only 1/2 hour I will re-watch and re-watch. So far, Crazy Love is my only 10⭐ for a completed series, but Alchemy of Souls is hitting all cylinders thus far.
Hello Alchemists! Is it true this is season 1 and season 2 is already planned?? Don't tell me we have to wait…
Excerpt from one article:Director Park pointed out that his upcoming series will feature the first part of the story, with a second part in the works already.
“When Hong sisters were writing the script, we discussed so many interesting stories about different families, characters and their development. Unfortunately, I thought 20 episodes would not be enough to really show the strengths of the scriptwriters who create very entertaining and comical stories,” the director said.
“The scriptwriters are currently working on part two as well. Hopefully, we will have more time to explore each individual character in detail,” Park added.
I enjoyed this drama. But I have to say that I liked the first half much more than the latter and the ending was…
I kinda lost interest in the main couple a couple of weeks ago, but I have been waiting and waiting to see the childhood scenes and I finally got payoff today. Moon Woo Jin is a great young actor.
The last 1/2 of Ep. 12 was not inspiring or entertaining, but that seems to be the curse of many Korean romcoms.
The mysterious man is Lee Cheol (Teacher Lee) He is a mysterious figure who is good at magic, and is called Master…
Info was found on the internet. I posted a list of AoS characters/ description last week in the "Recent Discussions" section. Hope to update later today if I find time.
So basically, Uk is not supposed to be learning anything for his welfare, and yet he's defying that. I wonder…
The mysterious man is Lee Cheol (Teacher Lee) He is a mysterious figure who is good at magic, and is called Master ‘Hemp’ Lee because he wears only hemp cloth all year round.
I believe the 5 billion won is just for the huge outdoor sets - at a minimum Songrim; Cheonbugwan; and the Royal Palace. I would be very interested in knowing the grand total for everything.
This is for my MDL friends who requested brief recap because they won't be able to actually watch final episodes…
Childhood scenes – the first ½ hour of Ep. 12. And. . . . .yep, I was right since Ep. 3 – young MH rescued YS from drowning and saved her with mouth-to-mouth. THAT was the “Kiss Sixth Sense” that began their individual hypersensitiveness – both to the world AND TO EACH OTHER. Am I genius or what? It was there from the very beginning (Ep. 1, Scene 1) and I am feeling very happy right now.
Oh, did you want to know about the current stuff??? Okay, here is the abridged Cliff Notes.
EPISODE 11: Mr. Kim (the chef fiancée) is injured In hit-and-run by Mr. Kim (the bar owner) because he is smitten with Ms. Kim (the Mom). Got that? Also in Ep. 11 – lots of nice couple scenes. Min-hu already suspects him; Bad guy Mr. Kim abducts YS and after a very lengthy almost exact reenactment of the FIRST childhood accident (only this time on an icy lake!) , Min-hu rescues YS but is badly hurt by Bad Mr. Kim.
EPISODE 12 – we FINALLY, FINALLY get the childhood scenes – almost ½ hour and oh my gosh – I’m in tears. They are so adorable I’m in love. And all my theories confirmed.
Oh, you still want more current day stuff? MH badly injured. Lots of drama in the hospital but Min-hu pulls through AND both lose their superpowers! Karma Rules Be still my heart, but Young Dr. Oh and Ho-woo reconcile (my 2nd favorite couple after young MH and YS); she’s pregnant (I think?) and they hand out wedding invites. Looks like Ji-young and Pil-yo end up together but I FF through all of that. Last ½ hour of Ep. 12 was filler stupid because YS and MH BROKE UP! But reconciled at the last, so. . . .
EVERYONE GETS THEIR HAPPY ENDING!
Hugs to all “Kiss Sixth Sense” fanatics for this journey together on MDL.
This is for my MDL friends who requested brief recap because they won't be able to actually watch final episodes for many hours (see below). All I will say in this post is that I am in tears because I finally got the childhood scenes I've been waiting for and they were better than I could have wished.
Is it only me shipping there uncle and the maidservant kim because of that one scene they are talking of how they…
There were three couples promoted before the show started and Park Jin/Doo-joo was one of them. So, I would say that the writers/directors did a good job of pairing them up.
But, I don't think they are ever, ever going to compare to our main duo, Jang Uk and Mu-Deok.❤❤❤
Definitely I will wait for summary BEFORE I start watching this last episodes. I need confirmation, that there…
I was debating whether to stay up tonight to watch (midnight my time) because all I really want to see are the childhood scenes. but if you want a brief summary, I'll do it. 🥰
I'm wondering where exactly is Jang Kang in present time? Is he dead? Or is he kidnapped and held against his…
Well, I don't recall a scene where he said "I am leaving because. . . . ." But it's implied that he felt if he stayed, JU's life would be at risk. Unfortunately, he left Jin Mu in charge of the "Soul Ejector". I'm guessing he will return at a critical point.
As for "catching" things, as I said - I learned when watching a different Kdrama that if you are dealing with mysteries/secret childhood/"magic"/etc., taking notes was critical if you want to unravel complex matters. The funny thing is - I frequently don't catch an important clue or discussion the first time around. Re-watching a particular scene yesterday (to identify the name of the celebrity tavern (Netflix calls it a brothel😥), I learned another clue about Mu-deok. 😊
Naksu’s father had a flashback where he was recording constellations. So back then, he was probably the first…
"And now this painful past may be a catalyst for angst or a break up between Jang Wook and Naksu the moment they learn the truth TT-TT"
Well, that's a wrinkle that I had not thought of. I thought the conflict would come when she sets out to kill off the four mage families. Except she's already sworn off hurting JU. And she's not going to go after Yul. Writers are pointing the way to Mu-Deok being a member of the Jin family. That leaves Park Jin.
So, yes - there will be great conflict when this particular thread is unraveled.
I think Jin Mu planted that memory into her head. I don't think they were there.
i'm jealous of all the people who are planning on binge watching this 🙂
I'm not. I enjoy pondering the various elements of this very complex show - soul-shifting,: "energy of the lake" and what it involves; the unique and loveable mage families; the breath-taking cinematography. 😊 In other words, I enjoy re-watching.

I also read somewhere, but cannot locate it right now, that the 10 episodes would stand on its own.
