An innocent romance drama for the younger crowd. Kazuya does really well in his depressing loner roles and he just makes me like him so much! I really liked Haruka in Hotaru No Hikari so it was nice to see her in this. She plays naive and innocent really well. I really liked the friendships amongst the entire cast. It felt real. The relationship between Hiroto & Nao was refreshingly sweet. I smiled throughout most of the episodes. The last 2 episodes made my stomach turn though. I was so depressed but by the end of it all I was like what?! Haha so this drama is a really good romance that everyone should watch once.

Wow did this take me a long time to finish...

Story: A typical revenge themed drama with a bit of romance thrown in there. The plot was very good in the beginning, dragged in the middle, and got good again by the third part. The pacing of each episode was okay but as a whole the drama felt way too long and it could have been so much more enjoyable if it was only 16-18 eps. I liked the ending because it was kind of open ended but you knew where everything was headed.

Acting/Cast: Uhm Tae Woong and Han Ji Min were amazing as usual but I loved their chemistry as well. I enjoyed the supporting characters and all the actors played their parts well. The drama however, could have did without Go Joo Won or even his character. His acting was bland and it made his character not charming or sympathetic.

Music: Overplayed but fit.

Rewatch: I liked most of the characters a lot that I might one day in the far away future sit through this again. Wish the drama was shorter though!

Final Thoughts: Revenge could have been a lot more exciting within the plot and tighter with a shorter episode count but its worth watching at least once if you like the main actors and revenge themed dramas.

Be aware Kpop the Ultimate Audition does have a very incomplete ending but it was still a surprisingly good watch…

Story- Obviously very similar to Your Beautiful however, the writers did a good job of taking the idea and making it their own. I liked the romance because it was well developed. I looked forward to new eps every week. The biggest disappointment was the ending. They had so many loose ends its not even funny. I would have really liked to see who made the M2 Junior group. Also I wanted to see how the fans reacted to the reveal of Seung Yeon and what would become of her career. Really there was so much more story to tell. You can’t blame the writers though because Channel A cut it short. The writers did what they could and I appreciate that.

Acting/Cast- Really loved the actress that played Seung Yeon because she was just perfect in her role as a very believable tom boy. I never did come to love the male lead and actually preferred the actor that played Ji Woo (I want to see more of him!) but the lead actors did have chemistry which made the romance believable. I liked the supporting cast but some of their acting skills were just okay.

Music- Very catchy and memorable enough to put on my ipod.

Rewatch- I would like to watch this again because it was funny and I liked the music. But due to the lousy ending it probably wouldn’t be for a little while.

Overall if you loved You’re Beautiful you probably won’t fall in love with Kpop the Ultimate Audition but you might come to like it . It’s definitely worth a watch.

A Better Tomorrow does have action but I can't say that it is the real draw. Mostly this is due to the action not being shown till the very end. The real story here is the relationship between the main characters. JJM, SSH, and KKW really got to show thier acting chops which surprised me because I thought this was just another action/ crime movie. At times I felt like I was watching a melodrama lol. Really though I love the characters and acting, the story/plot was just average which the long runtime didnt help. The ending was fitting for this type of movie so be prepared. Overall the actors are what carry this movie which makes it a good enough watch. I cant say if id watch it again or not just because the story wasnt bad but it wasnt amazing either. Worth watching once though.

I actually didn't know what an Otaku was so I thought from the picture, the movie was going to be about her being a maid for some reason?

Yeah well it was totally different from what I thought! It's a little naughty but really funny story about a girl who is obsessed with boy love manga, games, tv, movies etc and the normal boy who loves her and is willing to accept her as she is. The story does get a little dramatic towards the end though. The ending is nice and sweet. The leads were cute together. I really like that thier characters were so different but somehow they found love. Overall How to Date an Otaku Girl is a cute and funny watch.

Yes My Little Bride has a simple story. But somehow its so much more because its funny and it pulls you in. The chemistry between the leads is so great that you root for them. The ending is too cute. Id rewatch this more than once in the same year.

Although the premise for Man of Honor is kind of vague, it turned out to be totally different from what I expected. Whether that is good or bad you’ll have to decide for yourself…

Story- It started off as any melodrama does with a traumatic event in the main characters childhood that separates them for many years until they meet again by chance or I guess fate. When they do meet again their lives are intertwined once again but this time many big secrets come out and in a way although they are able physically to remain by each others side they aren’t able to come together romantically till like the end due to these life changing secrets.

I liked the story enough because I never felt bored but I wish they would’ve cut it down by at least 4 episodes. The beginning episodes were kind of not that interesting so if they would have left some of that stuff out it really would have made the drama more enjoyable. The episodes didn’t feel long because they were well written but the series as a whole felt too long. Another weak point would be the romance. There were not enough romantic scenes between the leads. So even though this is supposed to be a romance drama it felt more like a business drama because they really focused more on the revenge/ company matters/ job competition portion. Something I did like from the story was the ending. For the most part they settled everything in a realistic manner and it didn’t feel rushed.

Acting/Cast- The acting by everyone was a pleasant surprise. I planned on watching this in the first place for Chun Jung Myun and already new he was a great actor. But I was worried when he got paired off with Park Min Young (didn’t like her acting in Sungyungwan Scandal and thought she was annoying in City Hunter) but I feel like she really tried with her character in this. Unfortunately, the leads had no romantic chemistry and it felt like they were suited to be best friends/siblings. Another actor I wanted to mention was Lee Jang Woo. Although this was the first role I had seen him in, I was impressed by how he portrayed his complex character as the arrogant but vulnerable chaebol son. I also will mention that I liked a lot of the supporting cast that played the characters on the Team Leader Heo’s sales team in the company. They made the business portion of the drama fun to watch. I also want to give it up to the actor that played our villain Chairman Seo. He was really scary and every time he yelled I got goosebumps!

Music- It was well done. It was memorable, but Im not obsessed with listening to it outside of the show.

Rewatch- Its really only good for a one time watch just because it can drain you and the romance wasn't that good. However, it is watchable because you dont get bored.

Although Man of Honor is not one of the best dramas I’ve watched, it isn’t as horrible as everyone is making it out to be. Is it a drama you’ll be missing out on if you don’t watch? No. But If you like Chun Jung Myun well enough and you like melodramas with a happy ending, Id recommend this.

A family melo and the fact that 2 leading actors I really like are acting in the same drama really made May Queen a drama to look forward to…

Story: Honestly I didn’t find the shipbuilding theme interesting at all but the writers did well in keeping the audience from becoming bored by introducing the cliché makjang elements, especially towards the end. With that being said, I would have enjoyed it much more if they did NOT provide an extension. For someone like me who gets bored easily, pacing is most important and towards the end, the pacing stalled and I got restless. Another thing that I found disappointing was the romance of the main OTP. Their relationship really didn’t start until almost episode 30 I believe, because the main girl was still hung up over her past love. Really, I understand that loving someone for 15 years and then getting dumped can hinder new romance but its hard to root for a couple whose romance isn’t straightforward. The ending was perfect.

Acting: Jae Hee and Kim Jae Won of course killed it. Unfortunately, I found Han Ji Hye's portrayal only serviceable. She did not have many expressions and her emotional scenes didn’t move me. Also, she had no chemistry with either leading men, which rendered the romances worthless. I even think the actress that played Inwha did a more believable job playing her second lead role. I enjoyed her relationship with Jae Hee's character more than the main OTP. The supporting actors did a great job but I found Hae Joo’s fake family annoying and useless to the plot. I shipped Jung Woo/Bong Hee couple (their odd relationship is so much fun!). As for our villain, Lee Duk Hwa is an actor who is right at home with his character and as usual does every evil thing imaginable, but has the chops to make you sympathetic for his character in the end.

Music: Fit the drama but nothing I’d remember down the line.

Rewatch: Here’s where it becomes tricky. It was well written but my enjoyment the first time around wasn’t that great, so Id pass on another go around.

Overall, this is a very good family melo that’s worth a watch if your into those, but don’t expect a masterpiece like Can You Hear My Heart (I kept comparing the whole time and it just made me want to rewatch it instead), an epic romance, or amazing acting by the lead actress or you wont enjoy the drama.

Black & White was not on my “got to watch anytime soon” list just because it’s not a genre I'm really interested in. I even dropped it the first time after watching 3 episodes because I got bored. After picking it back up again and actually completing it I have to say it is the most unpredictable Taiwanese drama I’ve seen!

Story- Funny, suspenseful, dramatic, action packed. That’s a lot for a drama to take on but this one managed to pull it off. The plot for me was a little slow for the first 4 episodes but then it started to pick up. About half way is when the plot really started to thicken and I could not stop watching. There were something’s I had a problem with though. One was the twist having to do with both our male leads. It got twisted and it got overused. By the time the truth came out I just rolled my eyes cause I was so over it. Another thing I didn’t like was how they wrote the love lines. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a drama that had 5 people who were connected that had a one sided love. Seriously the love lines get twisted every which way even till the end. Okay, I wouldn’t have had such a problem with this if it weren’t for the fact there was no payoff in the end. Small Spoiler: That’s right no one ends up with anyone! I felt the writers pulled my heartstrings all the way through only to be let down in the end. I know this is not a romance drama but if you’re going to write it in there, it shouldn’t be used to tease the audience, just saying…
Other than that the ending is kind of open with some loose ends and new revelations. Another thing is be ready for a ton of deaths, betrayal, good guys turning bad vise versa throughout the entire drama. Like I said this drama is really unpredictable.

Acting/Cast- From the big players to the supporting characters everyone fit their parts perfectly. Newbie Mark Chao was really impressive, this being his first role and all. He was able to keep up with Vic and in some scenes even out-shined him in my opinion. Speaking of Vic, this role was definitely a change from other stuff Ive seen him in. He has had a lot of growth. I liked Ivy Chen’s character in the beginning but then she began to annoy me with her selfish/wishy-washiness. Janine Chang played my favorite character, who was quite underused. Her character was awesome but I felt bad for her in the end.

Music- Loved the score really fit and heightened scenes. The OST was good but nothing I'm interested in listening to outside the show.

Rewatch- This is rewatchable but I cant say I’m interested just because I wasn’t completely satisfied with how some things developed.

Overall Black and White is entertaining and at times addicting. I just can’t say I thoroughly enjoyed it to the point I’d give it such a high score.

Story- Not your conventional kdrama. This is very politically driven which didn't appeal to me a first. I got to say though you will learn a lot about politcs. The drama offers many hilarious moments and many frustrating moments as well. This adds to the obsession factor. However, There's a couple of episodes when they are running for the elections which made me lose interest so I had to take off 1 point for that. Awesome ending!

Acting/Cast- Kim Sun Ah really really impressed me here. I did not like her in Kim Sam Soon so I was weary about her role in this drama. Man I was so shocked that she was hilarious and likeable. The growth of her character was really great to watch. Cha Sung Won was very charismatic and sly in his role. I really became a fan of his in this. Both leads had sizzling chemistry. The supporting cast was a bit annoying at times but they were great.

Music- Only a couple of songs in this one. The theme song will get in your head forever LOL.

Rewatch- Because of the OTP was so intense I definitely could watch this twice a year.

Overall- Unexpectedly amazing show which you will watch more than once.

A drama starring Kim Bum (the only highlight of BOF) as first lead, who wouldnt want to give this a try...

Story: Its realistic and simple. Themes that are discussed: Older woman/younger man romance, friendships and their lovelines, and finding career success. Really these are themes that have been done in other dramas but the writers had good pacing. The ending could have been a little more specific.

Acting/Cast: I enjoyed Park Jin Hee's performance in Kimchi Family, so I knew what to expect from her but I was suprised by how good the chemistry was between her and Kim Bum. I think KB was a bit miscast though, because although he was playing a 24 year old, he looked like he was still in high school so some scenes were a bit awkward with him and the main female character. Some of the supporting characters I could of did without.

Music: Not really memorable but alright for the drama.

Rewatch: It could be watched a gain if you like these type of stories.

Overall, The Woman Who Still Want to Marry is a cleaner version of Sex and the City so if you liked that show you might enjoy this.

This drama was definitely not on my radar for the cast, as I didn’t even know who the main actors were. However, I always like to give new romcoms a try and the plot sounded like it might be different and a lot of fun…

Story: Originally the plot was suppose to be about a prosecutor who loses his memory after an accident and thinks he’s a gangster /really becomes a gangster and falls in love with a gangster’s daughter. However, the writers decided to change the story so while I was kind of disappointed they left the turning into a gangster part out, I was pretty pleased with the writing. It was funny and it had a plot. Was it original? No. Was it predictable? Yes, it’s a romcom. But the writers still kept me engaged all the way till the lovable ending.

Acting/Cast: This is where interest in the show itself was minimal. While Jo Yeo Jung and Kim Kang Woo had chemistry, I didn’t feel a connection to their characters. JYJ did a lot of overacting and it made her character annoying. I feel like anyone could have played the main male character. While KKW isn’t a bad actor, he just didn’t own his character. I did like the supporting cast and their characters more than the main. And although Nam Gyu Ri’s character was clingy, I felt sympathy for her character and liked her better than the female lead cause she’s just a better actress and has more screen presence than JYJ. And for the second male lead, I always like him in his dramas and this character was no exception.

Music: It was fun and matched the tone of the show

Rewatch: I didn’t love the main characters so theres not really a need for me to watch this again.

Overall the writing is entertaining but it could’ve been an amazing romcom with better casting. Worth watching once though if you love romcoms like me:)

Omg I really loved this movie! Not only was it super funny but the story was really good and it never got boring. Vic Zhou was amazing in this! I’ve never seen him act this good in anything I’ve seen him in. It was nice to see him smile a lot for a change. I really like how his character developed from pretty much a douchebag to this guy who completely falls hard for his opposite. Although I didn’t really care for the female actress I was surprised by how much chemistry she had with Vic. They made a very believable couple. Loved the ending so cute. I’ll be watching this over and over again=)

I was looking forward to watching this movie because I'm a fan of both leads...

The movie started off just being funny as the leads meet by "coincidence" and then start this weird partnership of doing all these odd jobs to make quick money. For a comedy I thought they wrote the story more realistic than I'm use to seeing with K romantic comedies. The story does get a bit dramatic towards the end due to some unforseen events, although I quite guessed what happened would happened. The romance in this was really light and we don't really see any payoffs till the end. I didn't really have a problem with this because although the leads had a good chemistry I didnt sense a romantic connection. It could be the fact that HYS looks 10 yrs older than SJK. Anyways the actors did a great job with thier characters and portrayed thier flaws perfectly. I'd watch this again but not right away because I wasn't in love with the story.

My Tutor Friend 2 is different than the one that came before it. This one is more realistic but still hilarious. I actually liked the story better in this one and the ending was cute. My only problem is the romance was better in the first one. In this there was not really a confession/hug/kiss anything to connect them romantically. Somehow though he just ends up following her all the way to Japan? I dont know but the romance could have been written better.

I loved the leads together and they had such a good chemistry. I wished the writers used that to thier advantage. The supporting cast in this was okay but not as memorable as the one in the first.

Overall this is a good movie that can be watched again but in a few years.
