Star in My Heart: a classic tale of growth, independence, true love and lasting friendships.

This was a wonderful story overall. Gripping in its essence and filled with artlike direction and music that filled your soul with characters that really made you root for them. Really made me wish for their happiness and for them to find the stars in their hearts. Hope, solace and happiness!

Yun hee portrayed by Choi Jin Shil is a lovely heroine! She was was so sweet, nice but stubborn and fierce in her determination. I just fell in love with her designer talents! The actress is so beautiful as well! Her chemistry was amazing with Min hee portrayed by Jae Wook. Ah his handsome charming looks made me swoon! And the way he tackled his life problems and found solace in his music, my heart broke for his soul many times, the way his father caged him in like a prisoner several times. I love that he was supposed to take her number to give to his bestfriend Joon-hee portrayed by In pyo but ended up pursuing her himself!

The chemistry is insane♥️

I binge watched this drama in two days. It was filled with powerdynamics, romance, revenge, seduction and sweet sweet love between two child hood sweethearts who don’t know each other’s true identities when they reunite. FL is stunningly beautiful and stubborn, equal in her deadliness to her soulmate, our alluring and dark killer of a hero. Such a badass power couple!

Heartbreaking, stunning,epic and wondrous...

"A Fox sits atop a sand dune, sitting on the sand dunes, gazing at the moon. Turns out that his gaze is not upon the moon. Alone waiting for the shepherd girl to return." -Ost "Little Fox"

Historical epic romantic adventure filled with politic intrigues and how awful deceptive greed brings everyone down in this story. "Goodbye my princess" is based on a novel Eastern Palace written by the famous chinese author Fei Wo Si Cun (who also wrote masterpieces like "Too Late to say i love you" and "Siege in Fog" and "Sealed with a Kiss".) " Goodbye my princess" stars Chen Xing Xu as the becoming Crown Prince Li Cheng Yin and Peng Xiao Ran as the very beautiful princess Xiao Feng. All the characters had their purpose and the story was haunting in its clear sad beauty. Their love-story was cursed before it even began, how they jump into the river of forgetfullness and how their souls still never forgot each other when their minds did. All the actors did a terrific job, Li Cheng Yin never ceased to make me surprised by how calculating and ruthless he could be, bordering on being a monster. This story made my heart bleed. I don`t know what I can write anymore, this drama has made me at loss for words.

"I think dying by your hands would be better than losing you and dying of heartache" - Ah Da Mo

I smiled, laughed, swooned, screamed and cried while watching "New Tales of Gisaeng". Wow, what a journey this has been. What a absolutely marvelous story of fate, family, sisterhood, pain, trauma and the teachings of life this brought to every character. But most of all, the central and epic love-story of our main-leads, they are star-crossed lovers Ah Da Mo & Dan Sa Ran portrayed by Soo-Hyang and Sung-Hoon. These two on-screen created fireworks, just gosh what a beautiful pair they are! It was long time coming for me to watch "New Tales of Gisaeng" since it has been recommended to me for some time now but i never came around to actually watching past 20 min of first ep in the past. I think the time was not right for me, i gave it another shot last week and decided that i firmly would finish 3 episodes and when i did i was stuck. I knew this was a drama i had to and would finish watching. It is a wonderful story that depicts the magic of fate and how it entangles characters in their lives. This drama has characters that makes you root for them and i grew so fond of everyone, even the elders. Then we have the romance that feeded my romantic heart, ah what a magical and electrfying chemistry our main-leads have!! The dialuge, the glances and the touches between them, just stop it!!!KYAAAA!!!

Sa Ran is unlike many of the heroines i have seen in other dramas. She is cold in the sense that you would outwardly think she is arrogant, but she uses it as a mechanism to not open herself up to anyone. She does not speak of whats in her heart and mind, and the awful loneliness that consumes her. She has this firm dignity and great love for dancing. She is beautiful and has such a beauty in her heart. No wonder our leading hero Ah Da Mo fell madly in love with her! Ah, i love the way they hated to love each other. Hardcore hate-love story this one, and i loved every damn bit of it!!

Ah Da Mo has such a compelling character developement throughout the drama. He is very arrogant, bitter and cynical at the start. He lives his life with the following flow, knowing his place and situation in following his fathers footsteps as an heir to their family company and knows what is expected of him. He is not a rebel, but he is angry at his father for neglecting him emotionally throughout his child-hood, and that he even regards the dog Andre more of a son than Da Mo is, which is a humiliation to Da Mo`s ego. He slowly changes when he gets to know the dancer his grandmother invites to his house, the beautiful Sa Ran who is incredibly attracted to at first sight. But due to a awful misunderstanding caused by Da Mo`s cynical views she insults and hurt his pride, which makes him in return pursue her for his selfish reasons in making her fall for him so hard she would throw herself at him. (sigh, these arrogant male heroes always dig their own graves) but he senses how incredibly he is softening towards her and gets frightened out of his wits when he suspects that he is growing feelings for her. And that my friends was his gravest mistake. He run away from his own heart and bitterly regretted the awful consequences because of it. Thank god he comes to his senses and does everything there on to make her forgive him...i love how he declared that he lost to her. That he would rather she kill him with her own hands, than him dying of heartache living apart from her.

I also need to mention how fond i became of second female lead Ra Ra who also was given such a wonderful developement in character from a spoiled and entitled princess into a strong, loving and caring young woman who tackled the harsh surprises life gave her. The actress protraying her Hye-rin gave such depth to her performance that you could not help but root for her happiness as well. I love that she found true love in her new friend and protecter, Kyle that teached english at the Gisaeng House. They are absolutely wonderful together, love the deep sense of trust and friendship and admiration both have for each other.

My journey with "Unwilling Bride"

was...how should i put it? A different one. My rating is sorely based on that i only enjoyed the first six episodes and the writing went downhill with a lot of repetitive behaviour and situations. It grew boring fast so i had to speed forward and 16 episodes after that was a lot for me. But let me compliment at how stunning Mik Thongraya & Pooklook looked together on-screen and how well they portrayed their characters. The ML Kadethaen is really famous for being one of the steadfast, passionate and honest heroes of Lakhornland and i give props to Mik for handling this character with such charm throughout this lakhorn. Nackarin portrayed by Guy Ratchanont was another intriguing character as soon as he got introduced- he was a Anti-hero with a dark background, he made the story interesting with his revenge plot.

I could not avoid this one

"My Demon" is a drama i saw headlines of everywhere i went on the internet and my social circle,LOL. Everyone had great stuff to show and tell me about it so i was like, why the hell not? It was a exciting start and kept me on toes, this magical tale of a demon who makes a deal with a human. I felt the magic, darkness, enchantment and the romance in the air between the main-leads, reincarnated lovers and soulmates Do do-he & Jung Koo Won. Their exceptional love-story is the centre of it all in this epic tale where our demon becomes Do he`s savior in all the ways she never expected and she manages to stir feelings inside of him he thought he never could possibly feel. Jung Koo Won is a charming devil...witty, arrogant, dedicated, charismatic. And he thinks all humans are insignificant creatures...well except for when he meets Do-he,lol. I love this drama, its been so long since i watched a k-drama i really enjoyed like this one. It has one of the most stunning on-screen couple i have ever seen as well. This one gave me goosebumps, made me cry, smile and laugh and swoon with the magic and thrill of what was My Demon!

I decided to watch the Original Version of "Leh Ratee" first!

"Yesterday you treated me nicely, but today you are slicing me with thousand knives. Why are you doing it? Do you want me to die?!" -Sak

***
I don`t know what came over me. I just wanted a quick popular slap-kiss lakhorn watch and i checked this title out and decided to immediatly check the original version out from 2004 since the lakhorns back then have something i strongly adhere to, i don`t know what it is quite, but i think the way stories were executed back then have this magic and how passionate they used to be. In "Leh Ratee" we have much to see, fateful lovers and all the obstacles and misunderstandings coming their way to separate them. Both are very strong headed individuals in their own way, especially our domineering devil prince Sak Sutthakorn who argues against everyone and never backs away from a challenge. He is a force to be reckoned with. Already cold-blooded enough, he becomes more ruthless than ever when he knows of his wife`s deceit. Like a formidable villain he is after the thief that stole money from his company, that man desperetaly tries to find a chance for safety when he knows he is to be doomed together with his family, so he mixes cards together one last time to find the card that will give him last hope- he gets one card: The Heart Queen.

He is instantly relieved, because he knows at that moment that Sak is destined for his stepdaughter, the sweet and innocent heroine Kate. Ah, i loved Sak`s furious face when he requested his awful proposition in selling Kate to him, to give him a heir. But Sak had indeed always been secretly attracted to the angelic heroine, they were destined to fall in love. They bicker, fight and challenge each other, but we have so many sweet moments between them were they connect and try to understand each other. Sak will have to learn to trust his heroine, his future wife. What a lovely story in its core, such a beautiful romantic story. The OST and the romantic heartbreaking themes made my heart burn! I am so glad i watched it, got me binge watching three days in a row. Pepper & Ann in my opinion have wonderful chemistry, so much sparks in their every scene, this is such a underrated classic.

" I should never have came back into your life. I lit that fire of vengeance which was the starting point of all lies and pain."

- Yodthian

***
"Behind the Revenge" (which also has the title "Fai Luang") uses the havoc of fire to actually describe in the type of mess its plot is in for. Its remade from the original version that aired in 1998 that got very popular back then, this new version has changed a lot of important details and dynamics of the plot. Both versions however starts the same way. Our tenderhearted and selfless heroine Yodthian (starring Pimmy Pimrapa) enters the funeral of the one man she always has felt gratitude towards...knowing she will cause eruption from his family members. The reason being she is the younger sister of the man`s mistress that is hated by his wife and children. One person that gets specially furious is his son, the formidable heir Noppharuj (starring Son Yuke) and he throws her flowers to the ground and burns them to ashes...the moment is symbolic. Its that moment the vengeance starts with the storm and Noppahruj don`t back down to the end.

Who else was madly excited when the trailer released??!!! I was! I totally fell for the original version with Willie & Tao and was soooo excited when the new version would star Son & Pimmy in those roles since they are absolutely terrific actors. After its airing i got kinda dissappointed by the negative feedback it has got here on MDL, but i decided to give it a shot since i love the original story so much. We do get some romantic scenes in the new version, but the passion between the main-leads flared like instant fire whenever they were in the same room in the original version.

The character of Phonwalai (starring Bee Namthip) was the driving force of this plot. She is the Anti-heroine who craves revenge and does anything to step up the climber to get what she wants. She is extremely selfish, manipulative and ruthless when she needs to be. But she is also a bruised soul. So lonely and anxious in her sadness and grief and trauma. Not even her younger sister is able to help her. She does however stumble upon several rocks as soon as her weakness appears before her and gives way more attention to her sister than she liked. Nitan is such a charismatic villain. He is the joker and holds all the cards from the start. Nitan & Walai are like two stumbling rocks, one minute allies and the other enemies. One of the most toxic relationships i ever have seen on-screen must be between them, how they hated each other and how the other always got a upper hand. Wow, they made the episodes so exciting.

I may be generous with my rating, but the fact is that i actually binge watched this lakhorn in three days and immensely enjoyed the ride. It was a melodramatic thriller with a central love-story to the core, but absolutely fascinating with its business politics, actions of revenge and betrayals and the dysfunctional relationships that came through. I loved the way the story developed however dramatic to the events that changed everything. I never got bored with this drama.

Watch this one for the main-leads!

Chen Fang Tong & Dai Gao Zheng totally fired up the screen in "Maid`s Revenge" so i have been unable to forget these two for a long while. I was so excited when i got to know they would star in a new drama together. "Forever Love" is a contemporary romance with business intrigues and politics. We have investigations going on, combat scenes and betrayals. But the fiery chemistry between the main-leads totally made this worth the watch, i binge watched it in one day. Dai Gao Zheng is absolutely gorgeous as the bodyguard Qin Mo Yao and i loved how absolutely besotted he is with Tong. Their love-scenes made me absolutely warm all over. Ahhhh how i hope for more dramas with both of them steaming up the screen again!!

Star-crossed lovers that made my heart bleed...

"Till the End of the Moon" is the best chinese drama i have ever seen. I am flabbergasted, i am sad, i am shocked...all emotions all at once and that does not often happen to me when watching a drama. I feel like there are no words enough expressing my deep affection for this story, its a marvelous epic fantasy war drama that consists of 40 episodes that kept me glued to the screen. All of the realms, all of the magical events and the songs kept my heart singing and all of the characters that rocked their part of the story, wether good and bad. I love it, i love all of it. Wow!!!

Tantai Jin, oh my my what a character. He is so deep and so complex!! One of the best written characters i have ever seen on-screen. Born for destruction and destined for the same. He was doomed before he even was born. He hated the world and he hated his miserable existence. There was no drop of goodness lent to him. Sheer will and selfishness made him live on, and sheer cunningness made him survive. His transformation from a abused hostage to a powerful King....i just find it so amazing! All of it!!But in mids of all that he meets Li Susu in the form of his wife Ye Xihu...finding her sudden change of behaviour strange and even more that she is willing to protect and die for him. He never even knew how starved of affection he was before she started to show that to him. He was sedcued and tempted by her goodness and light. Fascinated by her stubborness and fearlessness. Alive only when he was near her, he fell completely and irrevocably in love with her. How much i cried with him, he made my heart bleed with his torture. The actor did a remarkable job, making this character alive in its perfection. His stunning beauty and his deep longing eyes. Wow...just wow. His beloved heroine Li Susu feels like a dear friend of mine, her mission costing almost her life...and she was still so insistent in making it succeed. Her pain was my pain as well. She desperately wished she could stay by Tantai Jin`s side and be the light in his darkness...alas fate. The fate of star-crossed lovers. It was always them, it was always about them...they were the End of the Moon.

A passionate love-story set in the quiet wildness of the desert.

"Remember, from this moment on you will call for my warmth and the taste of my kissess forever. If on a day or night i don`t come to you, you will feel the torment of death"- Karim Abdullah

***
At the start of this story there is a young prince riding along the sands of the desert in the arabian Quhar, he is always waiting while looking over at quietness and mystery of the desert...always waiting. As a man many years later he runs along the desert with anguished sobs and cries out to the desert and the Gods why his heroine won`t accept him as a man. This prince is Karim Abdullah (portrayed by Willie McIntosh) , his name has the meaning of "honorable and "generous". He is the hero of this story. Born into a arabian kingdom as a half-breed, as a orphan and with a aunt and cousin that detests the sight of him. He loves his beloved uncle Hassan who introduces him to his step-daughter, our very sharp but beautiful heroine Danielle (portrayed by Mew Lalita), her name embodies beauty, intellect, and defiance and she stays true to her character throughout. But she is afraid of the one man bold and dynamic enough to steal her breath away with just one glance. But she will deny him marriage and defy his heart and run away from him...not realizing that she is only running from her own heart.

This is one powerful story of a lakhorn. This story and its characters just gripped me. I am in absolute awe. Ah, it was so romantic and hella exciting and absolutely stunning of a picture!! Willie as the arabian prince Karim Abdullah totally stole my heart and his love for Danielle just made me cry everytime she denied him and tried to hurt him. She did not trust him, especially since there were many side characters that lied about him to her and wrote him off as a terrible monster. At least Karim made her realize for herself what a man he is and yesss yess girl your man is sexy as heck!!! He was so passionate i had to fan my face all the time.LOL. This lakhorn is also based on a Harlequin Presents Romance novel written by Penny Jordan with the title "Daughter of Hassan" which i find awesome since its one of my favourite authors. Mew Lalita was absolutely stunning as the heroine Danielle and omg her outfits blew my mind away! She was so much in her feminime aura that even i fell for her! I give this lakhorn 10/10 and i feel so lucky that i found it with eng subs! This is a lakhorn not to be missed and i lost sleep over this one for three whole nights! This was one hell of a journey, i will miss Karim & Danielle so much!

"I won`t give you up. You are mine. Only mine." - Naparoot

***
"Fai Luang" is a old-school slap-kiss soap opera with lots of intensity in its melodramatic essence. It has all that i love in lakhorns of this genre. Romance, passion, hatred, revenge and two main-leads that refuse to back off from their purpose. It stars the handsome Willie Ruengrit as the avenging and domineering hero Naparoot who in every sense of the word wants to ruin the life of his deceased father`s mistress and in turn hurt her younger sister, the one woman who ever infuriates him and makes him go mad with anger and passion, the very gentle but stubborn Yotien starred by Tao Sarocha. She is furious over her sisters actions and betrayal but with fierce patience and good will she tries to gain the forgiveness of Naparoot`s family, which only infuriates him even more. Their love for each other became the burning fire that at first was built by intense hatred, both Naparoot & Yotien get hurt by it and both refuse to even acknowledge it or even give in to it.

I totally lost sleep over this incredible story. All the characters felt so real to me and their emotions were well acted out by the whole cast. Willie just took my breath away with his gripping performance by truly showing how Naparoot was at the peak of losing his mind. He was the soul of this story, no one was above him and could really stand up against him, well except for his very beloved heroine who refused to surrender.

I don`t really remember why i picked Tears in Heaven to watch, especially since i rarely watch chinese dramas. Must have been because of some intriguing videos on youtube and the alluring storyline that is a great potential of emotional angst i just craved. I have read great stuff about the novel this drama is adapted from, i made a research about the author Fei Wo Si Cun who is literally FAMOUS for her many angsty romances that got adapted into dramas like one of my favourites "Siege in Fog".

Watching the drama with its beautiful OST and memorable characters was a treat and the first 20 episodes were great. I loved the slow burn but intense love-story between Du Xiaosu & Lei Yuzheng. How they actually bonded because of their love for Zhen Rong who died so tragically. I feel like the main plot and focus was lost after Yuzheng got into jail in ep 21. I knew the writers shied away from the heavy angst that was in the novel and how deeply twisted and toxic main-leads relationship actually was, and how sad it actually became (as i have read some spoilers of the novel) but the saving grace was somehow the redemption of a villanious greedy character Lin Xiang Yuan who i actually came to ship with Fan Lu. They literally felt like a old couple still in love. This drama could have been sooooo much better without all the business politics and investigation that dominated for the entire other half od this drama. Felt like i was wasting so much time watching it. But i am glad i finished it. I think i will always remember Tears in Heaven for the melancholic and sad feeling it could give me sometimes.

I will never get over this drama.

Oh my god. I have no idea whatsoever i am gonna do with my life now. "Maid`s Revenge" was such a thrilling, dark, enfuriating, addictive, smart and sexy epic romance that gave me everything i craved in this genre. Tingyao is a cute heroine with a wonderful character developement but it is the beautiful alpha warlord Male Hero Tian Yi that totally took my breath away with his stunning looks and acting. He was raw male power and oozed so much sex appeal i had to take my eyes off the screen sometimes because i had to FREAKING BREATH with how beautifully dangerous and sexy he was.

Gao Zheng did this character so well that i am stunned. His acting was so natural and fitting of this powerful character that execuded power, authority, strength and such sex appeal, but also showing his heart through his eyes. When he looked at his female heroine with such agony and longing i just wanted to cry. He is one of my favourite on-screen heroes. Never gonna get over him, just sayin.Ahh

"Fah Pieng Din" (which means "When the Sky Falls") were one of the anticipated lakhorns for me in year 2022 and i was giddily excited when the trailer got released. We have the beautiful actress Prang Kannarun playing our brave heroine Chompoo who had to change her name into Sarika to hide from the villains, and our very charismatic actor Film Thanapat portraying the arrogant and slightly mad anti-hero Thewarat. In their reunion...the sky fell on the earth without Chompoo & Thewarat realizing it. It was a destined meeting and a rather explosive one since they despise each other on sight. This was a unforgettable love-story, with action and lots of drama mixed in. I loved this journey.

I love the scenery in this lakhorn, the nature and the animals and the buildings. All of it were beautiful. To top it all the main-leads are beautiful as well. Everytime Thewarat glanced at Chompoo, even in anger...goosebumps would attack me all over again. He was so drawn to her and he fell so hard for her. Even Chompoo wondered when their love started. According to me, it started when they were kids, thinking they were biological siblings. Not only were they playmates, but both cared for each other in a more mature level than most children usually do. Don`t get me wrong, their love was innocent, but it was there and it was destined to only bloom into the love a man and woman have for each other when they become adults. Exactly as it happened to Chompoo & Thewarat when they reunited. Chompoo doesn`t know this handsome caring brother of hers anymore when they meet again, he has turned into a stranger talking in only the ways of money. He is hateful, arrogant and such a snob he makes her want to slap him hard in the face. Which she also does later on,lol. But she also doesn`t realize how broken his soul actually is, how madness is there lingering in his mind, eating at his heart. Living with a guardian that has made his life a living hell ever since he lost Chompoo and their father. That guardian is the main villian Pitak, portrayed by the iconic actor Captain Phutanate who by the way also portrayed Thewarat in the 2001 version of "Fah Pieng Din".

Since the story is set in 60s and yearly 70s in Thailand, this was a very brutal and barbaric times. So expect lots of violence in this story. It is quite cruel in what Chompoo & Thewarat goes through in this story. Your heart breaks for them since both are victims of such terrible deceits in this story. Thewarat`s breakdown was to be expected, Film managed to portray and give a heart to this complex character. I just could not help but love him, he tried so hard to sustain his goodness. He tried to make up for the bad stuff he did by hurting himself, he made me cry in his utter pain and loneliness and helplessness of his empty life. Only Chompoo could give him happiness and solace to his soul. He never expected it, he did not want it. But he did embrace it with a brave mind.I love how he stood his ground and fought hard to win Chompoo`s love and trust. Even when he did come to the realization that Sarika is Chompoo (and he thinks they are biological siblings) he still could not leave her as a brother or lover. His heartbreak when he came to the realization that Sarika is Chompoo made me cry rivers.

Prang is a actress i have come to truly love in all the lakhorns i have seen her in supporting roles ("Sai Lub Ruk Puan" and "Love Destiny") and i always wanted her to have a awesome lead role. Finally got it here. She looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL as Chompoo/ Sarika and gave a incredible performance in highlighting the classiness of the character mixed with a badass confident attitude in where she mouthed facts to EVERYONE who wanted to cross her, especially our leading male Thewarat,LOL. Ahhh, how she infuriated him in the early episodes. I loved it. Also what a stunning picture she made when she played the violin in that white/pink dress, just wow. Not surprised at all that Thewarat could not stop stare at her, or with him even announcing that they are getting engaged in front of the whole audience. Just awesome, i love it. I love this lakhorn, do not regret watching it at all!
