to me and maybe this is me. he just was really sensitive. in my friend group we call each other degrading detorgary names. But we don’t get offended. Try there are some who will and clearly he did. That have viewers in awe, excited and so much more. I hope people can come here not putting too much state into what they precieve the heir to be and actually get to know what the heir is truly. in a essence a family business of traditional ink making in China. And a young woman from that same dynasty and legacy branching out to reclaim what was once stolen, taken and lost.

yeah even if the douban score stays a 6.1 I’m not sure if you watched best choice ever. but that douban score was also low in fact it was 6.4 just three points extra. It still broke records. I think we’re used to seeing yang Zi chooses scripts that have given her 7.1, 7.0, 7.5, 8.3 douban scores and are used to fast paced success on first day. This drama I will agree with you did aired right when POJ hyped is still going on, Splendid beauty was airing which douban for that is I believe 5.1 and Bad luck drama which douban is 8.0 there’s also another drama who broke 30,000 on Tencent. So there is that aspect and the fact it’s airing during ZZA who is also taking hits with its ratings but still did managed to grab its spot on Youku hall of fame. The success a drama for me isn’t on douban scores, high ratings but the long lasting impact it has on viewers and audience across boarders. This is what Yang Zi is known for. Since shedding her idol / Xianxia skin she has given nothing but amazing performances. She’s even rumored to take on her first empress role which I hope she takes it. 🍉 is almost 70% confirmed and she won’t start filming until next year as she’s taking a break following the way you come back wrap up. That might be up your alley if you like true story dramas based on real life people. She’s China first empress and regent who ruled for years. If taken the role I see that drama also being apart of her drama list of hits such as the heir and so on.

Many on this platform, Weibo, etc are saying it’s the same as her last drama. But this is truly different the only thing is the theme is family business instead of business. I expect it to hit its mark this week. Good news is that it’s already been certified S+ rate and joined IQYI hall of fame. that counts for something.

it’s actually doing quite well. it’s reached 9000 heat the other day and will also be reaching 1000 and it’s top 1 and top 2 in other charts. yang Zi character broke 500 million. The drama has been trending none stop and supported by other actors, govt, etc. It’s in newspapers of Chinese and English. numbers are steady rising higher not sure where you got this from. MDL, Douban and other platforms does not determine success as it’s being malicious attack. everyone sees it and have been calling it out on Weibo etc.

thank you for understanding and yes that was the reasons it was rated low it’s not the only one ZZA is also getting rated low. The only drama I seen over hyped is one I will not mentioned. If you choose to keep watching as someone who is Japanese I will say the Japan pirates are in this coming to steal their ink skills etc. This drama holds special heart place because of the amount of weight debit as a Japanese person we had on Chinese cultural and people. The romance is also though haven’t started and is slow burn pretty good. Both Yang Zi and Elvis Han have agreeded to do another project soon. If you’re into heavy stuff might I suggest if you like yang Zi acting to check out her up and coming bio pic drama The way you come back. She plays ages ranging from 60-70 years. She plays a true real life person. The family personally asked for her to play their mother / grandmother. It just wrapped so it might aired this year or next. But there’s some wrap up and other trailers out there. I think Yang Zi acting in that is born to be alive worthy. Also born to be alive is a true story about a rescue team saving animals in a region in China. it’s good and has a douban score of 8.3
