Well she got him stabbed and honestly Zhang Bin could have killed them both. It is just that she told the other guy to come for ZB. Whatever her intention was it was too risky and a little reckless. The cops finally arrived otherwise Chen Yi would have died from blood loss
Episode 31 was pretty intense. MJ was definitely reckless - going after Zhang Bim and Chen Yi by herself. She almost got Chen Yi killed and I did not like that . I have felt bad for Chen Yi through out the drama because he was used by people so much. And the fact that he did not have anyone to guide him was heart wrenching. I do sympathize with Zhou - it is sad what happened to his wife. But when he used Chen Yi as an informant, he made him collateral damage . And just felt that the police in general were incompetent and did not provide him any backing or protection when he was willing to go in so deep. Oh well I guess this is every undercover cop.

I have put myself in his shoes - yes he had a very hard life and he lived a dangerous life and he did not like the way she treated him. I can sympathize with him but put yourself in her shoes too. He threw her out and that was the worst thing he did to her . And he was behaving like a parent . She was very confused about the relationship they had . He was very important to her - but he also made it very hard for her to feel secure and feel loved till the end. I could say that he took her for granted and did not fight for her till the end. And that was not respecting her either. Neither MJ nor Chen Yi were simple. They were both equally flawed but still stood by each other. I am glad this drama did not sugarcoat the darkness they both carried because of their neglected and abusive childhoods. You just can’t see black and white in people. They come in different shades. I can see both sides here .

lol - really? I am only giving my opinion on what I saw. Iwas not saying she was disloyal to Chen Yi. Yes Chen Yi was loyal to her but he kept pushing her away and did not want anything to do with her because his life was in constant danger . But she did not want that - she did not want to go full on either before he could hold on to her firmly. She really would have left if Chen Yi did not come around . They are both very grey characters. So I don’t see them doing anything the normal conventional way. They both are complex and ambiguous sometimes . And that is fine . In reality who says people don’t have back ups? I have met women like that. There is no need to be offended by it .

So! ? If you wanted me to say something about her and Cen Ye - even though she had made it clear to him that they were still exes I think she did keep her options open to a certain extent. I don’t blame her though because for the longest time the ML did not commit to her . That was the biggest issue. For someone like MJ who had been abandoned by everyone - including Chen Yi- again and again she needed that unbreakable promise of commitment from ChenYi. And she was not willing to settle for anything less. Given how unconventional and complicated their relationship was and with both not having a normal family/home from childhood- both their behaviors were quite erratic. But for MJ that commitment was cru important and she was not willing to give herself to Chen Yi till then. That is why you see some ambiguity towards Chen Yi from her. She was basically telling him that he would lose her completely fo he did not commit. It took a while for Chen Yi to realize that. Cen Ye was a good back uk up that way.
