In "Warrior Baek Dong Soo" you find some "romantic" plots between 4 main characters (Dong Soo, Yeo Woon, Jin Joo and Ji Sun), but they are not very good presented or developed in the drama. Main focus is on friendship (almost bromance) of two main male chars, instead of theirs love triangle and I really didn't miss romance at all in this drama as I was obsessed with main plot instead :D

About romance - the "old triangle" - Saint Sword, Chun and Ji are much more interested than "young triangle". So it should not ruin your "yaoi" feeling too much :)

Ending - I would like not to spoil it too much, but I cried a river on final scene between two male leads. It was very emotional intense...

I hate how drama ends. I was prepared that Yeo Woon character will die, but I wasn't prepared for so poorly made ending. Final scene was simple awesome, and the writers should have stopped here. But they didn't... after soo emotional / dramatic scene, they simple jump to "happy ending" scenes showing all side characters being happy. This contrast just killed the dramatic " emotional awesomeness" final scene gave you. Suddenly after whole drama being concentrated on Dong Soo and Yeo Woon, nobody noticed Yeo Woon is not around, nobody give a fuck about his death and that he sacrifice himself, bastard Cho Rip didn't even had any nightmares after sentencing his best friend to death (no he simple lived happily... seriously he should have died, not too said he was so heavily wounded...)... They are were happy and nobody (except from once scene with Dong Soo) remembered him. It was so cruel ending. If I'd known that I'd simple skip all scenes after the final duel...
They were able to make it more better, I won't forgive them... ;(

I watched Arang and Magistrate and always liked Jade Emperor, even tho I didn't pay much attention into this char ("just cute supporting char"). Didn't recognize Seung Ho in Queen Seonduk as Chun Chu either... <blushes>

After I've watched Warrior Baek Dong Soo (agree the title should be "Assassin Yeo Woon" or smtg), it all changed. I'm amazed with his actor skills and how he played this character... For the first time also I've understood why other MDLs users were posting images of theirs fav actors and admire them. Now I'm the of you :D

Also despite the fact, I'm watching mostly only historical dramas, I've decided to watch other Seung Ho's dramas... just to watch him <3

Yes Dowager is theirs (Emperor and his younger brother who died) a step-mother. Emperor is a son of Kuśala. After Kuśala died, our Emperor was send to Goryeo for exile and his father's younger bother Tugh Temür was a king (his wife was our Budashiri - later Dowager). After Tugh Temür died, Budashiri agreed to place Kuśala's son on the throne instead of son of Tugh Temür. But they chosen "sweet Emperor's" younger brother (Rinchinbal) - who died anyway.
