the episodes keep getting better and better! the plot is getting less predictable too and characters are getting more nuanced by now, but we are almost halfway and they give us too little in each episode😭

for me it sounds more like an industry lesson. where does the limit fall with ai? most cdramas use ai generated clips in their openings too, just not ai generated characters.

you're right his performance in POJ was really nuanced, he shines in costume dramas...but i think his best performance yet was kunning palace and in this one we kinda get a similar repressed tension. what the direction and ZLH did okay so far in this drama is the huge contrast of before, super naive vs after, now cynical. how his vulnerability shows up is also well done. but so far, i dont see the main leads having enough room for more nuance in their play.

POJ had an ai generated opening credit too... most cdramas have full on or partially ai generated opening credits now.
but the difference here is that audience drew the line because they put ai generated characters instead of the real actors in that credit and thats an easy big NO.

FL came with her plan and prepared to meet ML. we really need to know her side hopefully nxt episode because so far we understand she had put him in the same basket as his family, that's why it was easier for her to fake her death

i don't mind all that except for the actual revenge plot of FL: having to resort to marrying the brother and having the planes for her plan to work is really a stretch ... maybe that's how it is in that era? 😅
the way the main leads handle each other is actually not bad!!
